Thanks for returning to Macy's to showcase the wooden escalators once again. Their sound is unmistakable and this is the perfect time for remembering past holiday seasons.
WOW brought back so many memories, in carefree child's eye. Thank you so much for this AK, I hope it also has many magical memories for you and others.
I haven't seen wooden escalators since using some of the older Tube stations that had them in London, they're all gone now since the fire at King's Cross station in 1987. Fun to see these still in use at Macy's. Thanks for showing the Xmas decorations too!
Just amazing AK that they are still using these. They look very nicely maintained and I like having things of the past that are still used today. Thanks!
Macy's is a pretty big department store. It has so many floors on it. Those wooden escalators are very neat. I wonder how they maintain those, given that the steps are largely made of wood? As I like shopping, that would be a good place to go to, as they have a lot of different things. Cheers! ✌️I❤️ NY
hi AK :) so fascinating to see these are so well preserved by macy's and in wonderful working order! i noticed on another recent video you paused to get a look at one that i hope was being refurbished and not to be replaced by the more modern stainless. it was pretty interesting to catch a glimpse of the inner workings to see how they were built back in the day. macy's does such a beautiful job with their christmas decor and displays every year! 😃😮👏☃
Woohoo, a dedicated video for the wooden escalators! 🤩 I'm glad Macy's is preserving them, and it's always fascinating to see and hear the sounds of the wooden escalator. 😃 1:39 Knock on wood! 😂 Thank you for sharing, AK! 🤗

That is really cool they kept part of history in the store.
Yes, it's super cool!
I never imagined Macy's had wooden scalators.from days gone by.thanks Actionkid.
It's really unique, i saw a wooden partanosta but never an escalator made of wood. Hopefully it will last another 100 years 😎
These escalators are real strong, they’ve been holding up all these years and have literally seen all walks of life.
Clickety Clack , Clickety Clack and that's that. I love these beautifully working wooden escalators, what a treasure.
Very cool. The sound of it is so neat
Awesome! In my city we still have a city street that's made from wooden blocks from probably over 100 years ago! Cool to see this stuff survive!

You're welcome! I've heard about the King's Cross fire, very tragic.
Ive never seen a wooden escalator how cool!
The modern escalator at the end really looks so dull, and devoid of character, in comparison.
Just amazing AK that they are still using these. They look very nicely maintained and I like having things of the past that are still used today. Thanks!
You're welcome, thanks for watching! They're maintained very well
Those escalators are old but they look great 😎Thank you for sharing A K 🙂👍!!!
Old but fully functional
Wow, Ken, the wood for the escalator has been preserved so well. This is wonderful to see! Thanks for the interesting and enjoyable video!! Cheers!! 🙂
I’m so glad we have some accent things still around. Much better than nowadays
Ak, this is very helpful because I saw some teenagers once trying to slide on the handrail or get down on up side and that's dangerous. Thank you!
I remember this as a kid
Your videos are great
Lov watching them all!

Now this escalators are in process of modernization by Schindler
Is that the escalator they used in Elf?
It could be!
ha....james and karla were just there yesterday
i wonder how they maintain it so well. I hope they won't remove them in the future.
They should. The King's Cross inferno proves as such.
@@framey3830 No, these are the best Escalators ever
I thought all wooden escalators went extinct after the Kings Cross Inferno.
Some traditions are meant to last.
WHeeeeeeeeee!
Toys R us is coming back
Joseph and today 😀
What floors are these on? I was there last month and couldn’t find the wooden escalators. I only went up to the 3rd floor though.
