The “he starts hitting some dance moves so I just sit on my butt” is so real lmao another great video brotha, always progressing in your game thanks for the inspiration!
Beautiful leg entanglements and tying the attacks to your other strengths in your game (wrestling up off of single leg X and the body lock type passing). I've found there is usually access to the opponents hip when they're concerned with defending their legs too. Bravo and congrats
Love the vid z-lock is my favourite sub the arm that's controlling the secondary leg tho try and hug your own knee or shin to make it even more tigther z-lock is one of the quickest breaks you def gave them allot more room to escape and relieved pressure by being so low on the leg.
I’ll watch it through and make a script, voice that over, then go through and edit it. I’ll often also add or make changes to the voice over as I’m editing. Once I have that edited I’ll add fitting music and stuff
sup josh. white belt here, only been training for a month or so. im focusing heavily on my full guard game right now. is your skool community suitable for beginners like me? or would it over confuse me trying to learn your techniques before im comfortable with what to do in basic positions like side control, mount, guard..
In the skool community we have multiple calls a week where you can send me your rolling footage and I can give you specific advice. You can also post them in the community and I can give you advice that way. I think that’s really helpful for all skill levels. However, the instructionals on there currently are geared more towards intermediate players. But the next instructional I’m putting on there is going to be about guard passing. And I think it’s going to be great for beginners. So up to you, if you can record your rolls I can definitely help you improve, otherwise maybe wait for more beginner friendly courses to be on there!
I’m sorry that happened dude. To avoid them I’d say avoid rolling with people who are significantly larger than you and spazzy(especially wrestling with them). Tap early to things. When you’re in a leg locking position that you don’t understand the defense to, don’t make explosive turning motions (I hurt my meniscus like that and I’ve seen a lot of others do the same). And when you do get injured take time off and talk to a professional, whether that be a pt or doctor.
Hi josh, I was interested in buying your instructional, but I wanted one for guard passing. Also, can we just pay for you to give us feedback on our rolls? Or will you make a guard passing instructional?🤔
Everyone who joined has mentioned they wanted a guard passing instructional so that’s the next one I’m going to put out lol. You could join for a month, join a few calls, or post your rolling in the forum so I can give you feedback, then cancel at any time!
@@JoshRichBJJ okay thank you. Where is the forum located? Do we have to pay 137 dollars a month? If we just want feedback, can we pay less? Also, if we buy it, do you have a number that we text? Or is that what for the forum is for?
@@JoshRichBJJsorry to bother you again, the video you made already explained all my questions, but all of those instructionals and reviews from you for only $19 a month? If it is, I will definitely buy!
Your leg locks are on another level. Great stuff!
Thank you bro!

Butt scooting is my happy place lmao. Thanks man!

Thanks man! Yeah I used to just sweep from single leg x so it’s nice to be able to attack the leg as well
Nicely done! And hilarious and insightful commentary as always! 👍
Thanks!
Great video! Would love to see more wrestling coming from a wrestler lol. But your leg game is insane. Keep up the great work!
Thanks man, despite all the guard pulling I’ve been working on it lol. So you’ll definitely see more of it in the future!
Solid vid. Love it

Z locks are no joke. I rmb Jozef Chen breaking that guy's leg with one in comp
Yeah that was brutal 😬
Great job Josh!
Thanks!
Crazy how you beat all these high belts
I was really hoping for a wrist lock speed run. 😆
Great video:)
Thanks!
Just learned the Z Lock last night at class. We drilled it all class, and my knee is sore today lol
were you at my gym today? I think we talked in the locker room. Thought you looked familiar!
Yeah we did! We’ll have to get a roll in next next time
Legendary
You must be super close to getting your brown belt.
Very nice
nice bro
Thanks bro
you need to compete in IBJJF again, these brown belts trying to pick on lower belts aren't gonna be a threat ever
what is your process with editing and voice overs and scrips? I am trying to edit my comps as good as yours
I’ll watch it through and make a script, voice that over, then go through and edit it. I’ll often also add or make changes to the voice over as I’m editing. Once I have that edited I’ll add fitting music and stuff
thank you. love your videos bro, maybe one day my video will be next yours @@JoshRichBJJ 🤞
Obrigado por mais um video, oss!

This guy has already been at black belt level for a while..but this video just solidifies it. Making brown belts look like white belts.

@@JoshRichBJJ yeah man that'd be super useful.
I will probably hop in, in a month or two
How do you avoid knee pain/injuries? I tore my meniscus (in both knees) grappling and it’s only my second year

@@JoshRichBJJI appreciate the advice. Wrestling with bigger people is definitely one of the causes
Nice man, do that same move, but shrimp butt out, doesn’t take much & jacks there hip up 😉
Thanks for the tip I’ll give it a try next time

Bro I think U should get your brown belt already 🫵🤎

Is the Z lock twisting the knee,or more of a compression lock?
Thanks!
The damage is from twisting the knee but if people insist on keeping their leg straight it’s also kind of like a sideways knee bar
Can you hit the Z lock without controlling the far side leg?
Brown belt? That is a complete embarrassment if that first kid is a brown belt. What is going on
I hate bjj so much
Why?
same (been doing it for 4 years)
Pleasseee no pull guard hhhhhhhh
I’m sorry I’m a recovering guard pulling addict
Josh sounds very dofferent. You still natty brah?
Naw I had a cold when I was recording some of the audio lol.
Just açaí and Jesus for me
