I think the line about HIV wasn’t really intended to be offensive towards anyone at all. While I understand how you could look at it as immature, Tyler’s definitely not making fun of victims of the virus in my opinion, just a line imo
the hypnotic feel on OKAGA, CA is soooooo sooo real, it's not just because you're at the end of the album, it really DOES THIS when you hear it. it's my favorite track
bro that track was full of crazy musicality made me feel billions of ways. his ways of synths, his harmonies and melodies and that immersive soundscape with that classical leon ware, alice smith and clem creevy, a cherry on top of the bomb. Felt brilliantly composed by a goofy guy with a green hat.
Pilot is my favorite song on the record and by listening to it multiple times I always wondered what he meant by "I'm in first class but I feel like coach". I came up with the logic that Tyler at this time felt that even with all of his fans and being so well known, that nobody knows who he truly is. He recalls this with the line "Y'all don't even know about my existence, it's like I'm dead to you". That's why even with him "Having everything in the world" He feels like he is in coach.
I looked at all your reactions to haunted mound and noticed that you really like buckshot and I ask you to take a review of the track "IF A HAD A GUN" I'm sure you'll like it sorry for the text I translated through a translator with love from Russia
considering if he knows the model that the song is supposedly about, Blow My Load seems to me like it's about two lovers separated by their work. There are multiple lines that imply that he and whomever this song is about have been intimate in the past, and he's thinking about her. He knows intimate details about her, and they aren't intimate anymore because he's on tour. So, they facetime each other to be close, but it's not the same. Etc. Oddly enough, I think the song is kind of romantic. hehe
Albsolutely loved this review!! A couple notes are - The line “she said that I must, I don’t have any armpits” hasn’t made sense to me for the years I’ve listened to this album up until today - I think it’s sorta important to mention that Tyler is (essentially confirmed) bisexual, so his use of the f word thing is a bit more acceptable to most, I think at least, as one myself lol.
@@papasquat08 More details about Buffalo is that it could be the continuation of Yonkers (Tyler's song from 2011 Goblin that you might want to check out the MV) because it has the same subject of shock value and characteristics in the deleted music video of Buffalo/Find Your WIngs and MV from Yonkers. The obvious hint would be Buffalo and Yonkers, both being New York Cities and him hanging himself at the latter part of Yonkers and at the start of Buffalo, perhaps the two characters being the identical personality of his alter egos. Also Tyler actually hated this song due to it being forced to be made to please the old fans and resulting, followed by controversy resulting with the Official MV being removed, although i would say Tyler probably enjoyed the artistry of it.
i'm a little late to the party :D one thing i would like to address in particular thus far: at the end of buffalo, you said how it doesnt make sense to you to get angry about people wanting acknowledgement and praise etc (paraphrasing heavily here) but i think what he is complaining about is not that people want it, which is perfectly natural just like you said yourself, but rather it can be viewed in exactly the same light as the kardashians, like you also mentioned yourself right after: just like how the kardashians do not contribute to society, to the world or whatever else really, the people from whom social media users are craving and demanding the attention, praise, acknowledgement, also dont contribute to their life at all. you compared it to finding a partner, but the partner who loves you actually knows your real self (ideally), and loves you for who you are, not for some fake online persona flexing with your cars etc. i think this is like comparing real friends to online friends: someone who has 3000 friends on facebook, does not have 3000 friends. so what tyler would prefer people to do, imo anyway, is not: do not crave praise and approval, but rather: be mindful of whom you desire this approval of, and dont lose yourself in chasing that temporary high
Good thoughts and I think I agree. I'll have to rewatch what spurred this comment, but it sounds like you did a better job of connecting all that than I did.
Pls react to flower boy it is the absolute peak of his work in my opinion. Goblin was ok wolf was good and Cherry bomb felt like a transition stage. Really hope to see you react to it👍

One of my fav Tyler albums, glad you’re finally giving it a listen. I’m sure you’re gonna like it lol
He made like 7 albums, what's the point of saying it's one of your favorites? I mean it surely is on your top 7 lmao
@@kyokurama5404 wait till you figure out how many artists have only made like 7 albums or less.
@@doubleaabattery7562hell ur pretty lucky if they have over 7

I think you would like some of his newer albums. Try out ‘Igor’ or ‘Call me if you get lost’

I think you misunderstood buffalo i took it more as stepping out of the hivemind of the masses
Definitely could be. I'll look at it again.
