sorry if this is a noob question, but if i already have a fair amount of 1 star gems at rank 5, can't i just awaken a slot(or more) and then replace it with a 2 star gem(s) later on? *good info
For someone who has played for the past 2 years your strategy might work with respect to 5 stars gems. However, for more recent f2p, it won’t work. I have played extensively for the past 5 months and never have I been able to get any good 5 stars apart from 2 BSJ. Markets are dead especially for bad 5 stars gems. No recent f2p is going to be able to have multiple 5 stars to replace their 1 star gem with.

We know from other videos that the text on a gem doesn't really match the mechanics, and when I've used seeping in the past, or fought against somebody with it, it's definitely proccing more than 4% of the time. It seems to me anytime the cooldown is reset, it's gonna proc within a few attacks.
2% crit chance from berserkers eye is much better than 4% dmg from pain clasp (rank 10 vs rank 8) and on top of that berserker has much better awakening bonuses torment also gives 6% attack speed which is huge r10 berserker with 1st awakening option unlocked+r10 torment with 1st awakening would beat pain clasp+vipers r6 by 10-15% and they literally cost the same (it would beat r8 pain+vipers as well and it would be on par with rank 10 pain+vipers for much much much cheaper price). I am sorry but this is a bad video/advice especially for new players.
Sweet spot for f2p players is four 5 star gems and four 2 stars if u are going pve route. If u want pvp then maybe six 5 star gems and two 2 stars. Make sure u get ur 5 stars to rank 4 and ur 2 stars at least to rank 6
Everlasting torment is still massive on a necro, so thanks but no thanks, advise seems flawed. And btw against current meta (mostly tempests and barbs) kir sling is useless. Do you even play PvP?
For what you have trick shot on a necro? Minimum f2p of low spenders should have vipers, pain clasp lament and torment for pretty much all builds, and if you think otherwise your don’t understand necro at all.
I'm sorry but this is wrong, bad info and advice. Berserker's Eye does 16% more from all forms of damage. Pain Clasp only increases continuous damage (dot damage) which is Bleed, Burn and Poison. You can't even compare those two gems. Everlasting Torment's Agony causes Bleed damage on crits hits which works on elites and bosses. Poison does not work on most elites and Bosses... Again these gems have different functions. The only good advice you gave is to explore different gems as all them have a useful purpose.
You have no idea what you are talking about, Pain Clasp doesn't only increase cont damage, it increases ALL damage to ANY target with ANY cont damage on them (not just your own, from any source). So if they are poisoned with Vipers, they will take 16% increased damage - thats a flat out damage boost, because cont damage is everywhere in bg. The dots applied by your teammates will also proc Pain Clasp.
I admit this video had me torn for a min because I have a ranked 10 berk eye and have it awakened and I almost convinced myself to replace it with something else. Until I read this comment I forgot how good this gem really is and goin to keep it.. thank you!

That’s why I use it, vipers torment bile voidspark 4pc grace and 4pc angmets. The dots are nasty

As soon as the change took place I ate the last four 1* gems I had left. All slots awakened no one star gems.😊
is the awakened gear still awakened even if we take out the awakened 1 star inside?

One thing for you xD monk can have perma 50% as from new helmet and only 2 vithu piece so amazing helmet for party 😮

Yes, you can awake all 8 slots with one gem, but awakened slot without any 5 rank gem will not work

It is difficult to get copies to 5 star gems so best to keep only 2/3 .
