Crop Factor & Equivalencies

This has got to be the most highly debated and most misunderstood concept in all of photography. Which is unfortunate, because it is really quite simple.
This is not a battle of opinions. The facts are not based off of what your favorite photographer or RUclipsr said. This is math. This is a matter optical physics and lens design. Camera manufacturers know this. Lens manufacturers know this. It is their understanding of these absolute facts that allows them to design and manufacture effective camera lenses that serve their intended purpose. Unfortunately, it is the consumer and end user of these products that ends up confused.
So, in this 6 minute video I am going to break it down for you.
I hope to demonstrate how this all works, what it all means, and what the actual facts of the matter are.
