I told him flat out, that I felt unattractive to him because of his lifestyle choices. Biologically, it makes sense that women would find "unemployed" as very unattractive in a man because if we ever got PREGNANT during that time, we'd be screwed. I also have a friend who broke up with her BF for also getting fired from a DUI. We're not gold digging whores, just realistic adults.

Men are attracted to women more for their physical appearance and women are attracted to men more based on their reliability. Nothing wrong about that as long as you're honest about what you want out of a relationship. Also if a woman expecting you to get your life together makes you that bitter, then yes you are better off leaving her and staying single. That's in the best interests of all parties involved.

I then gained forty pounds while waiting to know if the charges would be dropped (they were). Took me about 24 months from that point to get back into shape, get the business going again and to build a new social circle where I'm at. The suffering makes you immeasurably stronger
