i remember this in a theater. me and my wasted friends were such jerks at the beginning of it. "Die already! We all know you gonna die!" i'm sure we irritated the hell outta people. but then, when he did die. we were all totally invested. that's how good this movie is. it made me and my drunk obnoxious friends shut up.
I love "Ghost." It's one of my all time favorite films and I can quote it in my sleep. I want to walk down the aisle to the instrumental of "Unchained Melody." I would kill to see it in theaters. ...I'm Henry the Eighth I am, Eighth I am I am...
my favorite part was when he was watching Carl desperately working on the computer trying to find the money. and Patrick Swayze was just laughing at him. "you're never gonna find it. you're in so much trouble now...."
This movie has my favorite main villain death scene from a live action movie. Carl getting dragged into hell is the equivalent of a Disney villain falling to his/her death.
I heard they made those creepy howls by playing the sound of a crying baby backwards and slowing it down. Not sure how true it is but it sounds freaky lol
“It’s Amazing, Molly. The love inside, you take it with you.” I agree with everything you both said! I am so happy that you guys got to see this in theaters and share your love for it! It was a great watch 😊. I have seen this movie so many times on dvd and it still makes me laugh, cry, and get scared. “Ghost” is one of my favorite movies. The blending of genres, the effects, the sound design, the story, direction, and of course the incredible performances make this movie so iconic and a classic for generations to come. The love between Sam and Molly is so beautiful and so real, I would argue it’s the best love story. I think this film is Patrick Swayze’s best as well. He is my favorite actor. I miss him. He was such an inspiring person on and off the screen.
I've always loved this movie, it makes me feel so old that it came out 30 years ago. And a kind of related spooky story: My ex's dad died sometime back in the 90's, and he was watching this movie the day he died.
that guy deserved it. the second i saw him hitting on his dead friend's wife.... i was so pissed!! it's not like years had passed or anything it was like... i'don't know... a month! .. and you're gonna.... NOT COOL!!
As a kid this movie scared me and I loved it. As an adult I rewatched it understanding the plot and script and it is so much better than I remember. Classic hands down!
I watched this so many times when I was a kid that I can recite almost all the lines word for word 25 year later!. I was shocked. I should probably have done my homework instead, lol.
30 years later & this can still hold up above many today. Ghost is a classic & so well rounded. " oh man, a drag, just one drag." Happy death day 2 kind of reminds me of the balance with the blend of horror & sci-fi & comedy & love. Not the same level but blend. I remember that swayze snl ghost sketch. Feel like downvoting just for the turtles 3 diss lol the yoshi ralph relationship still get's me. Still upvoted.
Try watching the ending and not crying not only for what happens in the movie but it makes you think of Patrick Swayze who has now been gone for more than 11 years.😭
I was thinking of this movie this morning. Can’t remember why though. Maybe because I watched Casper for the first time in years recently and them being able to touch or move things without effort made me think of how much effort a ghost in this movie has to take.
In South Korea they did a stage play of this earlier in the year....I missed the production because I thought COVID 19 affected it but I think it went ahead. I'm going to check if its on my Netflix now. What a great Halloween film too..
Awesome shout out to my man Tony Goldwyn. He has an awesome roll in one of the greatest TFTC episodes ever, Abra cadaver. Definitely check it out if you haven't seen.
I love Ghost...though I was afraid of the evil ghost scenes as a kid. xD The effects kinda make me laugh now. xD And it feels like SUCH an 80s movie, despite being 1990....
No it's not. Terminator is an action movie that happens to have good romantic elements in it. Ghost is a romantic movie that happens to have good thriller and comedic elements in it.
Great movie, I a!so saw it twice in theaters in 1990. I was also at the time a HUGE fan of Quantum Leap (still am). I was always struck by how reminiscent of Ghost this scene was: m.ruclips.net/video/WUEdfgv5tIU/видео.html The crazy thing is though, this is the DVD version with the music changes to generic for copyright reasons (UGH!!!!) But I have the original version I recorded on VHS way back when and the song that is playing when Al first goes to see Beth is...Unchained Melody. It does change to Georgia on my Mind when Beth changes the record and that's the song they are dancing to... But still... You may say, "Well Quantum Leap was doing a little homage to Ghost, they did things like that all the time.' True. Only that this episode originally aired in May 1990. Ghost was released July 1990. So I always thought that was a neat and maybe a little eerie coincidence.
This kind of content where you’re both fired up about something you love, and you’re bouncing off each other’s positivity, this is the shit I luvvv

Lol
attending a movie theater in person, "You in danger, Girl!"
Alternate title for this movie: “Unchained Pottery”
Call back to Cinema Snob episode Friday the 13th part VI: Jason Lives:
"Don't worry about Carl. He'll be taken care of."

lol if you watch that scene again and listen carefully, you can hear Swayze nearly crack up at the end of the song.
my favorite part was when he was watching Carl desperately working on the computer trying to find the money. and Patrick Swayze was just laughing at him. "you're never gonna find it. you're in so much trouble now...."
SECOND VERSE. SAME AS THE FIRST. :D lmao I love annoying people with that song. xD
This movie has my favorite main villain death scene from a live action movie. Carl getting dragged into hell is the equivalent of a Disney villain falling to his/her death.
And then the literal thing happened in Princess and the Frog!
The demon sequences freaked me the hell out when I saw this as a kid lol
I heard they made those creepy howls by playing the sound of a crying baby backwards and slowing it down. Not sure how true it is but it sounds freaky lol
omg i forgot about that. that was freaky as hell!
My dad showed me the scene with the shadow people dragging that guy to hell and that legit traumatized me as a little kid
The guy, Mike Jittlov, who animated those didn't really get the credit. That scene is creepy.

best whoppie goldberg performance EVER!
My favorite Patrick Swayze film is To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar.
Brad, you in danger, boy!
The sounds the shadow people make is a baby crying slowed down.
I've always loved this movie, it makes me feel so old that it came out 30 years ago. And a kind of related spooky story: My ex's dad died sometime back in the 90's, and he was watching this movie the day he died.
What if Patrick Swayze's ghost was in the theater with you?
You should do a snob review on the Poltergeist movies the same way you reviewed Elm Street and Friday the 13th
Yeah this movie legit had one of the most satisfying villain deaths in the 90s.
that guy deserved it. the second i saw him hitting on his dead friend's wife.... i was so pissed!! it's not like years had passed or anything it was like... i'don't know... a month! .. and you're gonna.... NOT COOL!!
Glad to know I wasn't the only one who bawled at the end. Every time.
As a kid this movie scared me and I loved it. As an adult I rewatched it understanding the plot and script and it is so much better than I remember. Classic hands down!
Love ghost great scrip, great music and great acting

I can't think of pottery without thinking of this movie
Thanks for giving me my watching material for the night! I was in high school when I last saw Ghost and that was... too long ago hahah
I was thinking of this movie this morning. Can’t remember why though. Maybe because I watched Casper for the first time in years recently and them being able to touch or move things without effort made me think of how much effort a ghost in this movie has to take.
Brad... You and Laura totally went home and reenacted the pottery scene didn't you.
I've never seen Ghost, always thought it was a bog standard Romance film. Might have to give it a watch!
Now I want to go back and watch Ghost again!
In South Korea they did a stage play of this earlier in the year....I missed the production because I thought COVID 19 affected it but I think it went ahead. I'm going to check if its on my Netflix now. What a great Halloween film too..
Hey I’m actually first. This movie is way better than it should be considering how silly some scenes are
First what?
@@ryline666 First to comment.
Also I wish Dances with Wolves could get a screening in theaters for its 30th Anniversary.
So, can we get a new series called "The Snob and The Swayze" of Brad and Laura watching Patrick Swayze movies?
When i found out that the groaning and gutterals of the shadow demons was babies crying slowed down that freaked me out a lot.
Awesome shout out to my man Tony Goldwyn. He has an awesome roll in one of the greatest TFTC episodes ever, Abra cadaver. Definitely check it out if you haven't seen.
Looking forward to Laura's review of TMNT.
Next year is the 35th anniversary of. Hopefully we get something special
Yaay, I get nostalgic when they do a video in the car. Those are somehow... better. I dunno why.
I love Ghost...though I was afraid of the evil ghost scenes as a kid. xD The effects kinda make me laugh now. xD And it feels like SUCH an 80s movie, despite being 1990....
This is a great moving film, but my go-to "move you to tears" movie this time of year is Frankenweenie!
It’s romance, thriller, fantasy, and comedy
But enough about "Jesus, Bro!"
And Horror too. The shadow demons scared the living spirit out of me. No pun intended. 😖
@@gydnyquill6750 does it help that the noises were made by recording babies crying and running the sounds in reverse?
Ghost is one of the best romantic movies ever made. Hands down. But that being said, "MASTER NINJA THEME SONG!"
tony goldwyn plays scared really really well
If I owned a theater, I'd re-release "Dredd". It might even do better business than its initial run.
This movie and it’s musical is underrated.
Fascinating. I also always thought its just a cheesy romance.
But if there really is more to this film, I want to see it.
It's also very tragic, amusing, and suspenseful. The romance is only a subplot, really. And the tears are so earned by the end.
My local cinema is showing Ghost tonight in Australia too
My step mothers favorite movie, seen this sooo many times. Swayze was awesome
The little demons that come out to grab the bad guys freaked the shit outta me as a kid
Just watched it. Solid recommendation here. Thanks
The perfect date movie. 100%.
I love this movie. Pet Lloyd.
This is a romance movie in the same way that the original Terminator was a romance movie.
No it's not.
Terminator is an action movie that happens to have good romantic elements in it.
Ghost is a romantic movie that happens to have good thriller and comedic elements in it.
Way off lol
yeah... it's kinda difficult to be romantic with a dead man.
@@chicostephenson and yet they did it

Good thing the subway ghost wasn't trying to sell Echo Papa 9 units, Patrick Swayze's starship could've been destroyed.

Can you do a "Brad Ruins Rob's Day" on "Roe v Wade"?
0:06: Flying car.
It's great that as it gets dark it's as if they got to space and the parking lot lights give the illusion they docked at the ISS.
Just realized he has my IT cap on (ALL "Brads" don IT)
Holy fuck, Laura is not even there. I wish I had whatever stuff she was on.
Those demons scared me more then almost anything ever😟😟
The movie had horror too. Willie and carl going to hell. Love those scenes. The sounds
Way to go Brad. You just gave your age away. You come off as older.
One crazy summer
Lol them making fun of the movie theater intro
You're like the only other person I know of that likes 'nothing but trouble.'
Tmnt 1990 is awesome 90s movie and Dave chappile did proady of ghost
Insert ghost sex meme here!
You two are a cute couple.
So u guys liked it ?
Good idea
Diddo, Brad
Blokes a proper geek 🤓
Whoopy is an awesome actress. Her politics/The View makes her look stupid and my IQ drop.
I don't know if you two are either brave or completely insane sense colvid it continues to spike. 😷😉
Have this on laserdisc, my roommate might be too gay to appreciate the romance.
