That's the first time I've heard someone say a base engined Sentra is "hella quick and super torque". yea you got 130hp buddy. exhaust work gives you 5-10hp best case scenario. Enjoy what you drive but just be aware you are slower than a majority of even non-sporty cars on the road. Any minivan sold today will beat you to put it in perspective.
@@basslover352 lop yea not fast but it has 145 hp and wasn't as bad as I thought. 0-100 times definitely improved by a few seconds atleast and 0-60 happend in the 8 second range which is reasonable. Base model of the corolla and Honda civic may be slower!

More like peppy and satisfying but not fast. My friend has an 08 si and the best part is the vtec motor sound.
Way way faster than my 2016 Sentra SV. 130,800 miles and it takes like 10s to 60 and trying to get to 70 on an onramp (granted an uphill one) feels like I’m killing the poor thing
@@occckid123 It feels way slower than that. Usually I don’t mind the CVT but I think I’d prefer it if it didn’t fake shifts (or if the engine didn’t sound like crap)
@@raiderfly the 2.0 engine is a very smooth operator in the sentra. That's the 1st thing I noticed. I drove the kicks also that 1.6 in the kicks is thrash compared to the 2.0 and I think it may have been smoother than the 2.5 in my altima. I couldn't decide.
Around 74k miles. No major issues but I do have a small tear on the driver's seat. Think it was keys in my pocket. It's about an inch long. The passenger seat switch broke but someone broke it but I got it fixed at no cost and I was hearing a click from park to drive. The axle needed adjustment but they just replaced it for free under my warranty however they did it since the warranty doesn't cover adjustments lol. I did have a weird thing with the volume turning down when I turn it up when I 1st got the car but that got fixed when I got it. No check engine light or other issues. I haven't replaced the brakes yet. I know ibneed 2 do that soon. I also have michelin cross climate 2 tires. They work pretty good for the rain and winter weather I've been in. I have a video which may or may not be in. My channel of my car almost getting hit in the ice.
Watch the entire video. I did 3 runs. 2 of them no shifting! Jusz floor iz hard and fast. Stomp on thr gas pedal with the car at a complete stop. If you do this while slightly rolling it will not work. Slam on the gas and go. Don't be gentle. That's not going 2 work
Not quite but it's not terribly bad. Definitely the transmission is responsive on the hwy 2 downshift and eager 2 swap into a lower ratio with not much input because it needs a little more revs 2 hold speed. Def can tell the altima has more tq.
@@bradleyscarreviews ahh nice you have a fwd or awd? I fell once the car settles at 6200rpm around 35-40mph you can really feel the pull with the 2m5 when that happens instead of shifting. With the sentra I really didn't feel 2 much of a difference by the seat of the pants
@@bradleyscarreviews it's about as terrible as driving a rav 4 lol. They're all around the same speed. Not a significant difference. You should try 2 get a video of it not shifting. My mom's awd 18 rogue always shifts besides the 1 time lol. It's difficult 2 keep the rogues from shifting. Much easier with the altima.
@@terrapins 80mph should be atleast 35mpg and yes city mileage is trash..2 much idling. If I drive straight city it's like 28mpg with no traffic but city driving or it's about 24mpg with some traffic or gridlock it's like 16 lol

This is in the 8 second range 0-60 not 2 bad. Def not quick but it moves good enough from a stop
