Thanks for watching! Where's the best place you visited this year?
Probably Vancouver or the Redwood National Park. Hard to decide. 🤔
Madeira
Would it be possible to know the cost of the trip? Did you use a travel agency’s? Coved protocol? How did you get a Clovis test going back to the US? Was is expensive? Thank you
The PNW- I had never been before. We went to Seattle then took a car to Mt Rainer and on to Portland. (:
The Great Smoky Mountains!
As a german i really appreciate these videos because they point me to beautiful things i am so used to that i don't even notice them and it makes me walk around the city with more joy
Same here. Visitors have a totally different view on things.
Aswell as growing up with english in school. Today I watch videos like these sometimes without realizing they are not in german...
Me too, I was just going to the comment section to write down exactly what you said. 😄 I use it as inspiration where to go or what to look out for.
As a mexican let me tell you I am IN LOVE with your country 😭😭❤️
Which city do you live in
As a German it’s funny to hear someone speak so kindly about Deutsche Bahn. It gets a lot of hate for unreliability and poor service.
But since I used some public transport on my current US roundtrip I can see why you loved the Deutsche Bahn. You guys are really unlucky with your trains! 😅
Btw love it that you finally made it to my home-country! ☺️
I am from Siberia and i i used Deutsche Bahn a couple of times and i think it's one of the best train rails! The only bad thing is price:))
Hey Julien, as a German I was going to write the same thing 😅 but glad Allison had a wonderful experience. I‘ve been to the US but actually not relied on public transport, so I had no idea how bad it is 😉
YES I was thinking the same. People from the us always say nice things about DB and I am always like - dont you believe it is always that easy. wait til its 40 C and the AC doesnt work, or if snow falls and the DB decides oooops that was unexpected in winter .... sorry we cant work today.
I think it's just the high standard we are expecting. I live in Canada for a few years now and here in my province there is only one passanger train line you can take, and that only goes across the country (so no local stops) and goes by once or twice a week. So I'd be happy with the DB here :D
100% agree with you!!
I’ve been living in Germany since 2019! I’m so glad that someone is showing it off because Germany is SUCH a beautiful country!!
Come over and see if you like what I’m doing, Julianne. I also think it’s incredibly beautiful here.
Love your videos Christine ♥️
How you can say that Germany is beautiful country ? You don't know nothing unfortunately.
❤

I got to live in Germany from age 19 to 24 and it was an experience I’ll never forget! One of my apartments was in downtown Bamberg and right next to a bakery 🥰 I learned German and fully integrated into the culture. Ich liebe Deutschland 😍
Grüße aus Bamberg 😉
and probably close to a brewery, lol. Bamberg is the hometown of beer in germany.
@@ElGreco291Bambercher😂
Grüße aus Bamberg von mir auch🥰
As a foreigner living in Germany I can totally relate to being really charmed by the German landscape. What a lovely trip!
Oh yes, I love the German Landscape for sure. :).
@fermatichebellosei1595You must be a real hoot at a party. What a way to talk down a really nice video through the creators eyes. Times have changed, and Germany, as all the other countries, have a lot to offer and explore. And there you come in, dumping your mental crap into the comment section. Get a life! Jeez.
@Fermati Chebellosei windmills are important man
Your solo trips are THE BEST. but this one made me actually tear up to watch. So beautiful! Germany is on my wish list!
I saw your trip on your Instagram and have already booked flights to frankfurt (they were literally only €25 from Dublin!). This is my first solo trip! Just turned 20 and want to go right out of my comfort zone. Thank you for inspiring me!
Update I'm back in Germany for the 2nd time since then. Best best thing I've ever done!
Nice! 💕💕💕
The cinematography of this video is so so good! I'm a foreigner living in Germany and I'd have to say that small German towns are one of my favorites. Monschau will always have a special place in my heart. Anyway, I'm glad you had a wonderful time on your first solo trip to Germany.
Thank you!
I’m literally studying how she films so I can plan my travel vlogs better🤩
Guten tag
Hallo aus Simmerath bei Monschau :)
@@allisonanderson hi
That's amazing! I'm from Northern Germany and it looks totally different here. No hills just loads of fields with crop, cows and sheep. Even I'm amazed how different the South is :)
The north is much more farming related and the people the are more reserved, but if you have been accepted there as a northern family member after a few years, you will have the most loyal friends ever.
I‘m lucky enough to travel to the North for work and I love it- Germany just has so many different, but equally stunning, parts.
Norddeutschland ist auch gar nicht wirklich deutschland. Das sagt einem nur keiner 😅. Ich war letztes jahr in hannover und dachte ich bin im dänemark urlaub 😂
My father was in the military and our family had two tours there for 3 years each time. My husband & I lived in Nuremberg for two years. Whenever I get to visit Germany it’s like going home for me. I lived Heidelberg during the Christmas Market time, Germany is just magical during with winter.
What a nice trip! My daughters both graduated from Heidelberg American High School, the former U.S. DoD high school there, and their proms were held at the Heidelberg castle. It's a beautiful city. Public transportation is so wonderful in Europe.
Just got hit by nostalgia. In the spring of 2013, I visited a friend who lives in Mannheim. So I also visited all the same places... Speyer, Schwetzingen, Heidelberg, Neustadt, some small villafes drinking wine... also Frankfurt buyt we also drove to Belgium and visted several places there.
Feels like another life. I really want to go somewhere but would like the pandemic to die down a bit before venturing anywhere with toddlers in tow...
This Video was suggested to me randomly and it’s beautiful to see my hometown Heidelberg be represented so beautifully! Glad you liked it here! :)
Seeing the Heidelberg Castle in your thumbnail made my heart jump! I’m so happy you got to visit my beautiful home 🤗
It’s funny reading a comment from you here, since I’m a subscriber of your channel as well :D
Hey Rebecca! I had to check it’s you because you wrote in English. I‘m in my 3rd semester at Heidelberg now and watched your videos to help, especially as it’s all been online. Except for my latin exam 😂
My great grandfather was a migrant from Düsseldorf Germany 🇩🇪
I’m off to Germany tomorrow! It’ll be my first time as well, so excited. 🤍
First I hope you'll have a great time here in Germany! Enjoy the beautiful nature especially in the south south of Germany, it is the most amazing experience :-) hope you'll have a great time!
@@honeymilkbunny thank you so much! I’m really looking forward to seeing the country
Cool Lauren!! How did you like Germany? I am curious, where did you go to in Germany? I visit Germany often as I love to vlog lol.
@@MagnificentGermanywithDarion I was in Freiburg! :) I loved it
@@lorrwrenxx11 Oh very awesome, I love Freiburg. I was just there a few weeks ago and I will be there very soon as well. I travel to Germany as much as possible. ( I am an American living in the states). I have a youtube channel about my travels in Germany. I do it for fun and I am having a blast vlogging my adventures :). Do you plan to revisit Germany again? Great to hear from you :).
As a German it's funny to hear over and over again that the Grimm's fairy tails are set in the Blackforest. That is just not true, most of them were fairy tails from all over the German countries with local variations. The Grimm's just summarised them and wrote them down, so these Stories can be based almost everywhere in or around Germany. But exept this: great video
Wow, Germany is so beautiful! I love this video, it really does feel magical.
I also took a solo trip to Germany. What an incredible place! And so easy to navigate.
This trip looks amazing! Tbh, Germany was never on my list before, but now it’s near the top! Also, your solo travels really inspire me to try travelling alone one day ☺️
It’s absolutely gorgeous here and full of interesting places. And very safe - solo travelling is easy and rewarding!
And you can travel to Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Poland... Every country has beauty places and Germany is the middle of this beautiful Europe. There are no border controls (only Switzerland...) , most countries have the Euro...
I loved watching the tree sway! This was an emotional video for me. After travel restriction life, seeing your travel videos again means so much. 💙
Absolutely breathtaking as always. One of my favorites. So serene, peaceful and quiet! You're the best!
So nice to see another travel video! We’ve been so missing travel. Although I have been doing a lot of travel in my own state here in Australia but I’m really looking forward to being able to travel overseas again soon. Thanks for the great video.
I lived in Heidelberg for two years and this made me so nostalgic. What a beautiful video!
awww, I enjoyed this video a lot! I am from Canada and have visited Germany twice now! This reminded me why I love it there. So beautiful, and the people are friendly. The trains are awesome, and we should have that here too! But I think because our countries are so vast, it's probably not thought of. lol I need to travel again soon.
Your videography, editing, and storytelling have come a long way! I’ve been subbed since your makeup/beauty days (thanks on getting me hooked on those revlon lip butters 😂) and watching your channel grow and change has been such a treat!
Wow, you really showed these towns and bits of countryside off in their beauty. I'm wanting to book a trip now! But by far my favourite was hearing your story about the spa... love it! ❤️🤣
I started watching you like 10 years ago, started solo travelling one year ago and I am from Germany. Totally interesting to see your development, how you have grown up and how you are enjoying my home country. Your videos are one of the reasons I started travelling alone. I was always scared about this as a young woman. Well solo travelling is much more relaxed and to be scared wasn't needed at all.
Your solo trip videos are the best! Germany looks phenomenal
This is so neat and so beautiful! You've done a beautiful job shooting and you made me want to visit a place I had not been concerned with visiting before. I don't understand how this doesn't have more views, this is a beautiful video!
So happy when people visit my home country and love it :) Also makes me discover new places, there is just so much to see here!
I agree, I barely scratched the surface! Next time I need to stay a month.
Lived in Heidelberg for a few years back in the mid-late 2000's and it's still one of my absolute favorite places. Glad you enjoyed it :)
10:00 Things no german has ever said before😂.
But honestly, this video contains of such beautiful shots its clear to see you put a lot of work into this. Thank you for presenting our country so beatifully
You capture such incredible timeless shots. Love how you document your trips. As always, looking forward to the next one !
Alison I have been WAITING for one of your travel videos again, and you’ve done it again. Beautiful shots, colour grading and educational content. Love love love it. I hope you had a fabulous time and thank you for filming. 🥳
Yes, totally agree about the Bahn. I wish we had something like it here!!! I traveled all around Germany and other countries on the bahn.
Germany is so incredible, isn't it?! Glad you had such a good time. I studied abroad in the northern part of Germany, and unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to see the southern part of the country. I'll have to visit these places next time I travel there!!
Thanks for your solo travelling videos! You definitely inspired me to do my first solo trip last month to Vancouver! I loved it so much and am looking forward to my next solo trip.....maybe to Germany! :D
What a wonderful, beautiful trip. Definitely a bucket list destination for me. Thank you for sharing this!
You seriously have some of the most beautiful pictures of Germany! Keep up the good work, Alison.
Great Video. As someone living in Karlsruhe (located between Heidelberg and Baden-Baden) those destinations are kind of default one day trips so it's easy to forget how special those places actually are.
Wonderful video and tour of Germany, enjoyed this one immensely . Also, totally agree with you about the train transportation.
I live 10 Miles away from Bad Wildbad and I am glad that you love the Black Forest as much as I do.
Wonderfull Video
The places you visited look so beautiful and not too touristy!! Beautiful 🤩
As someone who is living in Germany, it is very refreshing to see how beautiful seems to be for people who don’t live here💎
There is no "Trespassing" in Germany as long as it is not obvious. All paths and ways are free to walk, through forrests, fields and meadows - as long as there's no fence, you are allowed to go. Of course you are expected to respect nature and installations.
yes, no danger of being shot, no matter whether that was a public or a private path
Love this! What a beautiful country! Would love to visit Germany one day and I will definitely rewatch your video! Love from Canada 🥰
Well... Come before November and not before the mid of May. The chance to get bad weather, is too big. Exept you wanna see the christmas markets. But of course, you are wellcome, every time...
Beautiful forests and pleasing sunshine with colorful roofs. Love this so much!
yes, i have to agree :)
I have been waiting for this video since you started posting on Instagram about it and the video did not disappoint! Adding this to my places to visit!
So happy that you made this video! I love your videos and I just moved to Germany and need some ideas of where to visit first. ❤️
Thanks for watching!
I live in a country "the next door", in the Czech Republic, and I feel pretty ashamed that I saw so little of such a beautiful country which Germany really is. I was only at the castle Oybin, near some water-diver's locations and in Dresden. I must say that you have AMAZING shooting skills and you presented everything so well it makes me to go there for a visit (once everything is a little bit more settled with Covid since e.g. neighbouring Austria is closing its borders.
You have really good pronunciation too - congrats! I will just add that a word "stadt" which is German word for "city" is pronounced as /ʃtat/ - it has English "sh" at the beginning :)
Love your solo travel videos and can't wait for another one! :)
come to western germany
I couldn't stop watching the whole video, you're gold to put these video's thank you very much for sharing this!!
Love the music you chose in this video !! So beautiful
My home country!! I'm so excited for this 🇩🇪 Can't wait to go home again soon! Thanks for the ride, Allison 🙌
Yeah German is the best we spent five years there and I’ve seen most of the things that you saw that day as well I love Heidelberg castle and lots of beautiful things to see in that country they are drivers are amazing they pay hundreds and hundreds and thousands of dollars for those licenses and they drive like prose makes you throw up when you get on the freeway here in town no one knows how to drive well!
And you really well with the German names! I‘ve sung in the beautiful theatre in Bad Wildbad- it’s soooo pretty there!
Your cinematography is so beautiful!!! Thank you for this video
Inspiring to immerse yourself in destinations on your own. The most relaxing trips are usually the ones I took by myself. You get to define how the day goes.
You just made me want to go back home! I am from and grew up in Heidelberg for 16 years!
Really cool to see your own Country from such a different perspective. And even talking positively about the Detusche Bahn xD
I've never seen anyone have better travel Vlogs than you oh my God another good one
Wow, just watched your video on "My Solo Trip to Germany" and I'm seriously impressed! It's amazing how you managed to explore the country on your own and still have such a blast. Your adventures and recommendations have definitely fueled my wanderlust. Keep up the awesome work, and I can't wait to see where you travel next! 🌍✈
Happy you enjoyed your trip to Germany and even my hometown.
So amazingly beautiful! This is an area I would have never thought to go explore, but now I'm dying to go! Thank you for sharing - I would love to see the itinerary they prepared for you!
Hello, Germany is awesome for sure. Just letting you know that I help people make itineraries for Germany as a hobby and I do it for fun. The best part is I do it for free :).
Feeling grateful for such kind of world class contents which We're enjoying with free of cost! Thanks @Allison
This is such a cool video and awesome vibe!! 🤩☀️
Thank you!
The video was awesome. You are making the best travel vlogs here on youtube!
You really did a good job with the pronounciation of german town names :)
I've been to Heidelberg once and I really wanna go there again. The video reminded me how beautiful my home country really is!
Beautiful video! Thanks so much for sharing your solo adventure! ❤️
Amazing video! You did an awesome works thanks so much for sharing your beautiful memories!
I LOVE Germany. Especially the south. Austria and Switzerland are also amazing
I lived in Heidelberg for 4 years and there were just memories flooding in from the few shots you showed, awesome town haha
This looked so fun! I love seeing your travel vlogs!
your videos are like therapy fr.. whenever i see your videos its feels amazing. keep uploading more and more videos.
Allison I was really happy that you could visit Germany this year but I have to say, with what you saw its like you buy a really great book but only read the first two pages! Germany has so much more to offer, even if your trip and the moments you captured were really beautiful, but if you ever come back to Germany, please don't miss out the South! The national parks, small towns but also cities like Munich, are a MUST :-) Would love to see your impressions from Berchtesgaden, Eibsee and Zugspitze, once you'll come back. And also, don't miss out the north, the Kreidefelsen of Rügen or other small islands are also really beautiful!
The islands are so unique. I get to work on them- even the differences between Nord and Ostfriesische islands is captivating.
I dont want to say you are wrong but she was in the black forrest. That is in the south. And there is so much more to germany than bavaria...
@@justanothername5199 Though she was mostly in Baden lol
@@E85stattElektro okay, is that not in the south?!
@@justanothername5199 Its in the southwest. You talked about Bavaria, which is in the southeast.
And she was also in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, which is in the Pfalz. Historically this part has belonged to Bavaria from 1816 till WW2, but isn’t in todays Bavaria. So she was at no point in the borders of todays Bavaria…
PS: The state of Rheinland-Pfalz also doesn’t qualify as southern german, but as west german. So she wasn’t only in the south, but also in the west😉
Definitely putting Germany on my bucket lists. What a beautiful country 😊
As Americans living in Germany, it was wonderful to see your impressions of this country, especially the areas where you visited as we haven't been there yet because we live in the north. It looked absolutely lovely and hopefully, we'll be able to visit soon! We're glad we found your channel!
Check out the Teuteburger Wald with the Hermanns Denkmal if you havent done so already. Might be a shorter drive and it is also very beautiful especially during the summer. 😄
@@imGeistevereint thank you for the suggestion!
What should I say... Wellcome to the great south! Greeds from Rhein/ Main region...
They've just built one of these spiral tree top lookouts on Vancouver island and as a wheelchair user I cant wait to go check it out! The slope is gradual enough that even wheelchairs can safely and easily go up it too!
STUNNING 😍 I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS WHEN YOU DO THESE TRIPS
Oh my gosh, you was travelling through south-west Germany and also visited my hometown Neustadt :-) So funny and a little bit proud to see that. I really appreciate to see these video. Thank you for your visit!
Hi, Ally, yesterday, not knowingly, I found a travel video of yours, and now I'm a big fan of your channel. It's a great pleasure to know things about places in various countries, and I hope to visit these beautiful areas like yours as a solo traveler. Loads of love from Sri Lanka❤❤
We've all missed the Allison Anderson travel videos, welcome back🙌
The best place I visited this year was Moldova 🇲🇩 I am part Moldovan , but this vid inspired me to visit Germane as well ! Thank you so much 😊 I love your videos!
Oh my God!! Such breathtakingly beautiful views!! I love nature and that's how I got your videos. I searched for nature vlogs. ❤️❤️
You know how to vacation ! Thanks for sharing, it’s a beautiful place🥳🥳
Great video! Now I want to go to Germany!!
I grew up in the Black Forest, just 45 minutes away from Baden-Baden 😁❤ so happy a travel vlogger shows the beauty of my homeland. ❤️ It's rare. You have done a great job. 👍🏻
Honestly I loved your holiday trip vlogs yessss girl I'm excited and I always enjoyed your channel
Thank you!!
Currently in my hotel in Heidelberg on my first solo trip after watching this video. Thank you so much, this is the best thing I've ever done.
I absolutely love your solo trip videos. It encourages me to one day do the same!!!
Can't believe this. I was literally watching your older vlogs because I had not seen one of these from you for a while.
I was in Bad Wildbad this year. We did a week of hiking in the Black Forest this year. It’s so beautiful. Greetings from Germany 😊.
Spent three years in Heidelberg and loved it. Thanks for a great video.
The Baumwipfelpfad is one of my favourite places in the Blackforest 😍 Obviously you liked it, too. I life about an hour's drive away. Hope you enjoyed your Trip 😁
I am a solo traveller from Bangkok ..Yeah, I once spent 17 days in Germany...loving watching your VDO.
Great video! So many beautiful places! All the travels go in circles. I rode around Asia, spelling out a parabola on one of the hemispheres of our planet. In short, a circumnavigation is just a curious person's way back home. And I learned one thing...never save for something you can't replicate.
Thank you for this wonderful video!!!
I wanted to visit Germany in December but flights are too expensive. Your trip looks amazing!
I visited Munich in the summer of 2018. Definitely one of my favorite cities!
Excellent trip. I enjoyed your trip to Germany. I travel to Germany so many times when I worked for TWA.
