I will never understand why these guys didn't make it a LOT bigger. The early Monster Magnet albums are classics. Dopes to Infinity is STILL in my top ten albums of all time... and Spine of God, Superjudge, Powertrip....I mean....they are all excellent. And they can STILL put out good material... Wyndorf writes songs that I would have....if I had a lot more talent ;-)
Absolutely, man. I just can't understand how these guys aren't playing big arenas all over the world. They have incredible songs, great musicians and Dave is easily one of the best frontmen outthere. It's just mindblowing how underrated Monster Magnet is.
I just said Dave is one of the best song writers. He tells a novel worth of story in 1 5 minute song. I have vivid depictions of each song like a movie in my head when I listen.
Never too late. You gotta make sure to give something from each album a listen. They are all vastly different. Some stuff takes a while to get used to and find the groove but it's worth it.

I discovered Monster Magnet after Powertrip came out. I was about that 14 year old range that he was talking about. Kind of travelling through different genres, finding out who I was. Dave and Monster Magnet have been a mainstay ever since. What a cool dude. I hope to meet him one day and thank him for the good times that came with his music. So trippy and one of the best song writers in my opinion. Every song is a far out story.
Dave wyndorf has the blood of scorpions, hes intelligent, down to earth, creative and knows a thing or two about music, he doesn't pretend and is a genuine dude, I seen these guys back in 1993 and he cares about the people and the music! Monster mother fucin Magnet baby!
