I bought some of this Rain x just before I saw this video. After seeing it, I thought about taking it back to Wal-Mart for something else. But, I looked at the price again and said, what the heck it's cheap, I might as well use it up. I'm glad I kept it. I have a gas powered pressure washer with a little more power than what he appears to be using in the video, and a reasonably cheap foam cannon I got from Amazon. I put about 6 to 8 oz. of wash in the cannon (undiluted) and pulled the crank. I got a ton of foam that stuck to the car and held on long enough for me to get around the car with the micro fiber glove. And the car looked pretty good after the rinse. With my set-up this stuff worked pretty well. Much better than it did in this video. If I had to guess, it was the higher pressure and not diluting it in the gun.
I commented on this car soap about a month ago as i bought it just for washing my golf cart as it was cheap for a large amount of product. Now I'm realizing it makes a great prewash in the foam canon. Slightly higher Ph, decent cleaning surfactants and low lubricity. Prewash foam, rinse & then use a higher quality soap for your main wash.
A product like this gets five-star ratings because 95% of people don't know what they're doing when washing their vehicles. The other 5% don't buy this soap in the first place. Thanks for the review.
yeah i was shocked to see the numbers sold per month so i had to buy it for fun, was expecting better results but was fun to try and lay my curiosity to rest on this one
I'd guess a lot of that first one, especially. Folks don't know what a good one is *supposed* to feel like, so they get this stuff, it washes a bit nicer than the Dawn or whatever they've used before, so they give it a good review. That's a problem with specialist products generally.
This video was fun to watch. I love these real world reviews because I always have people arguing with me why I recommend the products that I do now I can send them links to these videos explaining why I use the products that I do. Thanks and keep up the great work!
95% of people aren’t professional detailers. This product is designed and made for that 95%. To expect more from something that was designed for less is silly, of course it’s not going to meet elevated expectations.
Exactly! Most people aren’t detailers or people who are obsessed with “the best” car wash supplies. They just want to decently wash their car for cheap. That’s me! I live on a dirt road and don’t expect my car to look perfect.
Back in the 90s my dad knew a chemist out of the Bay Area in Hayward California actually sort of near P@S facility it was a huge bucket of car soap it was a powder but it had so much lubricity in it I’ve never felt soap like that since once you add water to it it was super lubricity and I wish I could find that chemist so he could make some more it was called like sure wash or wonder wash I’m gonna ask my Pops if he remembers !
I use that soap it works awesome. Run it straight into the canister no water needed to add it foams up so good. Of course you're not going to foam up like crazy when you dilute it with so much water and then you spray the water out the holes and it deletes it some more. Put the soap in the bottle no water and tell me what you think
I've used this. Your Cannon and/or orifice blows. There are other videos that show this foaming capabilities are high quality. For the peice, you can't find a better soap as far as foaming goes.
I bought this a while back before i started using higher quality product but i use this just for volume filler so i can stretch out the good quality snow foam mixes
Funny, I just bought this last week for washing my golf cart. Now I know I can also use it as a strip wash on my cars, lol. Heck it might make a good wheel cleaner 😂. Wonder what the ph level is? The humor in this vid was great! Appreciate the review! 🍻
Hi Its a pleasure to watch your channel Can you post a video about how you do inside cleaning what ingredients you use Cleaning and maintaining leather seats Dashboard and other parts inside
Thank you for the video. Never washed my car before and bought this. Which car wash would you recommend? I am not concerned about protecting the paint (My car barely has any left), but I do want something that performs well against very fine sand which my windshield is covered in and affecting my visibility. I would just let the rain wash it off but its not doing it
I use my old MTF with my wheel cleaner only and still HATE the tiny full hole up top the Griots cannon is my favorite i need to trash the MTM and switch to the Griots for wheels too now
funny thing is their not even paying RUclipsrs to push this crap yet they are still able to sell thousands of bottles per month all based on price. you get what you pay for.
ha ha yeah im not paying $5 per wash to use that stuff when our new V2 Snow Storm works better is is less than 1/2 price. Watch my Griots Soap video from two weeks ago i broke down all the costs per wash of all the popular soaps
I think it's your pressure on your pressure washer because mine comes out super foamy out of mine 😳....I usually use chemical guys but I have used this soap here and there ...
If you or anyone else sold their soap for $4 you would get a lot of orders too. People buy cheap stuff. I'm sure most people aren't using a foam cannon with it either. These are the people who still have a old can of rain dance in their car washing supplies.
Trick is foam does absolutely nothing for cleaning power or lubrication really so I don't care about that it's just a fun pretty thing.. but if it's got poor cleaning and lubrication then it's pointless.
Mention of Rain-X brings to mind wiper blades. Any recommendations? My son-in-law, a former BMW dealer, in another country, is loving you ongoing BMW updates. Thanks for the reviews and updates.
I like it because its biodegradable.i wash my cars once every 3 to 4 months and you ceramix car waxes.i am paid to drive so my self esteem is not equal to how shiny my vehicle is.😂😂😂

You are 1 more of the thousands of people 😁😁😁👍🏼👍🏼

It’s shit no matter how cheap it is
Exactly! Most people aren’t detailers or people who are obsessed with “the best” car wash supplies. They just want to decently wash their car for cheap. That’s me! I live on a dirt road and don’t expect my car to look perfect.
FOR THE PRICE this is a good soap... This is the soap I keep around for the kids to wash their cars or quads...
Looking forward to c videos in ur new Stelvio.
Maybe that soap is good for stripping old waxes and sealants.
I use that soap it works awesome. Run it straight into the canister no water needed to add it foams up so good. i just used this soap and mine worked fine my car is looking really good.
I think it's a great soap if you wanna strip wax occasionally. I like it. Definitely not something I would use every month.
Exactly. Prep the paint before a wax or scellant.
The “ wow it foams up absolutely horrible” is so funny 🤣
yeah was pretty comical i was like WTF happened
Proceeds to dump more soap in like a last hurrah 😂
It's going to funny you know cuz I bought this stuff all the time and it does excellent job for me.
Same here.
Hi
Its a pleasure to watch your channel
Can you post a video about how you do inside cleaning what ingredients you use
Cleaning and maintaining leather seats

As the old saying goes - "Good work's not cheap....cheap work's not good."
Dude, the Music ?? it's like I'm about to watch a Nuke's Top 5 paranormal video LOLOL)))
Thanks for the review. I’ll use mine to clean my deck.
Thanks for killing my curiosity lol
I knew it’d be bad but I was curious so thank you 😂🙏🏼
Great for washing your lawn equipment
ha ha ha good idea
It's sold everywhere. They have shelves of this stuff at Home Depot
This was funny to watch, especially when you filled up the cannon with just purely soap. Takes so much just to even get it to foam up
yeah i had to see what all the hype was that they sell thousands of these per month on Amazon, i guess its the price that excited most
Hands down who makes best foam soap money can buy??
I need that brush! 1:17🔥
of course it removed the sealant, you used way more than recommended amount !
instead of doing "for fun", try read the instruction.
Like you said, it foams up absolutely horrible lol
So on 100% it can be used in a stripping process? 😅😅😅
amazing how they put out a product like this under their name!!!!
this stuff seems to be big box store and Amazon only i guess it fills that market need for price sensitive soaps but it really is not good.
@@autofanaticcars you were correct in the amount of positive comments!!!! unreal
Problem is that consumers have now been "programmed" to purchase products with the cheapest price.
Think this was meant for wash buckets and not foam gun
Ha they should have called it a non foaming soap. How do you like the Griots foam cannon vs MTM?
I use my old MTF with my wheel cleaner only and still HATE the tiny full hole up top the Griots cannon is my favorite i need to trash the MTM and switch to the Griots for wheels too now
@@autofanaticcars Thanks Phil. I'm gonna give Griots a try. Personally I like my MTM but not over thrilled with it
Conclusion : the sheep will buy anything
funny thing is their not even paying RUclipsrs to push this crap yet they are still able to sell thousands of bottles per month all based on price. you get what you pay for.
Have you tried Koch-Chemie Gsf (Gentle Snow Foam)?
Love the channel.
ha ha yeah im not paying $5 per wash to use that stuff when our new V2 Snow Storm works better is is less than 1/2 price. Watch my Griots Soap video from two weeks ago i broke down all the costs per wash of all the popular soaps

Definitely not my pressure washer i have a 230v professional unit with up to 3500psi and 2.6 GPM i use in all my wash videos
I feel like automatic washes use this type of soap. I know exactly what you’re talking about with the feel and finish on the paint.
Yes they use cheap caustic soaps that strip everything
What’s your preferred foam cannon soap?
Our Auto Fanatic 007 Snow Storm V2
@PD-nz5rk come on man!!! What soap did you think he was gonna pick? Definitely his brand…
@MagicMikesDetailing to be fair, his soap is very very good
You have to use a lot as I can see which is nonsense. Very watery too.
PHIL
Trying to get in touch with you about work on my 2017 GS…we spoke last week in Bronxville.

What do you want for 4 bucks

Are you saying it mask the ceramic coat or stripped that coating?
stripped

I use Bosch wiper blades and like them i have had bad results with RainX blades failing and streaking prematurely off Amazon and EBay
What is the next car u replacing the stelvio with maybe bmw x3m 🤔
I bought another 2023 Stelvio Veloce took delivery two days ago love it. il post the delivery video in a few days
@@autofanaticcars 🔥✌️
Good for a strip wash i guess
Try 8oz
They buy it because they recognize the name and know nothing else
Too bad it was no good. Cant trust Amazon reviews.
Lol. Budget friendly strip wash!
I think turtle wax makes better budget friendly shampoos.
I tested most of theirs as well, maybe a notch or two up on this but still nothing that can beat some of the staples on the market these days.
The cheapster factor Palmolive 😂😂😂
this stuff was absolute garbage no idea why so many people buy it
You are not giving it a fair shot. You went in with a negative attitude. You are not giving it a fair review
I like it because its biodegradable.i wash my cars once every 3 to 4 months and you ceramix car waxes.i am paid to drive so my self esteem is not equal to how shiny my vehicle is.😂😂😂
I think it's good CHEAP prewash soap
but it has zero lubrication and self cleaning so its kinda useless, better just use something that performs better for a few bucks more
Yep, that’s 💩 soap! Thx for the video.
Wow 😂
