I’ve been watching your videos for a couple weeks, practicing 2 hours a day and seeing awesome results. I just shot my lowest score EVER yesterday, 80 on a par 71 course ending with 5 pars in a row and total of 10 pars on the day. Absolutely insane and still in shock myself. Appreciate your content, thanks!
Really, Chris is the only instructor you need. Take it from one that had to skip 3 years off the courses. Getting back was not easy, but Chris got me back on track with his instructions. Thanks again Chris. 👍
I’ve learnt more from Chris in the last month than I’ve learnt in the last 20 years. Lessons are simple, to the point and accurate. Thank you Sir. 👏👏👏👏
20 years of golf and this was one of the BEST instructional videos I've seen. The explanation itself is gold, the breakdown and step by step👌 Appreciate the tips and explanation!
Hello Chris I am golfing for about 3 years now and I want you to know that you're instructions are great! Golf is a sport of understanding and practicing. You help me very good with showing exactly what I need to do, with no restrictions,to become a better golfer. And it helped a lot. My friends are wondering were my golf improvements come from. Thank you very much!
While your basic driver swing video is my favorite (and is something I have watched about ten times as I worked on my driver swing), this video is also an excellent overview of what is needed to build a driver swing. Also, on an unrelated note, I am so impressed by how you can hit your drives while those deer are right in front of you. If that were me hitting with deer that close, I would fixate on trying not to hit them (and then probably slice the ball two fairways over to the right).
Watched the video. Went to the range and used the body to bring the arms around on the club take away. Game changer. I think you have finally given me the answer to my back swing position Love you content. Cheers.
Great video, yet again you always make it look so easy, relaxed and repeatable. I think each time I have remembered all the important points and yet, the results don’t always go to plan. Well if it was easy I wouldn’t be watching all these videos!
Thank you so much for all the helpful videos. Your Instructions are precise ,clear and very easy to understand and follow. I really enjoy watching your presentations and have successfully used many of your tips. Well done Chris
Chris, Could you do a video of the take away. A lot of average golfers including me are confused as to the position of the face on the way back. Does it stay square or does it slightly open. I hope you can do this. Regards Ron Mc
This video seems right on point, as far as it goes, which is not quite far enough for me. I feel like I have what I consider to be the middle of the swing down pretty well. That is the part that is covered by the video. My problem, as I see it, is on the ends of the swing, that is, what happens after the hands and arms reach about hip height on the back swing and the through swing. How do I complete the back swing and get the club to the top, and how do I complete the through swing and get to the nice balanced finish that Chris demonstrates. I can see it, but I can't seem to do it.
I work at a range and hit hundreds of balls. I also watch Chris and Danny Maude for video tip and training. I have an instructor, but hard to get time. I can tell you, that after watching Chris and Danny a lot, a whole lot. Slowing the videos to see every point of there swings, I have zero issues with my driver. Played 18 today, hit every fairway. 2 things... stance, wide, maybe a bit wider than shoulders. The other? Keeping the shaft behind the ball and LOFTING at address. I can turn my fade on at will. Most of my drives are very straight with slight left or right, but playable. Now, Chris... teach me to draw that dog!!!
Thank you Chris, certainly very informative on the importance of setup, the early part of the swing and weight distribution. Would it be possible to elaborate sometime, on the weight distribution through transition and delivery to the club to follow through? Maybe when it’s not raining 😜 Great work as always and appreciated.
Hi Chris, Great video, your coaching is truly excellent and your videos have helped my driving become a lot more consistent. Do you have any videos around controlling ball flight height with the driver? Occasionally I can hit the ball very, very high and only 100 yards or so (usually hit it 250yds). Clearly it’s a miss hit but I’m not sure why… Cheers
Another great instructional video Chris; keep ‘em coming! Just curious, what is your hourly rate for private one on one lessons. Very thankful that for your content and tips we can all benefit from just by subscribing to your channel for free!
Is there any drill or wathever to get the right distance you stay away from the ball "everytime"? of course this applies to irons too but i find it more difficult to find the right distance with my woods. Thanks for these tips i will totally give them a shot!
Great video Chris keep up the awesome work you do .. i use a drill where you swing the club forward then back helps when my swing is off .... I average 260 yards with my 3 wood rarely miss the fairway took driver out of my bag was wondering if I should put driver back in or stay with 3 wood ...driver i can hit 290 yards or better but crooked .... I'm a 9 handicap
This entire video is just a low key deer flex. Perhaps it’s time to set out some salt blocks, adopt one (or many), give them proper names and make them the channel’s mascots.
Should there be a different address in different driver Because I noticed there are some driver that you're playing a little draw but another driver will give you fading
My issue with my driver is I consistency from round to round. Not hole to hole. Some days I’m 15/18 fairway, some days I’m 3/18 fair way. It’s just so frustrating
There will be a technical reason for this, the hard part is trying to find what that is, that should be the goal over the next few rounds or practice sessions
I'd love to get a longer video just on weight shift, I've heard some folks say you should never "shift" your weight backwards - and they'll cite pro golfers don't do that (looking at you golftec and stack/tilt people). And they say the reason is because it adds variable on where the club is at the bottom of the swing... would love if anyone has more info on this. I'm so lost on weight shift and what's "right". I notice you did have a video on pressure vs weight shift: ruclips.net/video/E2NOBf_KWgI/видео.html which one are you trying to do? a weight shift or a pressure shift?
@@desano1975 yeah I think where my brain gets held up on. Is that, you can't really exert force/pressure downwards without their being a weight transfer. so if you just stand up right now, with weight distributed 50/50 and without pushing on anything else above you, or moving any of your "mass" over to one leg, and try to push down with one leg into the ground - you can't. Try to push down on one leg, you can't really do that without there being weight to shift over it, and load into that leg so you can then push off the ground. Now yes, I do agree onthe whole "don't sway" thing. And maybe that's more what golftec/stack&tilt golfers cite, is don't sway. I don't know, I can't find a consistent answer, and both sides will point to pro golfers say they do shift weight and they don't shift weight.
Like your films but I’m put off with your response to questions, 3 from 27 is crap, I was going to touch the button but not now, these people follow you but I’ll not, cheer’s.

Great video - just technical enough to get great guidance without scratching your head. Thanks Chris.

Great video Chris, this really helps me !! Thank you

The most basic concepts and drills are often times the best. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Wilson

I watched this video alongside Chris,’ s other video on clubhead speed - really insightful. I am off to driving range tomorrow to test. Thanks Chris

Excellent check points . Great .
That set up tip at 03:43 made such a difference in my last game Chris. I can't wait to get back on the course to see if I can do it again!
Excellent instruction. I like your teaching style and your drills.

Love that, thanks Dean
Chris
I am a high handicap
Lost my off the tee swing
This video was great
Went to the range and followed the instructions and had great results
Great tips Chris….the simplicity is what I love….if only it was that easy to replicate!
A lot of tips you're having to create a whole new swing. These are subtle and they work. I really can't believe it. Thanks Chris!
Thanks 🙏🏻
Great Instruction👍👏
A wealth of good information, explained clearly. I especially like the arm position comparison between driver and mid-iron. Thank you!
Excellent lesson! Greetings from Bavaria...
Thanks for watching

So true Martin, and it certainly doesn’t feel easy, sometimes the game feels extremely hard work!
Another excellent technical video and you also get the award for "Best Supporting Cast by Deer" for the background activity.
I love the deer! They always seem to make an appearance 👍
Thank you so much for all the helpful videos. Your Instructions are precise ,clear and very easy to understand and follow. I really enjoy watching your presentations and have successfully used many of your tips. Well done Chris
WOW ! What a revelation ! Thanks!
Some great tips Chris and the progression of them through the video helped to keep it simple and easy to follow, thanks!
Great video as always… explained clearly
Thanks Chris. I'll be taking these tips to the practice area tomorrow as my driving has gone a bit wayward the last couple of weeks. 👍🏌
Hope they help Rob
Like your videos done on a course tee box....the pheasants, deer & wildlife. Great golf tips too!
Thanks, the wildlife always seem to show up when I’m out there
Chris you have a great way of explaining things. I am enjoying your videos but more importantly they are helping me to improve my golf . Thank you👍👍

Great tips thanks RC
Great vlog,I no what you having for Sunday dinner ,
Great video as always 🏌🏽♂️👍
With my drive, i would have been having venison for dinner with that opening example shot :)
🤣🤣🤣
ahahahahahha

Wow great playing Robert, sounds like that driver is most definitely a strong point for you
hit the right driver ??? seriously, many are hitting the best they can afford, not necessarily what's best for them. Your instruction is stellar !
The most expensive isn't necessarily the right driver
Hey Chris bro I watch this went to drive range after a few slices put what you say into practise and bang every shot straight cheer man 🤙🤙
Love this Chris, one of your best ever imo...so clear and easy to apply!!🙌👍
Thanks Owen

Great work as always and appreciated.
I think I’m going to do a longer video on this as there have been a few comments asking for a little more on this
Would love to see a video on balance Chris especially with driver.
Thanks Chris, can you explain angle of attack when striking the ball, do you swing out?
All the tips I see are great, but try to go to the range but a head cover down is okay, but if you hit it, it is very hard to go out and get it!
i think you fixed my irons !! thx
Great work mate.
Thanks Jason

Loving the 8 different species of animals about in the background throughout

Thanks and glad you enjoy the content. Unfortunately at the moment I’m not offering individual coaching sessions
Could you a video on how high your hands and arms should be and upper body angle on the follow thru just after striking the ball ?
I can certainly try to create something align those lines
Is there any drill or wathever to get the right distance you stay away from the ball "everytime"? of course this applies to irons too but i find it more difficult to find the right distance with my woods. Thanks for these tips i will totally give them a shot!

I’d say to try and get the driver going in practice and then when it begins to behave introduce it on the course again
@@ChrisRyanGolf I will have a go at that plan thanks Chris
This is good
Chris I was wondering do you offer personal lessons? Thanks
Chris, can you cover fairway bunker shots once more?
I’ll definitely try to add this, actually just filmed a video today on fairway bunkers but that is for my Facebook page
Subscribed! What course is that Chris?
Chris, is your trail arm slightly bent when you contact the ball? It appears that it is, but how much?
Thanks.
Very good. Thanks for posting. Would you recommend a similar arm hang angle for a 3 wood too? Or should is this something specific to the Driver?
Yes 3 wood should be closer to driver
hi chris i like your lessons and learn a lot, but what is that with these cows down your fairway. ;-)
This entire video is just a low key deer flex. Perhaps it’s time to set out some salt blocks, adopt one (or many), give them proper names and make them the channel’s mascots.
Now that sounds like a plan!! I’ll get right on that!
Hi Chris, which part of the club face should I hit the ball with?
Ideally the dead centre, although a little high and a little to the toe end of the club often works well for some
So, nice review. I am hitting my driver cover. And I am hitting low screamers hard left 180 - 200 yards. So so sad 😭
Keep grinding away and ok sure you will see results,
Should there be a different address in different driver
Because I noticed there are some driver that you're playing a little draw but another driver will give you fading
I love the deer are not impressed with you magnificent form and technique.
I don’t want to ask a dumb question but is there such a thing as too wide of a stance assuming you won’t be off balance?
Yes definitely, too wide and you become very stable but you loose mobility, so a happy medium is ideal
I'm legit waiting for the deer to end up on his tee box, taking lessons.
They have loads of lessons, they flush it too…… just camera shy 🤣
Very helpful. It looks like your hands are slightly back of the ball at set up as opposed to neutral or forward. Is that correct?
I’d like to see them in line with the ball Will, it’s always somethjng that I have struggled with, I try to get them forward but they always slip back
My issue with my driver is I consistency from round to round. Not hole to hole. Some days I’m 15/18 fairway, some days I’m 3/18 fair way. It’s just so frustrating
There will be a technical reason for this, the hard part is trying to find what that is, that should be the goal over the next few rounds or practice sessions
Great video but the deer stole part of the show
Okay there's just a random herd of deer at the start...
Far too many people not mentioning this. Several of these videos have deer just randomly grazing.
Aren’t they great! They live out on the back 9 so always nice to see them
I'd love to get a longer video just on weight shift, I've heard some folks say you should never "shift" your weight backwards - and they'll cite pro golfers don't do that (looking at you golftec and stack/tilt people). I notice you did have a video on pressure vs weight shift: ruclips.net/video/E2NOBf_KWgI/видео.html which one are you trying to do? a weight shift or a pressure shift?
Pressure shift is lower body not upper, stop the sway
It’s a great question and a topic that is hard to do justice in the comments section, I’ll definitely try to cover this in a future video though
@@desano1975 yeah I think where my brain gets held up on. Congrats on hitting a shot over your headcover! Jk great instruction.
Did he kill the deers?
F
Is it just my eyes playing tricks on me or was there a group of deer grazing in the middle of the fairway!!!!!
Anyone willing to gift out his used kits please?
Used kits? What kits do you mean?
@@ChrisRyanGolf Golf set please. Bag, clubs etc.
Thanks
Deer me
Those deer will never improve their games munching grass rather than listening to spot-on golf instruction.
Tell me about it Brian…. I’ve given them plenty of chances to learn…. Just not interested 🤣
I wish golf instructors would just get to it instead of all this talking
I agree
