- This is short clip of Bobby with the band Slaughter at the Verizon amphitheater in KC. From the Whitesnake tour a couple summers ago. The audio sucks because it was shot from the side of the stage. But they're playing Fly to the Angels and Bobby is digging in hard!!!
He is a technical master, should be more well known to be honest, but he seems so chill and content, cool ass dude
the Drum is on it's knees begging for mercy everytime he hit it..
Aw, you cut off before the part where he shoots the drums with a machine gun!
wow. he's playing openhanded. excellent. New respect.
LOLOLOL ITS RAMBONE.
LOLOLOL RAMBONE
LOLOLOL
How come Blas Elias isn't behind the drum kit?
I saw him at a clinic a few years back we chatted briefly afterwards and he gave me a free CD (signed, too).
I'm not particularly fond of his style, but to say that Rock is snob is completely ridiculous. He was a very approachable, very grounded and nice guy.
lol. your right man this is so funny!!!!!!!!
I'm a drummer, and did the whole 80's Hair thing. yada, yada, yada. 48 now, and still play a little. used to be "totally" in the loop with all this shit. who's in what band, who's playing with who. Lol so OUT of the loop these day. btw. ever hear of Denny Carmassi. try that guy for "old school" one of the best. probably my biggest influence in becoming a drummer, period. anyway, here's my question: what the F' happened to Blas? fired? sick? quit? bobbys totally bad-ass i will say. Peace
Knowing and working with Bobby I don't agree at all. He's one of the nicest and coolest guys out there.
He's very in tune with who he is, and is always willing to talk to fans
Your insane. I suggest you watch their drum videos. Rock is a thousand times better. Appice's video sucked.
you ever watch the zen of drumming? Check out Bobby Rock plays "The Octopus!" here on youtube. 9 drum pedals...2 at once. How technical can you get???
I take it, you never saw his clinic live? From your statement, he is not the most technical...
Born August 18, 1967 in Kennedy, Texas, Elias learned to play drums in junior high school. However, his first gig was playing guitar in eight grade. He also plays keyboards.
This is from Wikki
there's gonna be another drum basher out there soon, Jason Sullivan, who's also friends with bobby and myself. Bobby told me recently that the guy hits like a sledgehammer!! Those are his words.
he did come from Texas, I'm not certain as to how he and Bobby came to know one another, I could always ask Bobby when i talk to him later, but I remember reading that he sent Blas to them, and Blas flew blind with no money and hopes to get the gig because he had no way to get home*lol*
Are you sure? Blas came from Texas & it was stated that he new none of them before hand But I will look into it.
Blas was one of Bobby's students
Bobby actually was in the first version of Slaughter from what i understand, I should ask him....anyway, I was told he left with another offer from Nelson, and sent Blas to them, Blas was his student at the time
I've seen clips of his jazz/prog sessions.
He tours his ass off doing clinics and has monsterous set of Peaveys.
I saw him on the 1st VV tour opening for Alice Cooper - this guy can pound too. He's good!
Where is the band?????
Bobby,Mark & Dana Thats INVASION!!!!!!
Damn VVI where awesome in 86 ~ 87 Ashes to ashes ,Love kills Bobby with Slaughter is crazy....
which skins are you referring to...foreskins? bobby is great drummer - this clip doesn't prove that though
LMAO nothing wrong with hitting hard, BTW IT IS DRUMMING
I've played the skins for 20 years and that's not drumming. That's equipment abuse.
i like Blas more.
