This is excellent. I teach sewing machine operation, and plan to use this as a backup reference for the students. It hit nearly everything I would say, and has very little I would consider unnecessary. Also the picture quality is great, and the voice is clear and easy to understand.
As a complete beginner to sewing who started with an industrial and does not regret it, this is indeed a very informative video missing only mention of the important confirmatory click when placing the bobbin inside the rotary hook chamber.
On a home sewing machine, when the thread and bobbin are properly inserted into the machine, together they form the letter "P" like princess. On the industrial machine when the threaded bobbin and case are inserted properly, together they form the letter "Q" like queen. So, I suppose I am ready to sew like a queen on an industrial machine!
I used home sewing machines and had bad results, such as uneven stitches, crooked seams because the feed dogs shift, etc. I am ready to buy an industrial machine. I didn't even know that threading the bobbin was different from a home sewing machine. Thanks for the video!
Ma bobine ne tourne pas sur la tige du bobineur j utilise la bonne taille de canette pour la Juki 8700 on dirait que la tige n est pas assez « ouverte » ou large je dois bien pouvoir ajuster pour que la canette soit plus serrée?
Hi I would like to correct this my Juki does not have a disk like your 8700 ; but 2 hole , the thread should go from back to front for first hole and the second hole should be from front to back
When sewing Jeans with Denim (medium to heavyweight) on an industrial, Should the bobbin tension be loose or tight? What should the thread tension be, loose or tight?
Could be different for different thicknesses and number of layers of fabric. Generally, once you set the bobbin tension on the bottom it should be fine Do a test sew with different numbers of layers of materials and then ensure that you have taught stitching on the top and bottom and that the loop or "lock" is in between the fabric Then you should be good to go As a point of reference when I sew with Tex 70 thread I have slightly tighter upper tension and a bit looser Bob and tension than I would if I was sewing a shirt with thinner thread
Make sure the scarf of the needle is pointed the correct direction. (Sometimes you need to rotate it slightly to get it to catch but it should be pointed towards the bobbin) Make sure that the needle is fully seated in the up position. Make sure the winding of the bobbin thread is the correct direction like a toilet paper roll. Make sure the bobbin thread goes through the proper grooves in the bobbin case. With a bobbin case out and the needle in, slowly rotate the wheel towards you and see if the rotary hook comes up right as the needle is down. The rotary hook should pass straight through the middle of the scarf. If the rotary hook does not go straight through the middle of the scarf then it is a timing problem.
I bought a brand new machine 7 months ago.. not once did it wind without giving me a hard time. I did open the passage any yet the same issue.. now I have inserted tooth pick to hold the Bobbi .. but the winding is not perfect and causes stitch issue..
You can spread the spindle the bobbin is on open with a screwdriver to make it fit tighter. You can also adjust the placement of the bobbin winder left and right by loosening the screw on the table and adjusting where it is compared to the tension disc on the bobbin winder. Continue to adjust these until it winds evenly.
It's the knob on the right hand side right above the reverse lever. Turn it clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the stitch length It goes from 1 mm to 5 mm.
Make sure that you have enough tension on the presser foot and you have the feed dogs raised enough otherwise the fabric won't be pulled through at the correct speed
this is by far one of the best and most easy to follow videos. Thank you
Glad it helped, happy sewing 🧵🪡
I just bought my new Juki and this is by far the best video I have come across for a newbee. Thank you 😊

Good morning! My coil is loose on the rod of the reel so it does not turn when I try to fill the coil, how can I tighten the coil on the rod?
You can use a screwdriver to press press the two tabs apart to tighten it so the bobbin doesn't spin
Can we use overlock or piko foot on this machine?
I would check with the manufacturer website
Excellent 👍
👍
Great job it does helping a lot ..

Hi I would like to correct this my Juki does not have a disk like your 8700 ; but 2 hole , the thread should go from back to front for first hole and the second hole should be from front to back
Yes, that is correct for the top threading, you really don't need the top disc
Is it possible, please, to purchase this type of sewing machine from a store in America?
Yes, many stores in America sell industrial sewing machines, Globe Sewing in Cleveland, Ohio is a great place to buy one 🧵🪡
Thank you very much❤

How do i remove the bottom bobbin from hook?
Pull on the horizontal lever on the bobbin case

@@WhatMakeArt Ok.
How he choose white color tread in white mashing u barely can distinguish the tread
Thanks for the feedback about thread color, I agree and have been using high contrast thread in newer sewing tutorial videos
This machine can be operated by applying quilting pressure foot
Yes, I believe you can use a quilting presser foot
Please I need help on how to fix the feeder dog holder
Probably best to contact the place of purchase so they can take a look at the feed dogs
Make sure everything is flush and screwed down
I’m having trouble getting the bobbin thread to catch. What could that be?

Hi, what size thread and needle was used in this video please?
Tex 69/70 thread, a bonded polyester thread
Needle was 110/16
@@WhatMakeArt would 110/18 be ok to use with tex 69/70?
Would 110/18 even fit on this machine
Yes it fits
Here's a good guide on thread and needle sizes

If it was new 7 months ago I recommend taking it back to the place of purchase. There should not be a need for a toothpick to hold the bobbin in.

I have a problem with my Vesta industrial digital machine stiches

How can I shorten the Stitch on that machine
It's the knob on the right hand side right above the reverse lever. Turn it clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the stitch length It goes from 1 mm to 5 mm.
@@WhatMakeArt but we have done that and it's still not working
