      I measured 1 and a half inches from the ground to the back wheel of skate (snow white) seems better for three turns maube sins ad well? Is this about right? Some say three fongers but mine are rather wide

      I think toe stop placement is different for everyone; just like some people preferring EDEA over Jackson or vice versa, it comes down to personal preference and what works best for you. While I encourage spending half an hour or so every now and again to play with toe stop height and see what works best for you, at the end of the day, the 2 inches/5 cm measurement is just a suggestion. Every skater skates differently so your skates should reflect that, wether that be through boot and blade size/brand, insoles, wheel brand and hardness, or toe stop brand, hardness, and height.

    I get my inlines in 2 days! The wait is horrible🥲😂 I just hit my 6 months mark in figure skating (ice), and I wanted inlines to have fun on over the summer. The rink is closed for a good 3 months, maybe more😭I'm getting the Jackson Ultima Elle Fusion inline figure skates, and while I'm definitely expecting a big change, I'm also hoping I'll figure it out relativly quickly. I progressed fast in the last 6 months on ice, going from 0 experience to doding waltz jump, salchow and toe loop quite easily. It needs finetuning and practice, but my coach says I'm doing it correctly so far. Anyways, I'm rambling; thank you for these videos! I can't wait to not have to bike for 30 minutes to skate🥴😍

    Hello! I would like to ask, is it possible to do jumps and spins on inline figure skates without a toe stop? Also, I've been wondering is there a difference in Inline figure skates and regular/freestyle Inline skates?
    And tbh, I've been wanting to do figure skating for the longest time; but sadly the nearest Ice rink in our country is a 6 hour plane ride. So I've been thinking of using incline skates instead but I don't quite know which brand and pair work best for figure skating. And since 100 USD is practically a lot (and I mean A LOT) here in our country, I've been trying to look for a slightly cheaper pair of skates to buy.
    WHOO Sorry to dump that all on you! I've just been really wanting to finally skate (preferably figure skate)! And doing so seems so difficult no matter how I think about it.
    Anyways, thank you soo much for the video!!
    EDIT: I checked out some of the inline figure skating brands and I'm considering PIC; but there's a problem, and that every inline figure skates brand that I've clicked on won't load. Idk why though, it loads completely fine on other apps or websites. It might be a restriction in my country I guess. Though I don't know why they'd want to restrict inline figure skates specifically.

    • @Hazook
      @Hazook  3 года назад

      Yes you can! I use roll line toe stops as well, but make sure that they are metric toe stops! Roll Line manufacture both metric and American threadings, and American won’t fit on Snow Whites.

    I have Jackson Elle inline skates and fine the toe stop is way too big, will jam plugs work? I'm not really interested in jumping but more footwork

    • @Hazook
      @Hazook  2 года назад +1

      Jam plugs might be too small and cause you to trip a lot, I would look for toe stops that have smaller profiles like Jupiter or Powerdyne toe stops (those are American toe stops though so double check whether your frame takes american or metric stops!) If you've ever tried skating with no toe stops (which I don't really recommend but it might help you get a feel for wearing jam plugs), youll see how far you tend to lean forward for even something like simple edges or crossovers. You could also screw your current toe stops in as much as possible, but skating without a toe stop will cause weight-distribution/blade issues on ice.

    • @mscaliforniagirl135
      @mscaliforniagirl135 2 года назад +1

      @@Hazook I have the Bionic Artiste stopper and have tripped on this toe stop more than I'd like and need something much smaller. I switched to dance/synchro blades which has changed my skating on the ice but has been detrimental to my inline journey lol. I have the current toe stops all the way up but it is still an ongoing issue. Do you know if the Jupiter or Powerdyne stoppers will fit Jackson's?

    • @Hazook
      @Hazook  2 года назад

      Shoot, I'm not really sure, it depends on if your frames are American or Metric threaded. You could also try to wear down your toe stops a few millimeters. I tend to find fresh toe stops are way more grippy (and problematic) than month-old/used ones, but be careful not to wear them down too much, since you can't really un-do it, and don't wear them to the point of exposing the bolt inside.

    • @sewtechnical5943
      @sewtechnical5943 2 года назад +1

      I just got the Jackson Vista inlines, I reached out to Jackson and the said that it's OK to remove the washer above the toe stop, and now I have a perfect 3/8 of an inch gap. I also added some toe caps (meant for roller skates) and they fit great, just needed a bit of trimming for front wheel clearance.
      Thank you for making this video Hazook!! The diagram with measurements was super helpful!

      @Hazook  2 года назад +1

      No problem, I’m glad it worked out! Sorry about not knowing much about toe caps though😓

  • @lokig8138
    @lokig8138 3 года назад +1

    I have a question, can you use toe caps for inline figure skates? And could they be of much help? I have regular inline skates theyre pretty beat up. Luckily enough, They’re plastic. Figure boots are leather so I’m a bit worried they will get really damaged from all of my falls.

    • @Hazook
      @Hazook  3 года назад +1

      I've never personally tried them but I don't see why they wouldn't work on inlines as well. If you're worried about scuffs though, I recommend getting skate covers for your skates as well as taping them to protect the leather! In my experience, the most scuffs happen across the sides of the boot since falls tend to end with my feet sideways (the toe stop makes me scared of forward falls so I tend to avoid them if I can when I fall), so I'm not sure how much of the boot toe caps would be able to protect.

    How long do toe stops last generally?

    • @Hazook
      @Hazook  3 года назад +1

      It depends on how often you skate and how rough your skating surface is, but mine usually last 3-8 months (I don’t online skate in the winter typically, so I’d say maybe like 1-3 times a year?)

    • @Hazook

      Loosen the screw on the toe block, then they should just unscrew off. If you have Off-Ice or PIC skates though, I'm honestly not too sure, I haven't had the chance to skate in them yet!

      I live in Canada so I bought them from softedges.ca but Snow White’s (and most other inline frame manufacturers’) website should have a list of all their distributors in each country so you’ll pay less in shipping and taxes if you get it local.

    On the Golden Horse website, it says: “ The toe stop used for Presto is American threaded in inch system, and for Avant LT is European threaded in metric system.” ghskates.myshopify.com/products/golden-horse-loop-lt-inline-skate?variant=37866094788759 I don’t know why they use different kinds of toe stops in their frames. It’s rather unnecessarily complicated.
