Thanks for the interesting recommendations, some new to me. I love the sound of your favourite book. I am obsessed with poetry (especially contemporary), but I also read a lot of fantasy, magical realism & thrillers. I must read Toni Morrison, been meaning to now for ages - my next mission. I'll never forget the first time I read Ralph Ellison's 'Invisible Man' - very impactful. I am an old fella who's been lucky enough to make poetry, review writing & literary essays his career. Yes, I know, I am very fortunate. Really looking forward to following your adventure with books. Thanks for the bookish inspiration. (Ah, Mary Oliver - yes, love her poetry to bits!) PS: yes, I'm a slow reader too - an absolute indulgence!
I don't think I've ever heard anyone declare specifically that they prefer paperbacks (or hardcovers, for that matter), interesting 👍 You are always reminding me to read more Elena Ferrante than the one book I have read (and liked), thank you. I can have classical music on while reading, it does not distract me and it shuts out the noise of Brooklyn outside 😸😆

yes to paperbacks, way more comfortable lol. I started borrowing books more last year, however, with poetry collections I prefer to buy only because I write a lot of notes and underline things. Also, where is this jacket from? The color looks great on you! ❤
yes paperback crew! i love using libby for audiobooks/ebooks but i write in my physical books so much! thank you!! i got this shirt from target believe it or not lol
