- If you want a simple & straight forward way to cut your own curly hair at home, you’ve come to the right place. In this video, I’m sharing an updated version of how I cut & layer my curly hair at home. I’ve recently made the switch from doing a wet curly cut to doing a dry curly cut with stretched hair. This DIY hair cut is for curlies who wear different styles with their natural hair; straightened, roller set, blown out & in its natural curly state. For my ladies who are wondering if this haircut can be done when your hair is in its natural curly state, it absolutely can. What I’d recommend is doing this on soaking wet hair & keeping a spray bottle handy to make this haircut easier.

i can't thank you enough for this tutorial! 🙏🏽❤ you saved my hair. i did an at-home wolf cut that was so choppy. i went to a salon to have more length cut and the layers blended. when i left it was still a shapeless mess! since then, i've been looking for a simple tutorial that conserved length, rounded my layers, and can be done on blown out hair for precision.... For my ladies who are wondering if this haircut can be done when your hair is in its natural curly state, it absolutely can! In fact, this is what I used to do. What I’d recommend is doing this on wet hair with a lightweight leave-in to protect it during the haircut & keeping a spray bottle handy to make this haircut easier. This is an amazing video. My hair is shoulder length, so I can’t use that clip you mentioned to hold my hair in front of my face. If I just do the pigtail cut, what will the perimeter look like if I don’t cut the perimeter separately? The perimeter is harder for me. Thank you.
