I’m not convinced the reason behind his desire to leave if it is actually true is not just because of the things going on at redbull. Newey recently said they have extracted most of what they can from the redbull and he also said if new regulations offer enough scope for movement then he is interested. He said these new regulations interest him. I feel he see a new challenge and or chapter in his career by moving to a new team. I personally think he will go to Ferrari because they offer him two out of his desired missed opportunities of who he hasn’t worked with before. Anyway until something is confirmed it’s all speculation at best.
If he wants to leave Red Bull because of the Horner vs Mateschitz Jr power war, his only F1 destination is Mercedes. From Milton Keynes (Red Bull), Brackley (Mercedes) is just 20 miles away, Maranello (Ferrari) is 960 miles away.

Ferrari is just a logo and a history, is not associated anywhere with performance, glory and pride. The team from 2025 has already problems, like two nr 1 drivers(Leclerc and Hamilton and none of them will listen team orders so if they ll attack any title, they will fight each other) and even they have the strongest engine, they still suffer from low reliability or an aerodynamics concept that destroys the tyres… about team s clown race strategy there s nothing to be said.
