I love that they kept a bit of history behind so we can ride these escalators ❤️

I didn't realize they went up that many floors. Very cool to see them in operation still. Thanks for the video.

The magic of wood! The wooden escalators with wooden treads takes me back to a time, before I was born, when my grandmother would proudly shop there while visiting! (I'm surprised the treads didn't get chewed up by high heels!) Thank you for highlighting this jewel in Macy's!

I think maybe Meier n Frank had escalators like that in 1959, which I rode.

I've never enjoyed an escalator so much! The destination didn't matter - the journey was the joy!

It’s so amazing on how it operates and it’s still around. I’m impressed and I’ve got to go check these out one day

I was afraid of the escalator (getting on and off). But then I would walk up it as if it were stairs!

Just think of how many millions of feet have been on these escalators in the last century. Bet they'd have some stories to tell if they could talk.

Excellent adventure. Reminds me of escalators from my childhood in the 1950s in Portland OR

I really loved the video and its sounds, such as the creaking movement and the sound of creaking wood, thank you Sifat.🤎🫶🙂
