When I started I would fall over sideways as soon as I got the front wheel up. Make sure your hands are centered on your bars. That solved that problem for me
danggg looking back, this tutorial really did help me out on wheelies, i remember really struggling with it but i pursued it and one day it just clicked. Now im doing no handed wheelies now, and hopefully wheelie no feet. Thanks jackson lol
One thing That helps is when ur riding a medium speed when the cranks are horizontal As in The middle line of H push down and pull up it will be easier to pick it up
hi guys, i have a short riser (and also kinda hard gear ratio 49:16 but planning to buy a 18 cog) does a longer riser helps with balance sometimes I pop it but I don't stay long in the wheelie
This is hilarious. This video reminds me exactly of my how to bunnyhop and manual BMX video I made. In a parking lot, dog following me everywhere I go lol. Right on man
Hey Jackson, I recentely bought a single speed bike (with a flipflop hub) and I'm considering trying the fixed gear. If you would make a list of things to learn first from Keo spin, wheelies, trackstand and fakie, in wich order would you try to learn? Thanks for the videos!
1:04 What is the deal with changing the position of the pedals there? I'm assuming it's something to do with the bike looking nicer when the pedals are both level but I'm not sure...
Can a 48:16 work ??? I’m having trouble pulling up and finding my balance I don’t know how to to keep it long because everything I pull up my front rim goes straight down and it’s very light I don’t know how to pull up and keep the wheelie
What gear ratio do u suggest? I’m currently running 46/17 and it’s pretty hard for me to get the wheel up controlled. I either whip it up way to less and drop down right after or I pull it up so hard that it looks like a failed backflip attempt.
great vids! Many thanks! Perhaps a silly question or you said many times about(haven't found) what's bike sizing is good or recommended for tricks on fixie. does it differ much from average street ridin' or track racing? thanks in advance.
I would add this: Push ur hips forward while falling back and make sure your entire weight is on the saddle, otherwise its way harder more like a manual. Weight on the saddle is the secret. Make sure your not accelerating while pulling too.. Btw u dont need arms.. U can lift it one handed or even handless
Hello, I prefer using drop bars on my fixed gear. Are the tricks you showcase on your channel doable with drop bars? I would assume maybe bunny hops would be harder. I'm coming from a BMX background where there's the wider grip.
@@FOADGang I understand, recently I was able to buy my first fixie, but this one has dropbars, so I have to learn how to make a wheelie on it. Should it be done the same way as with a riser bar?

TENZING hey , i have the same problem. How do i make hands centered?
I have the same problem too😂
fallin sideways hurts like a bitch!
If you're falling sideways you need to increase your speed or pop with a higher gear 😉
Best fixie how to on youtube!! keep it up 💀👊 next probably fish and chips ? (most interesting how to do infinity fish and chips)
Definitely gonna do a fish and chips tutorial! Don't know about an infinity version. Thanks for the support!

can u do no feet now
Took me to 3 months to get a wheelie down really good and after 6 months I can finally wheelie with no hands thank you so much
how do u pick up your bike when you’re trying to balance yourself ?
i learned how to wheelie from watching your vids, am able to doing 1 hand wheelie now, learning freehand wheelie now.
That’s so awesome 👏 I’m glad we could help!

Wait fr 😭😭
i cannot bring up my front wheel please help
edit:i can now.Tip is dont use ur hands to pop.Use ur back
Lil Khaz kick the pedal like u mean it
It’s all in the pedal and leaning back not pulling up
don’t stop pedaling
If you use your back it’ll be “easier” but it puts massive strain and it’s hard to hold it up
Jerk with a bend and twisting motion and only use your back while it’s arched

How to bunny hop on a fixed gear for the next tutorial please?
That would be an awesome one to do!
Yes, please
Same as a regular bike but harder at high speed

It’s up now!
I finally learned how to pop up the wheel on my super old Walmart bike with no working brakes and I had to come back to this vid
I've never been able to sustain a wheelie but now I have a goal so I'm excited. I'm probably going to learn on grass
Thanks, i didnt find any good wheelie tutorials until now.
A fish and chips tutorial would be great too.
Fish and chips is definitely coming soon!
You are the man thanks for the motivation
Chris Kremer awesome to hear!
This is great advice for me, becuase my wheel and chain breaker should arrive today so I can go out and try this

Riser bars
ritchey bullmooses. i don’t think they’re in production anymore though
Is it possible to do it on a free gear fixie?

Do u need alot of strength to do wheelie?
MoreCNCJ not necessarily, mostly use your body weight!
Yes
If you still can’t wheelie what helped me is to push the bike foward with your arms then pull up

great vids! Many thanks! Perhaps a silly question or you said many times about(haven't found) what's bike sizing is good or recommended for tricks on fixie. does it differ much from average street ridin' or track racing? thanks in advance.
RodsYetBe totally depends on the rider size. In general a comfortable bike to ride on is a good size to trick on! Maybe a tad smaller even
The gear ratio is hard.. I tried doing on road bike lowest gear no problem wheel can get up.. but fixie how?
If I learned anything from skateboarding the faster the better, your momentum can just work with you better.
Are you supposed to pull up on the straps or push down on the pedals while you’re wheeling ?
Although is 6 years ago ,I'm still watching it

I honestly always had a hard time with wheelies until I started riding fixed; wheelies on a fixed aren't that different from riding a unicycle
Similiarish concepts for sure! I still cant ride a unicycle!
"it's all in the taint"
--advice from the person who taught me
I actually built a 24 inch fixed gear with low gearing so I could ride it like a unicycle
gearing ratio on a unicycle is 1:1 whick makes it quite different
speaking from the experience of owning/riding a unicycle, I can say it's close enough
Hey Jackson could we get more fixie tutorials !
WHAT are these bars they’re so sweet i cant find them anywhere
how much does your fixie weigh?
Hey, is it safe for the fork if we land it way too hard after doing a wheelie? I just cant land softly
Does it matter if I only have 1 strap???😊
which crankset do you use for wheelies?

why i cant make it with my solid tire what should i use bro

My ratio is 49-17, still playful or not? Do I need 18t?
nooo, its pretty much the same as 46/16
his ratio is 2.875 and yours is 2.882
What pedal straps do you have on your bike?
I keep trying to wheelie but when I pull it up the bars spin to the right
this trick and especially the barspin, is it possible to do them having a drop bar?

They are nearly the same ratio. 49/17 =2.88 while 46/16 = 2.87. Your ratio is just slightly harder but shouldn't be noticeable
