Dear Michael in the foreground you had iso 6400,f2.8 and shutter speed 5 minutes? I think you had noise in the foreground!!! Your photos is amazing!!!!!

Can you please share the exposure details for the foreground? Same settings as for the Milky Way just 5 minutes long?

Love your videos Michael...always pleasure to watch and learn...i am curious,what ISO and F-stop you use for the foreground picture that you say it is very long exposure (5min) ?
Amazing image Michael. I am looking forward to yours and Gavin's Milkyway course. Does it include how to do a timelapse, pano and stacking of the stars? I find that difficult as the earth moves the stars are not in the same place for the pano to stitch properly. I am so glad I subscribed :). Cheers
It will 100% have stacking. Timelapse will be included in a different tutorial and I think Panos will be its own tutorial as well. There is just so much to cover in detail. Quick tip for Panos is to try and use PTGUI, I might do a free pano stitch tutorial here on RUclips just to help people troubleshoot the stitching problems. Thanks so much Wendy! :)

Two questions: 1. Will the tutorial discuss MW panorama techniques? 2. Is there visual evidence that Gavin really ditched those nasty sandals? (We can only hope it's true.)
Panoramas will be saved for another full length tutorial and I will also release some new short panorama tutorials here on RUclips.

Can you address condensation and dew points...or maybe direct me to an appropriate video? I’ve been on Mt Rainier @ 6600’ trying to get some astral shots and usually end up having to constantly clean my lens because of dew drops (and freeze my ass off). Thanks...
I have used hand warmers around the lens and then put a jacket over the camera to hold in the heat. That has worked pretty well in most cases. I mostly do that when I am shooting long astro-timelapses in cold places. you can also use an electronic lens heater, they work alright. Maybe the one that I have is a bit cheap.
