Arabic Ice Cream Roll ~ Homemade pistachio ice cream | بوظة عربي | بوظة الفستق الحلبي

  • The original way of making Arabic ice cream. pistachio and mastic gum ice cream.
    first of all, in a pot add
    500 ml of full-fat milk
    200g sugar ( you can add sugar to your taste)
    1 tsp raw sahlab ( add about 1/4 cup of sahlad if you're using drinking sahlab mix)
    pistachio as much as you want
    1 stone of mastic gum
    115ml of thick cream
    150 ml heavy cream ( you can add more depending on how fatty your milk it is)
    you can add a little bit less sugar if you want to add whipping cream that has sugar
    let this mixture boil for 5 to 7 minutes while whisking.

    Hi, thanks for the recipe. Actually I was only able to find readymade drinking sahleb mix only. Will it work and if yes then what quantity should be used. I found on the packet that it also had some mastic in it however, I have purchased mastic separately also. Thanks again

      Yeah it does the job, but you need to add about a quarter cup of it. Try not to add too much matic ,as you mentioned that your sahlab has got mastic flavour, so it might turn bitter . The ingredients and details are in the description box btw! And you're most welcome!

      ٥٠٠ مل من الحليب كامل الدسم
      ٢٠٠ غرام سكر
      ١ ملعقة صغيرة سحلب خام ( او ربع كوب من خليط السحلب الجاهز للشرب)
      يجيب خلط السحلب البودرة الخام مع القليل من السكر قبل الاضافه لتجنب التكتيل في الخليط.
      حجر صغير من المستكة
      ١١٥ مل من القشطة القيمر
      ١٥٠ مل كريمة سائلة ( يمكنك استخدام كريمة الخفق الجاهزة بالعلب، لكن يجيب ان تقلل من كمية السكر لانه هذا النوع من الكريمة عليه سكر مضاف)

    Stop calling it Arabic. It is both Levantine (larger Syria) and Turkish rooted. Arabic is the Gulf region. Lvatine has Aramaic, Hebrew, Kurdish, Yazidi,Armenian spoken and Arabic. Levantine Arabic is heavily fused with other language is completely different from Khaleegee (gulf) Araic which is the original

      @@LoverOFhopeANDcompassion in Arabic it's called Arabic ice-cream( بوظة عربي), so this is its name! When you go to an ice-cream store, if you say i want levantine ice-cream no one would know what you mean, because it's called Arabic ice-cream.
