As much as people talk about Split (which I enjoyed), I’ve always said The Visit was really his “comeback”

Split was his first huge and universal movie since his flop era, but The Visit was that leg up he needed to make the run, absolutely.

Shyamalan is the marmite of directors
Personally, I think he's really competent as a director but as a screenwriter, his dialogue is often inane and hard to like

I think he's dazzling at both, being truthful. But I do understand people not loving his attempts because they are, like I said in this video and others, huge swings in many ways. His creative energy and drive is something I can't ever deny and I think you'd be a fool to hate on, even if you didn't love his movies. Thank you for watching homie!
