- LYRICS
Knock, knock, knock,
No one’s fucking home
I’m just fartin in my bedroom all alone
Thank God it’s Friday!
You can all eat my shit
I’m not leaving my room
So fuckin get over it!
If you need to reach me
I’ll be in my room
I’ll open the window
To show you the moon
As you scream “just come out, please!”
I’ll stick out my butt
And unload mad feces
No, no one’s fucking home
I’m just fartin in my bedroom all alone
Thank God it’s Friday!
You can all eat my shit
I’m not leaving my room
So fuckin get over it!
Oh! One night when the moon was full,
You came up to my room to see what you could do.
I had my butt hanging out to drop mad heat,
But I fuckin’ fell, and broke my neck on the street.
And then you saved my life
I looked into your eyes and promised you that I would
never ever never ever never ever never ever never ever
never ever never ever never ever never ever...leave you...
Yeah right!
Get fucked!
No,no one’s fucking home
I’m just fartin in my bedroom all alone
Thank God it’s Friday!
You can all eat my shit
I’m not leaving my room
So fuckin get over it!
Ha! Get fucked!
Ha! Get fucked!
With the all of a sudden influx of these types of songs, Obscurest Vinyl returns to remind us why they reign supreme
Thank you!
I played these at my family BBQ, loud as fuck and everyone was rolling laughing. 🤣
Need more Jenny stardust. Reyna is super but Jenny stole my heart.
For real, haven't found another channel that has songs even close to as catchy as Obscurest Vinyl, shit's always a banger.
So like . . . is there a particular program people use to make these?
Rocked out to this song all summer long back in 86'. Those were the days, the Summer of Shit.
Matched only by the ‘79 Swamp Butt album by the Splatter Farts
@@wyldebill4178 didn't they tour in 93?
Dude that's funny.

If you watch the Behind The Music episode featuring Reyna, you get to see her writing process. She even had a diamond-encrusted microphone right next to the toilet so she would never miss a song idea. Truly inspiring.
I seen the episode. Brought a tear to my eye.
I never made it to the end. It hits too close to home seeing her creative struggles in the bathroom. Such an amazing artist!
People really don’t understand the dedication she had to her music
When the spirit moves you’ve got to let it out, wherever you are.
I like when she was talking about how much she loves Mexican food and those damn enchiladas
You could probably win Eurovision with this.
this is better than most winners ngl
What a beauty Reyna was. Her later crack addiction was a tragedy. Thank God we still have her records .
It was a better world when we were addicted to HER crack
😂😂😂😂💨💨💨😜😜
But not the crack that first comes to mind.
She got hooked during the grueling Secrets That Your Asshole keeps sessions.
That's just rumors, she was addicted to beans and Mexican food
@@sour_lime_5 😂😂 mee too!
She's always been the one to have the runs to the top #2 spots on the charts.
*sharts
Babe wake up, the new Reyna just dropped
Lol!
Yeah she dropped alright. Onto the street
She always drops the heat.
It sure did drop. Splattered too.
This chick also wrote" Walk like you just ripped one" for the Bangles. It was a big underground hit.
The Bangles greatest Canadian #1 hit was Walk with an erection.
"Eternal Fart" will always be my favorite ❤💨
Wasn't it "Manic fart-day" ?😅
Didn't she also inspire "panic at the disco" because of her song " I'm panicking at the disco because I just mud-smudged my dress"
You're all posers if you don't know her indie hit "Black inside the Moon."
I remember winning backstage passes to Reyna's concert back in 88. I was the 100th caller on 97.7 Radio. I was so stoked! When I met her backstage she actually farted for me and let me smell it. I miss the 80's.
I upgraded to the backdoor pass

We're gonna fart around the clock tonight
And I have the shits lol
I’ve got the farts big time, yet I don’t have the shits 😂
Blowing the dust off of this one. I can still smell the vintage from it.
It's not just the vintage that you can smell
@@DioTheGreatOne I heard there was a limited edition run of scratch 'n' sniff vinyl record covers in the summer of '88. They sold out a few minutes after release... In an era before the internet! The only reason they never continued the run of scratch 'n' sniffs was because the strain on Reyna was too much... Not even a Taco Bell-only diet could help her keep up with the immense demand!
pat benatar, madonna, deborah harry, reyna, belinda carlisle, and alannah myles
they were the legend of the 80's that's for true
Largely considered Reyna's return to form after a 2-year block of no hits following The Secrets your Asshole Keeps. Musical pundits at the time praised it's complexity and perfect blend of old and new combining and putting Reyna back in the top 10 for the first time in 2 years.
Written by Reyna and her pianist Richard "Dick" Butts, the song is a slightly toned down account of what happened when Reyna ate some bad tacos on a spiritual retreat in Mexico. In order to get her backing band, the Butt Pirates, to identify with the song, she spiked their food and water with massive quantities of laxatives. This explains the rushed feeling of the music. All of the Butt Pirates were rushed to the local hospital after recording this take.
Musically, this song was an attempt to Reyna-fy the synth wave of the mid-1980s. Reyna later said "It was a gas to record, and although none of my Butt Pirates agree with that, they were just blowing hot and stinky air."
That’s the funniest comment of the century.
🫡🇦🇺
Richard "dick" Butts contributions to American music can't be overstated
Yes, Mr. Butts was something of an underappreciated genius that helped Reyna's (g)astronomical rise and resurgence on the Pop charts
@@terryrex2888 and that's without considering his rich catalog of uncredited music and ghost writing for artists ranging from prince to Katie Perry Dicks presence is still deeply felt well into the modern age
There need to be a Reyna lore write up somewhere
I send this to my wife on Friday nights while I’m watering the lawn and smoking a cigar. Really makes our night. Cheers.
Smoking a cigar while doing outdoor chores makes them so much better, plus it helps keep the bugs away
@@RUSTYCHEVYTRUCK Dude! To the contrary, a great cigar invites so many cool creatures. I get these small, bee-like bugs that act like the smoke is cat nip. Sometimes moths will actually land on my cigar! It’s a great connection to nature, albeit f those mosquitos…
I love Reyna. So edgy. So real. I miss the 80s
Much better than the Reyna "wannabes", like Britney Spears.
@@Pfargtlboy77 definitely
I remember watching an interview with Weird Al Yankovic back in 2013 taking about how Reyna didn't give him permission to do a parody of Secrets your a**hole keeps. He did do it in concert once and it was called Secrets your Casserole Keeps!
It was a great parody and wish he could of recorded it. But Reyna told him her song was much too serious a topic for her to allow him to release his version.
Should've put that in the Roku movie!
Not sure if the accordion sound would have made it better or worse. We can only imagine since he never gt the chance to parody and cover it.
Honestly, this is the ONLY gpod channel like this. These have a very human feel to each project with layers of comedy and nostalgia. I literally have hated everything else and LOVED these. Keep printing wax! 🎉🕺🏻💃🏻
Wow Thank you!!
I'm in total agreement. Every other channel pales in comparison. I mean, when your channel gets to headline the greatest of Motown with The Sticky Sweethearts to the synth brilliance of 80s icon Reyna, you know you have made the big leagues.
Congratulations Obscurist Vinyl! Now, are there any underground thrash metal bands that time forgot?
This my favorite one so far(t)!!!
I have evangelical friends from out of town staying overnight, and the upload is perfect timing, thanks so much
Doin' the lord's work
I used to love this song when I was a kid. Ahhhh the summer '86 was a magical time. Brings back memories.
Summer of ‘86 was a madhouse when this song came out, massive increase in fertilizer that year too for some reason.
Reyna (Born Anita Sheet) is one of the most popular female R&B singers and actresses of the 1980s. At just the the age of 8, her first role was in a "Cheddar Goblin" commercial, but just after that, she already had a huge fanbase. (Most of whom were men in their 50s-60s.). In 1983, she would release her debut album "Faster Then The Speed Of Shit". The album had the big hit "Scrotal Eclipse Of The Heart" with a posthumous appearance of Fawn Dillmiballs. The song would be a big hit on US airwaves, but not worldwide. The very next year, on 1984 she released yet her next studio album "Shits Of Passion" with songs like "Hit Me With Your Best Shit". But the opening track, "Fartin' In My Bedroom All Alone" would become a very very very huge hit, all around the world, hitting number 1 on different charts in different countries. On 1986, she would record a song called "Fuckin' Dustin Off This Old Butthole" which was supposed to be put on the Top Gun soundtrack, but due to Tipper Gore and the Parents Music Resource Center, it would be scrapped. "Dustin'" though, would make an inclusion on her next album released in 1987, called "Shitting Is A Place In My Anus", which was supported by the lead single "The Secrets Your Asshole Keeps", although due to budgeting issues, the album and song were only released in Zimbabwe. "The Secrets Your Asshole Keeps" only charted #92 on the Zimbabwe Chart, and was beaten in #1 by "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" by Belinda Carlisle. By the 1990s, Reyna would fall into obscurity due to girl groups like TLC and female singers like Mariah Carey getting more popular. In 1999, Reyna would be found dead with 5 other men in her Beverly Hills Mansion due to a drug-infused orgy.
So many women have dawned the moniker of Reyna. She was never one single woman. She was a marketing ploy conceived by the executives at Obscurest Vinyl Records to appeal to ALL women.. it worked!!
Reyna is actually barbie in OV universe
Reyna is a state of mind.
@@cpoomail that was the original intention however OV Records executives could never predict that “Reyna” would become the Queen of Anal Pop

Woke up with this song in my head and just listened at least a dozen times in a row. Certified banger
Reyna attempted a comeback in 2019 with the song, "Shartin' In My Bedroom All Alone." Sadly, America was not on board.
Right? I was so sure "Rippin' Ass with my Homies" from the same album would be explosive but it just came out in short, controlled bursts that didn't have much impact.
Point of Order:
From Billboard magazine, August 2019 and the article titled "Shame":
After "Shartin' In My Bedroom All Alone" has been making the rounds on college radio these past months, it must be stated that Reyna's failure to break back into mainstream FM has been no failure on her part. It's our fault. We. Us. America.
Her recent album "Airtight Vinyl Pants" is an absolute Michelangelo.
America just isn't ready. True genius is rarely recognised in one's lifetime. We have failed one of the jukebox's most faithful muses.
We here at Billboard are sorry, Reyna."
@@kubrickenigma7977Today’s music industry is destroying talent rather than celebrating it. It was obvious how much blood, sweat and farts Reyna had put in that album just for it to be sidelined by music that adds nothing new. What’s the next low point in this industry? AI generated music? I shiver at the thought!
@@machenka you are so, so very right!
@kubrickenigma7977 I came across this article today from 2019. It appeared in Vogue magazine and was written by the well known feminist Linda Brownstar.
"Shartin In My Bedroom All Alone would have been a huge hit if performed by Meatloaf or Billy Joel. I can only imagine the success this song would have experienced if performed by Elton John. The fact that America has yet to accept the basic biological truth that men AND women shart from time to time is proof that sexism is alive and well in America."
I have to admit, this article has caused me to recognize some of my backwards, misogynistic attitudes.
Catchy as hell.
I can't wait until there's an LP worth of Reyna songs. 'Best of Vol. 3'.
I'd think it would be volume #2

Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney, in separate interviews, both said this was the best written pop album of all time.
You serious, Clark?
Really hoping for a new remastered 40th anniversary edition with bonus tracks!!!
Anyone remember when, in 1988, Reyna was stripped of the award for winning the "Downwind, Downhill" race at Squaw Valley Ski Resort. When judges realized Reyna utilized her profound ability to propell herself with expulsions from her backside, it was decided she had an unfair advantage over other skiers. She graciously returned the trophy, and while the world press filmed, she masterfully utilized her propulsions to take her from the bottom of the mountain to the top and brilliantly skied down K2 with a smile on her face and the wind out her back! We love you lady. ❤
Who can forget the '86 Feces World Tour...Phenomenal! With Spinal Tap opening, OMG - She absolutely revolutionized Rock! Everybody at my highschool had that cassette in their Walkman!
Reyna stuck her ass out the window and dropped this new heat on all of us.
Remember when this came out in 84' and would fart along when this would play on MTV... good times
Man this hits close to home. 😫
God Bless you man. You are doing the Lords work. This is coming from an Atheist. 😇

This song really got me through some rough times back in 87. Awesome to see its getting some attention!
Same here, helped along with a bit of crack tho. Reyna and crack is so 80’s!
Oh man I didn’t think I’d hear it again. I remember working at the Sears department store, they had a celebration party back in 88’ for reaching a new milestone and this silly song gave me a reason to talk to my what would end up being my first girlfriend and ask her to dance. We didn’t work out but remained good friends.
When I was 4 years old, this was my mom's favorite song. Miss you mom!
Hey Obscurest, I appreciate you making these. They are really good and funny!
Today's youth will never know the pure delight of letting a fart in their bedroom. Good thing that we have classics like this to remind us of how good we had it.

Dang this early to another masterpiece, how awesome.
Gives me same vibes as the song about rippin' @$$ on a new couch. Lol.

Man this really brings me back
Finally!!! Been dying for this song since i heard the shart
Uh i mean the short.
I hope one day we get a real vinyl record of these songs.
What you mean? It may be a rare find but there’s Reyna LP’s to be found if anybody would be so insane to be willing to sell one of these masterpieces. I only got a couple of her songs on mixtapes with speaks from the DJ’s interrupting the music so it’s surreal to finally see them uploaded on their full SD glory here on the tubes!
Thank god comments are enabled. It might’ve helped when I first found this channel and was crazy confused 😂

My sister died of congenital rectal halitosis in 1988, she was the honorary president of Reyna's fan club, this song brings back a lot of memories, God Bless you Reyna, the drugs took you too soon.
its devastating that her families' lawsuit against Immodium failed 😢. After she got hooked on that stuff we never saw her again until the news broke the story of her passing.
I am almost mad at how much I love these songs. I'm unironically listening to you on spotify in the car now.
Reyna is the best! Back at a show in '88 she snuck out with a bunch of fans a set the homeless on fire with flamethrower farts!

Found this in my sister’s record collection. Apparently, one of her stage management professors worked with Reyna from ‘84 to ‘91 directing lighting and pyrotechnics on her American tours.
This song says everything I’m feeling.
Thanks for this! It is the perfect record to have IBS to!
Somedays, I am simply amazed and what is being generated here. That "never ever" part was pure genius. Then those two Get fucked! at the end. The rhythm was perfect.
5 mins late. You never miss!
Wow, the rare "Mad Magazine centerfold" alternate vinyl cover. Worth a fortune. What a find!
I'm staying with it. Obscurest Vinyl is a fucking new genre. Just bought the 88.6 WFRT t-shirt from your shop and we definitely need your official logo as a shirt and of course a Kirkpatrick t-shirt. Everything you put out is instant classic and I bet you are shaping the youth of many young people, which I mean quite seriously. Every song is an earworm. Would be cool to see some Mayor Breslin and Rodney Munch songs soon or... someone entirely new obscure? 🤔
