      Hi, As per website states Titlis Rotair is open daily, except when the weather is bad and during the maintenance period (4 November - 15 November 2024). I’m planning to visit between 17-23rd December, can you please confirm, Cable cars will be open in these days? Like Titlis n Grindelwald? Thanx

      Hi there! From the village of Grindelwald, you have to take the train that's going back in the direction of Interlaken Ost, but then you'd exit at the first stop (Grindelwald Terminal).
      From Jungfraujoch, there's a train down to Kleine Scheidegg, then another from there to Lauterbrunnen (passing through Wengen). Hope that helps!

    YES....DEFINITELY WORTH IT. On one trip we went on a dog sled tour, were invited (they were probanly joking) us to ski, and loved the snowy ice caves. Weather was always nice at the top, but I'd go even if the valley cams showed fog.

    • @AplinsintheAlps
      @AplinsintheAlps  2 года назад +1

      It’s really best to do in order since you have to walk through one area to reach the next. For example, you have to walk through the panorama to reach the observation deck, and you cannot reach the ice tunnel without first walking through the historic section. Hope that helps!

      So glad our videos have been helpful! With the Berner Oberland Pass, you'll receive a discount on the trip to Jungfraujoch, and you'll only need a roundtrip ticket between Eigergletscher and Jungfraujoch. Probably easiest to just buy that ticket at a rail station once you're here in the region. Enjoy!

      Hi James! Honestly, it's probably the Eiger Express. You're so close to the north face of the Eiger, and the views down into Grindelwald are fantastic too.

    hello! i like your contents a lot!! my question is, i have an interrail pass and that covers the train route; lauterbrunnen-kleine sheidegg-eigergletscher-jungfraujoch. when i book this ticket, will i be able to visit all of this places as well?

    • @AplinsintheAlps
      @AplinsintheAlps  11 месяцев назад

      Hello! Be sure to make note that the Interrail pass only gives you a discount on the route that you mentioned, so you'll need to buy a ticket and ask for the appropriate discount. But once you have your ticket, you can stop and explore anywhere along the way, as long as you do so within the same day!!

    its not always that you have to get on the right section of train. You actually have to switch trains. A ‘helpful’ conductor was telling us ‘grindelwald’ and we got on the 61 vs what we should have the 62. Which would have been fine if we knew we then needed to switch trains a few stops down.but since the conductor sent us on the wrong train we right we just needed to get on a different car.

    Hi, small Tipp if you want to see some traditional woodcarving. In Brienz is the school for woodcarving. There are around 30 students there and they learn everything form the wood, to the tools, to painting stuff… it’s really interesting to see, and Brienz itself is just a really beautiful village:)

      We never buy the tickets in advance. If you plan to travel during peak travel season, you might want to buy a seat reservation a day or two in advance. But usually, during a weekday and early in the morning allows you to travel with less tourists.

      It's definitely possible, but we usually recommend separating these into two separate days to fully enjoy each experience. But if you really need to do both on the same day, we recommend going to Jungfraujoch early in the morning and then Grindelwald First after that.

    Love your content. I hv a question.
    i want to cover the following spots in one day. interlakrn to grindelwald first and do first cliff. Followed by grindelwald to jungfrau taking eiger express and return from lauterbrunnen and halt there for few hours then back to interlaken. Is it a possible to cover in one day. If yes. What is the process of booking tickets for all the routes.

    • @AplinsintheAlps
      @AplinsintheAlps  Год назад +1

      It’s very unlikely that you can do all of that in one day! You could do 2 of those things but not all 3 because of the time it takes to travel between each place (more than 1 hour for all of those routes). So pick your top 2 😊
