  • Almost two months into learning to ride my EUC, I'm working on my last skill on my bucket list: Riding backwards
    Skill Development List:
    1. Riding the wheel
    2. Controlled turning and stopping without wobbles
    3. Smooth, effortless, relaxed carving and braking
    4. Smooth, effortless, relaxed acceleration and deceleration
    5. Finding max safe speed limit of wheel
    6. Seated riding, carving, smooth transitioning to standup or sitting
    7. Smooth, effortless, relaxed backwards riding
As much as I enjoyed systematically notching off each of my goals, my real focus was to develop comfort and competency with the wheel by becoming more connected and familiar with the wheel.
Becoming "one with" any foreign stimulus/skillset/art is where the techniques ends and the fun begins.
Don't miss the point of your practice, know what it is you're seeking to gain, and never let anything distract you from it.
    Truth in Training!
Happy & Safe Holidays to All!

OK dude!! If I can do the pendulum, I would also be 2 or less months in! Practicing tomorrow and everyday until I can do it and ride backwards.

Enjoy, but not too much. It blew out the self-balancing gyro on my wheel.

I’ve never seen pedals dip that much when going a certain direction

@@KaizenTao when you lean a certain way, the pedals “dip” or “tilt” a little in the direction your leaning

Soft mode does that, its good for braking if you can give the pedals a little time to tilt

      It's set on hard mode.

Thanks. Always wondered what that was.

2 months riding and you can already do that? You must ride a lot.

Whenever it doesn't rain. The RS is a great wheel but not well sealed.
