This is what I talk about in this video:
    01:22 - upon/up on/on
    05:06 - English adjective order
11:58 - the meaning of 'fare'
14:29 - the verb 'to double'

I like so much the method of your teaching:you are relating word and expression in a logical philosophical and etymological meaning, but in the same time, you explain their practical use----unfortunely,I have a poor memory, and sometimes. , when a have a conversation,I try to use words and expression which are laying in my mind, but I can't take them out from my memory----------I'm greatful to you, because your special bonding with different aspects, gives me a very easy way to not only to memorize, but I find myself, taking. them out from my memory without thinking too much. Thank you very much!!!!!May feel healthy and safe!!!! P.S.( if you don't mind,I would be glad to get from you, some corrections of the text)

We live and learn. That was a great lesson for all of us, I've been speaking and listening to English for over 76 years. It has given me more confidence to answer some awkward questions that arise about how we use the language.

Hey! I really enjoy this kind of videos because it's not just explaining the rules, but giving context and sense to things we tend to see as mechanical. There are so many other aspects of language we don't generally hear about. But fortunately, there are you to show us what more are there!

It is commonly known that newbies are terrified by grammar rules. So your video is de-terrifying them to learn and invent new words. And why not. Everyday a new word is invented, why not, let's join the flock.

    Hi Christian,
I really enjoy watching your videos, because of your clear pronunciation and explanation.
I've got a (silly) question for you related to a particular RULE.
Why we are OBLIGED to say: "I LEFT my keys at my office." (NOT: "I FORGET my ...").
I'm NOT against the GRAMMAR RULES implementation. What confuses me is a situation in which I DIDN'T REMEMBER to take my keys from my office and I HAVE TO SAY-I LEFT ...
Kind rgs from a person who tend to be a GRAMMARIAN 😊😊😊.

At some point I started thinking nothing will ever be the same, but look! Though I was wondering how that camera was swaying around... I once was curious about the rest of the room where you were filming :))))) Thank you :) As for your question from the beginning of the video - grammar explanations would be indeed very valuable. ONe student asked me to explain how the sentence would change and I tripped.

As for the order of adjectives: I have a mnemonic for it
SASH COMP : Size Age Shape Colour Origin Material Purpose (and all preceded by opinion).
Of course it is difficult to remember in practice but you don't have to. You only have to memorise a few examples and drill it many times.
e.g. A beautiful 2m-.long, old, round, brown, Italian, wooden dinner table.
or when describing people e.g. She has stunning, long, straight, black hair. etc.
