  • In this video of Living the Jo Life, we take you to the Top of Europe, Jungfraujoch in Switzerland. We started our journey from Interlaken Ost Station, where we caught the train to Grindelwald Terminal Station. From Grindelwald Terminal, we went with the ultra-modern Eiger Express cable car up to the Eigergletscher from where we caught the Jungfraujoch train up to the highest railway station in Europe. From the Sphinx Observatory and the snow-covered Jungfrau Plateau, you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps, glaciers, and some of the tallest mountains in Switzerland. Built inside the mountain, you will find the Ice Palace, exhibitions and many other activities. Check out our video to see what awaits you at this must-see destination in the Swiss Alps.

The Eiger Express is the worlds newest and most modern V cable car... Bevor the cable car was build you had to take a train ride up tu the Eigergletscher and that ride would have used an hour. And although the Jungfraujoch is impressive we rather prefer the Schynige Platte because already the trainride up and the amazing 360 view of the Eiger, Mönch abd Jungfrau, down the Lauterbrunnen Vally and down to Lake Thun and Brienz so you really can see why Interlaken is called that 😉

It is my opinion that if one has a Swiss Travel pass (or other pass) and has seen glorious sites such as Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Matterhorn and/or has experienced one of the glorious trains such as the Glacier Express, it is not worth the extra >200 CHf per person just to see Jungraujoch. Sure, you'll have the bragging rights, but the watch shop and the highest place in Europe that you can buy chocolate a novelty at best. It's also important to understand that the air up top is thin. A lot of people get light-headed, fear passing out, and they need to keep their visit short.
If one has their home-base in Interlaken and has the Top of Europe train pass, then by all means, do NOT skip The Top of Europe!

Only used our DJI action cam for the ending on the gondola, otherwise we just used our phones for the rest of the video. Unfortunately, we couldn't drone at this location. It is a no fly zone due to the helicopters and small planes flying over the mountains. We use a bit of stock footage to show the location. We do have a drone though. If you buy one the DJI Mavic 3 pro or the mini 3 pro, you can put the drone in cinematic mode. This mode flys slower and helps to get the smooth cinematic look. THANK YOU so much for watching!

yikes, I paid 115 francs roundtrip with the Swiss Half Fare card and that included the 10 francs seat reservations which I actually did not really need as the lines were fairly short (that is yesterday in perfect weather). So without the reservations it would've been 105 francs. The full price is a total rip off imo.

It wasn't really needed for us when we went but I would definitely recommend it during summer. We did book a return time. We spent 3 hrs up there which was a good amount of time for us. You could definitely spend longer though if you want to take it easy. There is about 10 - 15 mins between the cable car arriving and catching the train. Plenty of time for a quick photo and toilet stop. We hope you have a great trip!

Had longing to find the Truth, to find God, whoever that is, whoever that will show up in my longing.
Had a very short prayer " Whoever you are, if you are god, reveal to me".
Then all of a sudden, Jesus Christ came on a vision, dying on the Cross washing away my sins, then John 1:1 was revealed to me when i opened the Bible. Jesus Christ still performing miracles everyday.
What an amazing God Jesus Christ is.
Jesus Christ is the Truth, and the Life.
