Thank you So much for this I love Silent Hill and I have been looking everywhere for a guide, to build the pyramid man. So thank you so much for the tutorial. Also I subscribed 😀.
I'm thinking of using an ipod touch or a mirror to see. As soon as I get some time to pop it in, I will post a video on my solution. Glad Ive helped and I'm happy you have enjoyed my video!
Well I prefer the Red Pyramid Thing over the PH from the movie because it actually plays a symbolic role for James Sunderland, but for a Halloween costume I think the movie version is much scarier. Also from the look of it, the movie version looks like it'd be much easier to see through!
Duuude! I’m so happy I found you again let alone found an update! I worked on this helmet years ago after the first vid (never got the paint/details done) scraped it after a few moves & been thinking its time to get it going again!
Sorry, I missed this message! Here is a link to the measurements. If you are making one for the new film, or Halloween let me know!!! ruclips.net/video/FCtq-hJBrr0/видео.htmlsi=IXbZQR46WGDeqt6F
I cannot wait to make this thanks so much dude its so helpful I didn't want to go out and buy and actual cosplay helmet they ate so expensive!! Hopefully I have it finished by Halloween 🎃
I’m guessing we’re able to replace the polystyrene with cardboard, yes? The polystyrene where I am is expensive, and cardboard seems to be the way to go. Just wondering since you were originally making it out of cardboard. Thanks!
Hi Dax! I'm planning on creating the helmet but I'm a little stuck. What are the angle measurements for the back piece at 3:33? Thank you and can't wait to complete this!
I'm attempting to make this for mid summer scream in about 3 weeks! Do you have a mini template we can scale up or exact measurements anywhere ? I can already see myself getting lost here but a download with a mini diagram would be insanely helpful! Great build, BTW!
Hi, I posted another video with all the measurements. :) Also, if you follow the links to my website, I have all the images and the 3D model I made to download. Follow my instructions on my Dax79.com page and you can print a model off, make it in paper then go from there. Do what ever suits you! Good luck and I hope to see your finished product ;)
This was really helpful! I'm working on a pyramid head cosplay and don't know how I'm going to make pyramid heads robe/shirt. If you have anything that could work for it please tell me. Thanks :)
Pop to a church and as if the have any old cassock alter server robs they are disposing of. I believe that's what Red Pyramid is wearing, and with the Mythical story that is told it kind of makes sense. I took one apart the put it back together but sowed up the bottom leaving 2 little holes for my legs. Then added some leather straps from a handbag from a charity shop to finish him off!
Dax help! I'm a completely helpless newbie when it comes to cosplaying but i really want to try and make this. I've tried using foam (but it might be too thick), i had too much trouble trying to replicate what you did with the left and right panels at 4:44 how do i keep them in place *and* bent to the same angle? and if it's not much trouble, could you please tell me how thick in millimeters is the foam underlay? it'd help a ton.
Hi, So glad you're making a PH! It's worth it! To get it to hold in shape like at 4:44, Cut the parts out and lay them on a flat suffice. Add (on the outside) some small bits of masking tape. Now when you pick it up the parts should stay in place. If you were to flip it over the pannels would flap and move, if you turn it back they should stay in shape. With the tape on the top, you should be able to move the side panels into place. If you watch you can see me doing this. The underlay polystyrene/foam is only 2 to 3 mm. I used it because that's all there was at the shop here. (My island sucks for materials) You could use foamboard or EVA sheets. If you wanted you could go old school and use cardboard. Eather will give the same shape and effect. Anyway, keep me updated and I hope to see your finished product! Dax
@@Dax79 Thanks a lot for the help man! I had a few failed frustrated attempts yesterday but i'm back again with double the amount of foam. i managed to find some 5mm boards that will probably work nicely, i'll be sure to update you once i get it done, but once again, thanks for the assistance!
Hi, I did it by eye. I look at where the helmet lined up with the body using the PH and James fight in the water pump station. But if you head to my channel I did fo a video measuring this helmet. Hope that helps!
Hi, (I really should post a video...) Its just two bits of 'Moon-Shaped' cloth sawed together. I left a small hole in the back centre and filled it with old socks lol. Then sawed it up. I then glued different coloured string to it (Reds) and then painted the tumour different reds... like a tumour. Then I covered it in PVA glue. when it dried the glue went transparent and shiny. Yummy. I have WIP pictures on my www.facebook/dax79cosplay page! I hope that helps!
This is an awesome video but I was wondering if you had the lengths of each triangle in cm somewhere in another video because I tried making it myself but it was much to big.
