    I remember seeing this on opening night! The theater was PACKED. Every seat taken and the aisles were filled with kids that bought tickets to some other movie and then snuck over to watch Demon Knight. Everyone was super into it, so nearly every scare on screen caused the audience to scream. It was a great time.

    I love Demon Knight. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and themes due to it being zany, bizzare, wicked, funny, and goofy. William Sadler And Billy Zane did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Brayker and The Collector as they both put tons of emotion and depth into their roles. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍👍💯😎

      I have the movie novelization of this movie and Brayker and The Collector were very standard hero/villain roles. Brayker was much more formal. Sadler and Zane really brought a much needed life and vigor to their roles and made this movie 10x better than it would have been otherwise.

    There was a Tales from the Crypt film in 1970s with Ralph Richardson as the Crypt Keeper (he was just an old guy in a cloak). @@wiseguy01 If you consider the fact that both films exist in the same universe and are directly tied together by the relic that is referred to as the Key ( which is weapon specifically used against supernatural creatures) then it kinda is a sequel even though both films involve different stories. Almost similar to the Creepshow film series in that way.

    • @wiseguy01
      @wiseguy01 2 года назад

      @@victorewah2659 the only similarity between them is the inclusion of the key, that is. Other than that the films are totally different. The key does not even serve the same function as in Demon Knight, it is almost useless. Not the universe destroying relic of the previous film. And if these take place in the same universe, which I do not believe, why aren't demon knights and chosen protectors scrambling like crazy to get the key back from these idiots? How they get it away from Jerilyn in the first place? Or avoid the demon knight following her? The key is just being used as a prop for a much less entertaining film, it is irrelevant. This is not a sequel by any interpretation.

    Opening night and the only seats left? Individual places only. Me and my friends were totally split up... and I got front row center. Entirely too damn close for human comfort. Best audience reaction ever, and ended up being one of those memorable times that stick with you.

    I loved this movie as a kid. Which is very weird to say, but it used to make me laugh so hard. I think I was 6 when it came out. That's what you get when your parents have HBO. That channel had everything you don't want kids to see. LOL

    I know I said this already but I love this movie. It's all kind of slow played at the start and they don't quite let on what's happening and then the greatest reveal ever happens when Billy Zane puts his fist right through the sheriff's head then rips it off his body. So awesome. For a cinema release it's fairly cheap at around $12 million but they stretch it by filming on mostly the one location. I'm sure there's only a handful of demons they keep using over and over. They use the blood barrier effect only a couple of times then they just flash a red light but by then you don't really notice because you see it in your mind. It's a good example of doing a lot with a little and having the concept and story as well as some great character actors carry any caps in the budget.

    The actor playing Wally? He's also the voice of Roger Rabbit. And he was the sleep tech in the original 'Nightmare on Elm Street'. The one who told Nancy's mom that we don't know what dreams are or where they come from.

    You guys should react to Walk Hard : The Dewey Cox Story. It's a very underrated cult classic comedy and you guys would be the first ones to have a actual movie reaction. The only reactions are to a couple of clips from the movie. Stars John C. Riley, Jenna Fischer, Kirsten Wigg, Harold Ramis, Tim Meadows, and cameos from Justin Long, Jack Black, Paul Rudd, and just a whole slew of other great comedic actors and actresses.
    Either way looking forward to this reaction and keep up the good work, channels great!

    Oh, I remember this one, and I watched this film. And my babysitter was NOT happy watching it... remember, there were no smartphones you could sit and tap on back then. But I watched this one, and she was making all sorts of noises that entailed she wasn't having a good time! I fell asleep if I recall correctly, and my parents came home while the film was on, and the babysitter got in trouble for it. lol.
