Chris I appreciate your passion to making golfers play better. I was very impressed of how helpful you were when I asked a question. You responded the next day and very helpful and a great instructor! Keep up the great videos.
Thanks for another great video Chris. This couldn't have come at a better time, I'm struggling with the driver right now. You have a gift for fundamentally breaking down the golf swing and explaining it simply to an audience. Cheers.
Hey Chris. I can not get enough of your videos. Always great. I have been using the spray powder alot this year with my Driver. I would love to see a video on causes of high and low face contact with Driver. I seem to get. Higher contact with a good lateral shift. Thanks.
this is probably the one tip thati was most susceptible of. gotta try it. so simple and yet seem so effective. been struggling for years with hooks and slices(ocassionally a bomb that goes pretty straight).
You'll be pounding driver for the next two to three hours and never improve the rest of your game. Let me know when you have to hit your driver out of the bunker.
Hi Chris. another first class video. Great content on your channel and I (and many others no doubt) appreciate your dedication to helping us get better! To determine where I hit the ball on the golf club, I use masking tape when I’m at the range. The ball leaves a visible imprint.
Been hitting my driver Ok but today I snap hooked two balls (on same tee) OB. That took me by surpise since I uave not done that for a while. This vid comes just in time to straighten my driver game again
As always, some really great ideas. I've had a couple of 5th place finishes in local tournaments .. which is great since I lost my swing in the covid break. And out with friends, playing 6400 yards .. I shot a 76. It's been quite a long while since those types of scores. So, my thanks for all of your efforts and ideas to keep us out in youtube-land on the right path. (just realized that the last sentence is a pun.)
Couple of questions please! 1. If you are striking the ball off centre (toe or heel) is the simple fix just your set up and manipulating you distance from the ball? 2. If you do slice the ball and you work on your delivery of the club face to get the ball travelling left, is this a case of feel or would you slightly strengthen your grip until the desired ball flight is achieved? Ps. Thanks for all the videos!
Hi Chris. Great vid. Question: I’m right handed and when I use the driver the ball goes pretty high and straight, but at the end the ball gets a strong curve and bends to the right, with the ball landing at least 20 meters or more to the right side of the target. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong and how to correct this?
Hi Chris, I didn't find tip 3 gave enough info on the angle of the club face (open or shut) but concentrated more on the swing path. Do you have a RUclips video on control of the face at impact?
Hi Chris, execellent video :) However, I didnt really understand the second exercise. Should I hit the peg at the heel or avoid it to hit the ball dead center on the clubhead? Cheers!
Thanks, Chris. Funny, my issue is coming from the inside and hitting the outside of the ball (releasing too early), and it is certainly NOT what I want to do. If I then aim out right, I push it.
Sweet swing you have there Chris....I ain't gonna play you for money or suds.... controlling an object flying near or over 100 mph to hit the sweet spot consistently, is harder than the times of 29.....but one good drive is all it takes to keep ya coming back...
ive been given drills recently by my coach one is the head cover just outside of the ball and the other one was a no turn in the hips drill or holding the hips a bit longer in the down swing. Do you have a break down vid of the no turn or delayed turn of the hips?
One has two arms and hands and they are both used to hit a golf ball. I use both and send the ball long and dead straight. I am right handed. My left arm is my guide arm and my right forearm is my power source.
Jordan Evans thanks for that. Unfortunately I block mine straight right ( I don’t think I’m releasing ) but I took what Chris said to the course and tried hitting up on the ball. This gave me much better strikes but I now need to get my face closing 🤦🏻♂️
I found out that standing way behind the ball at address forces me to stretch out my arms fully at my follow through, which in turn makes the ball go dead straight. Is there a long-term issue with doing this? (I only do this with the driver off the tee)
Good simple tips and I will definitely give them a go. The only problem I have is there are only mats at the driving range with no ability to put tees into them, any thoughts?
Hey Tony, not sure where in the world you are but in the U.K. I know you can but my winter tees for when the ground is frosted over, they just sit on top of the mat, not too sure what they are called but a google search may find them
OMG..!! 3 Simple Tips Turned Into a Complicated Mess..!! LOL..! Any golf tip over 2 minutes is pretty much usually a waste of everyone's time.. Usually..God Bless..!!
ChrisRyanGolf thanks Chris. The 3rd drill only relates to people hitting a slice. What if I’m already hooking it? Do I simply place the head over on the inside?
Alright, I'm done. What is the Swiss Bank account where you want me to send the money? Seriously, Chris, send the info. What, $100, $1000, $10000? Unreal -- such common sense. Thanks again.
Anyone who wants to hit a driver straight is hunting for a unicorn, I would rather have a certain shape whether it is a draw or a fade and play a natural shape
I think when most golfers say they want to hit it straight, what they really mean is they want to hit the ball in the general direction they had planned out in their mind. If I can keep it in play off the tee more often then not... I’m a happy camper.

brand new to golfing. your videos have taught me so much. i'm ready to hit the course again this sunday and see how much i can improve
this is probably the one tip thati was most susceptible of. gotta try it. so simple and yet seem so effective. been struggling for years with hooks and slices(ocassionally a bomb that goes pretty straight).
I’ll definitely be trying these drills my next trip to the range! Thanks Chris!!
Thanks Jacob
You'll be pounding driver for the next two to three hours and never improve the rest of your game. Let me know when you have to hit your driver out of the bunker.
Thank you very good beginner steps and drills!

I cant wait to incorporate these drills on my next range session!!!! Thanks!
Ty Chris the best as usual!!! Awesome coach/teacher!!!
Thanks Kevin

Nice clip 👍👍👍! As a current RUclipsr, I am on the lookout for new ideas! Great Job!
Great video mate 👍🏌️♀️
Tip no. 3 is just what I need .

Thanks Georgia and love the ‘pun’
Sounds very sensible in theory. Looking forward to trying it out for myself. Might come back if it works....
Very helpful drills, thanks for these Chris!
Thanks Ed 👍
Brilliant tried this but the all went wrong what best the best to grip the driver👍

Hi Chris. Please do a swing with a tennis racket attached to the middle or bottom of the club. My hands get confused at the top of the swing
Love that Chris mate ❤️👍
Great video. Cheers
Thanks Malcolm
Thank you!
Thanks, Chris. Funny, my issue is coming from the inside and hitting the outside of the ball (releasing too early), and it is certainly NOT what I want to do. If I then aim out right, I push it.
Nice will try.
Thanks Jimmy and hope it helps

So true Butch, that one sweetly struck shot and we are back again the next time trying to relive it
Thanks !!!
Really good video. Something I will be trying at the range, especially the first one. I step up and swinging the driver just feels awkward. Thanks
Hope it helps Romain
Your opinion on wedge selection.

Excellent vid, thanks👍🏻
Do you have any tips to stop hitting the ball high off the driver face?
In most cases that would be due to a steep approach angle, hitting touch more up should see the strike move mode to the centre 👍
ChrisRyanGolf thanks very much, I’ll try it tomorrow 👍🏻
If the ball is going straight then experiment with ball position and tee height. Move ball back in stance slightly and/or tee the ball lower.
Jordan Evans thanks for that. Unfortunately I block mine straight right ( I don’t think I’m releasing ) but I took what Chris said to the course and tried hitting up on the ball. This gave me much better strikes but I now need to get my face closing 🤦🏻♂️
Hiya Chris.
Does the neutral path, simulated drill work for irons too? Or is it driver specific?
Thanks!
Yes you could use that for irons swings too 👍
I found out that standing way behind the ball at address forces me to stretch out my arms fully at my follow through, which in turn makes the ball go dead straight. Is there a long-term issue with doing this? (I only do this with the driver off the tee)
Hey Aaron, no not at all, if the ball goes straight then keep doing that same routine
Chris, how do I correct a hook with my driver??
Good simple tips and I will definitely give them a go. The only problem I have is there are only mats at the driving range with no ability to put tees into them, any thoughts?
Hey Tony, not sure where in the world you are but in the U.K. I know you can but my winter tees for when the ground is frosted over, they just sit on top of the mat, not too sure what they are called but a google search may find them
Cheers Chris I'm in sunny Blackpool and as it happens I have a set of said tees. Thanks for the reply
I like your approach. Little like Mike Malaska - educate your feels and learn impact.
When I hit hard I felt my left knee shock down causing my club to hit the ground b4 the ball. How do I fix it?
The drills are helpful but who made the beat for the intro??? ♨️♨️♨️
Your boy, Tatu69, up in this bish... selling beats shraitout da trunk of his 2005 Civic, yo.
On your strike you rotate the body, before that your body stays square. It is not the same thing
OMG..!! 3 Simple Tips Turned Into a Complicated Mess..!! LOL..! Any golf tip over 2 minutes is pretty much usually a waste of everyone's time.. Usually..God Bless..!!
Guess all the golf coaches around the world should start opening up their coaching diaries every 2 minutes then 😂😂👍🤦🏻♂️
You're a clown
If i could hit the centre of the face i wouldn’t need this video 🤣
Tried the first drill and everything is hooking to the left. The video doesn’t say how you need to adjust. Any advice?
Hey Gareth, if the ball is curving left this will be doe to the club face or strike, so the third drill
Should help with that in practice
ChrisRyanGolf thanks Chris. The 3rd drill only relates to people hitting a slice. What if I’m already hooking it? Do I simply place the head over on the inside?
Why don't you have the club face vertical all the way around when you have your arms out horizontal. That would be the simplest motion?
You certainly could but that wouldn’t involve any forearm rotation which would be costly in terms of distance 👍
How I would love to play off fairways,
Wouldn’t we all, much easier game from the short stuff 👍
Derek Ailes Fairways? I thought that was the walking path.
Alright, I'm done. What is the Swiss Bank account where you want me to send the money? Seriously, Chris, send the info. What, $100, $1000, $10000? Unreal -- such common sense. Thanks again.
😂😂😂thanks Richard 👍
How do you guys keep that left arm so fucking stiff??!! please how?!!
Test

Plenty of golfers out there finding
Unicorns 🦄😂

First
Hey Chris, you never talked about the rest of your clubs. That tell me you can't hit them straight. If your so good why aren't you on the tour.
Ah man this dude said a whole lot of nothing just go to the range
