    What's the temperature of wax when you add fragrance oil??

    • @sosacandles
      @sosacandles  Месяц назад

      It’s the same as candles. I add fragrance oils at 75-80 degrees.

    Amazing video. Which one do you find best? Is it plastic pitcher or the steel pifcher to pour the candles?

    • @sosacandles
      @sosacandles  Месяц назад +1

      The dilemma of plastic vs. steel for candle pouring! Both have their charms, don't they?
      So I use both, the use cases are different. For jar candles or wide mouth container pours, steel jar is nice, however for narraw containers or any designs that are small in nature, I prefer the plastic one, as it has a narrow spout, and prevents too much leakage. Sharing the links for your reference.

    Hi, i have a doubt - by the time I take out the melted wax in a jar, add fragrance & stir for around 2 mins - the entire wax temperature just drops down, how to tackle this ? I have seen everyone calmly stirring & keeping the pot aside & sticking wicks, but the wax temperature just goes away in this time.
    thanks

    • @sosacandles
      @sosacandles  12 дней назад

      @anjaligandhi5924 Hey there! Don't worry, it's normal for the wax temperature to drop a bit when you're adding fragrance. You need to add fragrance oils, when your wax temp reaches 80-90 degrees, than after adding fragrance and stirring, your temp will reach around 75 degrees, that's when you pour your wax into your jar.
      Just keep an eye on it and try preheating your jars next time. Candle making is all about trial and error. All the best, and let me know how it turned out.
