The fact that these notes in this particular pattern make hundreds of humans feel the same longing and nostalgia for something that doesn't exist....that's magic. That is what magic is.
My parents rented this for me when I was like 5 thinking it was just a cartoon. It thoroughly creeped the hell out of me, I dont really remember the plot or anything just the creepy mask thing lol. Now that I'm much older and have learned its apparently a masterpiece I'd like to watch it again.
@Anime Teller I believe it that it’s a good movie but saying it’s the best movie I can’t agree. But that’s just me. My favorite movie is either Inception,Ford v Ferrari,Once Upon A Time In Hollywood or Pulp Fiction. I doubt spirited away has anything on any of those 4 movies. I can keep going and name a bunch of other better movies. Goodfellas, Baby driver, interstellar, winter soldier, into the spider-verse, dark knight,Rush, Forrest Gump. I can keep going. Which movie out of those is spirited away better than? I’ll wait
I watched this film when I was a kid, and when it finished I immediately put it again!! And the next day... Again! That never happened with other movies. Now once every two years more or less I need to watch it again. This movie just changed my life and that's why I have a Chihiro's face tattoo. Me and my sister will always be grateful to our dad for bring us this masterpiece from the video store.
StygianTraveler141 I have to disagree. Pixar, Marvel, Fox, Lucasfilm, are all currently owned by Disney, and they produce great stuff. While they do sometimes royally screw things up, Disney still, for the most part, produces quality content.

I can watch this movie over and over again. The train scene to swamp bottom is hands down the most iconic scene in the history of anime. A masterpiece.

I've said this over and over again: WHY ARE THE JAPANESE SO FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!! I don't care if I am soon going to be a wrinkly old black man soon in later years; I WILL STILL WATCH CARTOONS AND ANIME AND ALL THAT. I'll be a teenager in an adult body; I'm not going to let adulthood take away my childhood life! I LOVE SPIRITED AWAY!!!! I've watched it countless times!!!!!!
Thanks for the like. Me, I'll act like an adult when it is needed. For the rest of my life, I'll be a teenager in an adult body. Out of all the Japanese movies I've seen, Spirited away will always be my favorite.

Studio Ghibli really created a masterpiece that could last a lifetime.

I remember when I watched this movie I was 9, this movie seriously creeped me out cuz this movie taught me that losing parents at such young age is horrible. And also how the movie taught me how her parents just got blindly deceived by those fancy things and forgot the world. And now she entered this dream world, where people don’t talk and seeing these hierarchies in the community at the same time seeing Unusual behaviors. As a child you know nothing and this movie was like a dream you had and now that I’m 22 I still have the same feeling. Just masterpiece

You're not alone. At least, on the favorite movie thing. I loved this movie the first time I saw it too. And MAYBE I teared up a bit at the end. MAYBE.

I remember how I used to be obsessed with this movie as a kid but when I tried to find it later when I was older it was like it disappeared, none of my friends had ever heard about it, I only knew the name in my language and nothing came up when I googled it but I would still get nostalgic flashbacks of the movie a couple times a year. I was soo happy when I finally found it but it was a lot different than I remembered. Definitely one of the most nostalgic movies of my childhood. Ohh I loveeed watching the trailer of it on every Disney VHS tape before the original movie

English version of trailer: Shows almost every part of the movie in an epic way
Japanese version of trailer: Shows only the beginning of the movie in a suspenseful way
@@JanMasucci The English trailer is epic, but as soon as you watch the full movie, you realize the trailer is umm...
I hate this trailer..
The German trailer is way worse but I don't like either one of them because both butcher elements of the story together and even redub.
I totally agree.
The fact that these notes in this particular pattern make hundreds of humans feel the same longing and nostalgia for something that doesn't exist....that's magic. That is what magic is.
the fact that people still comment on this is like it shows how good it is
My parents rented this for me when I was like 5 thinking it was just a cartoon. It thoroughly creeped the hell out of me, I dont really remember the plot or anything just the creepy mask thing lol. Now that I'm much older and have learned its apparently a masterpiece I'd like to watch it again.

Best movie ever? Not slandering this but I can name some better movies
Not at all
@Anime Teller I believe it that it’s a good movie but saying it’s the best movie I can’t agree. I’ll wait

Disney fuck up everything they touch. Fuck 'em.
