You know when you first ever learned to ride a bike and going forward feels weird, you can’t balance, and then you fall. Learning to flakie going to feel the same way. If you had training wheels on your bike and just road backwards for 20 min just to get comfortable then took training wheels you would be able to flaikie no problem. Only thing is you don’t have training wheels, so go out there learn to ride a bike again (except in reverse) you are going to fall, so don’t clip/strap in when you practice save yourself the pain. You got this cheers
I don't have a dominant foot, I always practice both feet (in skating as well) I always ensure I'm equal on both sides, Like being goofy or regular, new skaters/cyclists are actually capable of doing both it just takes a little more focus, but allows full freedom of direction.
y u p ! After finally eating dirt trying to unclip hastily one time, I just removed mine... I figure if I can't even do it without, why give myself a crutch?
I’m having trouble figuring out which is my dominant foot, I skid with my right foot forward and whip it a little to the right, and feel more comfortable bunny hopping with my left foot forward. when I’m in a trackstand I have the front wheel turned to the left with my left foot forward
Bro i got my fakie down and ive been trying to slider for a week still havent got it without putting my foot on the ground, hope you figured it out after 3 years lol
@@joshuaslobodnik3942Yo, my sliders are solid now! Now it feels natural, but I was so lost in the beginning to understand the dynamics. Better fakie also helped a lot. The slider is much easier with solid fakie and proper speed. Go with the momentum, shift your weight back quickly when initiating. You can also force it by pulling the handlebars harder when initiating the slider. It is all about not loosing the momentum when sliding the rubber on the ground so more speed really helps. Putting the foot on the ground is a matter of commitment I believe. Good luck brother!
Question, what is the material of the frame? does it have to b a chrome to do like bunny humps and like basic tricks? I i cant decide to go fixie or fgfs just need it for commuting mostly. Awesome tutorial btw.
Awesome tutorials! What strap brand do you recommend? You mentioned Velo City in this vid but they carry 2 or 3 brands. I've heard bad things about some brands, that some are too small, velcro doesn't hold, or they don't hold their shape on their own (stay open). Recommendations? Thx!

what's happen when my skid dominant foot is the right and the bunnyhop dominant foot is the left?
No hard and fast rule. Just advice. You'll figure out pretty quickly which foot feels easier to start off with. Cheers!
FOAD Gang thanks guys, cheers from Chile
Cool! Where's the dog?
You are broken, please send him back to factory for repair.
@@FOADGang whats your preferred gear ratio

Best in depth guide I've seen yet, really inspires me to do more than just skidding and trackstanding.
Indeed.
You should do a basic guide of basics, like getting into pedal straps, where/how to buy fixed gear, how to ride brakeless, practice routines, etc.
I like this idea!
everybody has their own way to control the backwards bike but this tutorial covered the whole thing. Great work Jackson!
That was soo sick!!! 🙌🏼😎 let’s see how you those wheelie 180s 🤙🏼
Woah big fan! I didn't expect you to comment on a fixed gear bike video! Are you a biker as well as a skater?

I honestly thought you were born with a gift ♡
Juan Rincón fuzzz, I wish the fixie gods blessed me with such abilities out the gate. 👐

If you can't get out of your straps don't use them when practicing. Save yourself some pain.

Arctic Minibike hey there. Glad you enjoyed the tutorial! The brand I’m referring to is velocitybags.com
Do you ever get your pedal touching your front tire?
I get so scared to do nose bonks, I think mainly because I don't know how to timing it with my dominant foot.
I've never broken a bone but after this video I cracked a rib
great! I would like to see how to do wheelie
So you could only petal backwards when your back tire is in the air, for all fixie gear bikes?
Never mind but why can’t my bike ride fakie.
Sick shirt
Yessssss!
Can u guys do a tutortial about 180 spin
is there a ratio that makes it more easy to learn?
Can you Gamow if your bike has brakes
could u recommend some straps and pedals ?
From doing all these tricks,is it possible the headset would get loose?
Definitely can come loose along with other parts, be sure to always inspect your bike and keep up with maintenance.
Directions unclear I bent my whole tire
Sigh, I’ve got a Frankenstein bike I’ve built over the years. How do I know the difference between a track bike and a freestyle bike?
If it has brakes or is not UCI approved it's not a track bike. You can look up the regs.

How do get over the fear getting not stuck on your straps?
Hey, what kind of shoes are these ? ( the adidas )
wheelie tutorial pls:D
What brand of your handle dude?
So I trackstand with my left leg forward but skid with my right leg forward how which leg should I fakie with?
Same. Maybe just try with both legs and then decide which is better for you
bence oláh exactly what he said. Try out both feet and you’ll figure out which is more comfortable pretty quickly
whats better? cliples or straps for fixie riding
i never use clipless (bcs its expensive) so i prefer straps...
How do you lift up ur back wheel?
Thanks
Hi guys, would you recommend steel or aluminium frame for tricks?
Steel is s little less likely to break
Whats your gear ratio?!?!?!
What model straps do you use
him cleaning the lens with his shirt in the beginning fucking hurt me
I still cant do it,i tend to lean towards the left and fall. Even if i manage to go straight i will turn left
