- Let's unbox the @Prusa3D XL 5 toolhead 3d printer! This toolchanger 3d printer allows for true multi-material 3d printing and less wasteful multicolor 3d printing. What do you want to see me 3d print with the Prusa XL 5 tool version?

That was surprisingly thorough for a short video! Excited to see what you make on the XL!
When my XL 5 Tool came, it was a daunting assembly (I didn’t buy the assembled version). I had never assembled a printer before outside of an Ender 3 years ago. It took me 13 hours… and I loved EVERY second of it!! I have since built a MK4 Kit, and a Voron 0.2 kit. Confidence skyrocketed!
I think you should print a lifesized cat, I started printing some (smaller) cat models on my StealthChanger and I love them.
So jealous. Looks awesome.
I want to see the new studio setup, been watching and waiting on it
Full color pair of Jordan’s please. Nightmare on my bambu due to lots of color switching.
Nice giant beast
I think you should do a model of Jean
I definitely need a Jean / Gene model...

still tempted to get an XL, but waiting to see what the new Bambu Lab XL flagship this year will bring!
Let’s see something useful to aide in your network setup or HVAC
Print a whole car body.
What do the different tool heads do or are they just different sizes or color?
You can run different materials so you can mix materials together. Like print a screwdriver handle with TPU on the other layer and PLA inside, or I've seen plenty of compliant mechanisms where it is a part that uses TPU to act as a moving part but the rest is rigid. Can print Support materials that are soluble in water and easier to remove with less distance to the models so they print better on supports. Use PETG as a support interface material for PLA for the same purpose. There are a lot of uses. yes it can also be used for multi-color with MUCH less waste as it doesn't have to purge out the nozzle since each color has its own nozzle.
Cant wait till someone makes one better and cheaper
Toolchangers have existed for years. Doing one "cheaper" is hard. You've got to have the mechanical parts and electronics to support however many toolheads. Those and quality software / firmware are the expensive parts of a product like this. If it was easy, it would have been done by now. I welcome more entry level options, just not sure when we will see them.
@@MandicReally ive seen a few diy projects i know its alot. btw keep up the good work
Well, they are DUSTBORN, now it's their time to return to dust
Looks really slow
Print a cheaper multi-toolhead 3D printer.
