    Please tell us the ratio of fragrance oil and soy wax for scented candles..where to purchase the raw materials for business purposes?
    Fragrance oila and essential oil which is better..?

    • @sosacandles
      @sosacandles  5 месяцев назад

      @bindumadhavi4103
      1. When it comes to scented candles, getting the right ratio of fragrance oil to soy wax is crucial for achieving a nice scent throw without overpowering or burning off the fragrance too quickly. In my experience, a good starting point is using 5 to 10% of fragrance oil per total weight of soy wax (if wax is 200 gm, then 20 gm fragrance oil (10%)/ if wax is 200 gm, then 10 gm fragrance oil (5%). However, you may need to adjust up or down slightly depending on the specific fragrance oil and your personal scent preference.
      2. As for purchasing raw materials, candlemakingsuppliesindia.store/ is one of my go-tos - they have a selection of high-quality soy waxes, wicks, jars/tins, dyes, and fragrances all at reasonable prices with fast shipping.
      2. Speaking of essential oils vs fragrance oils, there are pros and cons to each. Essential oils are natural plant extracts which many customers prefer for their purity and therapeutic qualities. However, they can be significantly more expensive than fragrance oils which are blended from natural and synthetic sources. Fragrance oils also tend to have better hot and cold scent throw for candles. Personally, I use a combination of essential and fragrance oils in my product line to offer variety.
      No matter which scenting route you choose, I'd recommend getting sample sizes (50 to 100 grams) first until you find oils/blends that work well with your wax and wick combination. Let me know if you have any other candle-making questions!

    Hey dear i have a quary if i want to change the jar after making the candle should i drown the jar in hot water what should be the temperature
    Another one as i want to start a candle business from which wax should i start parrafin or soy? I want to concentrate at first only on jar scented candles

    • @sosacandles
      @sosacandles  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, just remelt and it’s good to reuse. No need to worry about the temperature, just try and keep it on simmer or low heat 🙂
      Also, I recommend just getting to know all the waxes before you decide on what business you want to start. I have a video wherein I have detailed information on waxes, I think could benefit you tremendously in confirming which wax is good for your business.

    Hi, how much stearic acid and vyber should be added to paraffin and soy wax? Can we use only stearic acid in both waxes?? What is the role of vyber in candle making??

    • @sosacandles
      @sosacandles  5 месяцев назад

      Hi Kinjal,
      That’s a brilliant question.
      The properties of Vybar are similar to stearic acid. You can use stearic acid and you must use 1-2% of stearic acid of total weight of wax.
      In terms of role - Both are commonly used as additives in candle making. Stearic acid helps to harden wax and improve burning properties. While vybar is a polymer additives that enhances fragrance retention, color dispersion and together they contribute to the overall quality and performance of the candle.

Many say that start gifting your candles but if it's not possible for any reason then how can one get sales? I apologize if my current video didn't provide the specific details you were looking for. As I've shared very detailed instructions across many of my earlier candle making videos (linking them below for your reference), I try not to REPEAT that same foundational information in every new video to avoid repetition and impair the viewing experience.
      Regarding the "pep talk" criticism, my intention is never to waste anyone's time with fluff or filler content. The tips and advice I provide are meant to be helpful explanations and words of wisdom I've learned through experience. However, I can understand if some find that style less helpful than precise measurements and instructions.
      Please feel free to SPECIFY which particular aspects you need more details on - wax types, fragrance amounts, wick sizes, temperatures, etc. I'm happy to provide more granular guidance in dedicated videos for topics that weren't sufficiently covered before. Constructive feedback helps me improve the content to better meet viewers' needs.
      My goal is to share this craft I'm passionate about as helpfully as possible, not give empty motivational speeches. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know how I can improve. Getting into the specifics is absolutely valid, and I'll make an effort to strike a better balance between general tips and detailed step-by-step instruction going forward.
