Grabbed a Bomberger's last year and really liked it. This year, I'm probably passing up both at these prices. Too many other things out there to try. Cheers Brandon!
I got my first bombergers last year and I LOVE it! This year I got my first shenks and I am not upset with the 100 I spent on it! It's nothing great but standard offerings are 50 bucks so I would like shenks at the 75 dollar mark but I am not upset or disappointed with it! If it stays around the 100 mark I will try next year's! Bombergers though I would love another bottle even though I have over half a bottle
I’d definitely love it at $75. Just don’t love the inconsistency with the last few years. Glad you enjoy the Shenk’s this year, Brett! cheers man thanks for watching! 👊🏽🥃
@@RobRhodes-c7i appreciate the kind words! If you find one I think you’d enjoy that over the shenk’s! thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! Cheers! 👊🏽🥃
2024 Shenks did not light my fire all that muvh but I loved the 2024 Bombergers. Actually the 2023 release was the other way around. Loved the Shenks better last yr. Bought them both at msrp. Would buy the Bombergers again at msrp if I see it again.
Nice reviews. I have Shenk’s and Bomberger’s from 2022, 2023 and 2024. Was able to get them at MSRP and like all of them. Like anything else, some releases are better than others. 🥃
Thanks, Dave! Appreciated. Definitely agree, they are all different and some better than others. Glad you enjoy them! Hoping the shenks opens up a little more for me!
@@dustinm6144 assuming you mean much better. It’s what I love about whiskey/bourbon, everyone has their own taste and preferences. I personally wouldn’t buy the 2024 shenks again, but loved the 2022 and 23 blends. Everyone has their own opinions. Cheers, Dustin
Unpopular opinion, I didn't care for last years shenks or bombergers either. I was at the distillery earlier this month and passed on both these bottles.
Interesting. We don't get them where I live, but I've heard good things about them. After watching this video, and reading your comment, I think I'll just get a pour if I come across 'em. Cheers!
I really appreciate the standings at the end to remind us where the bottle ranks. I don't think I've ever seen that before. Nice touch.
Appreciate it, Steve! Thanks for watching and for the kind words. Cheers brother! 🥃👊🏽

Can’t blame you there! I had never had a chance at one until this year and then had a shot back to back weeks! Haha cheers BJ! 👊🏽👊🏽

I haven't had a pour of either of these, but I think Bomberger would be my choice based on your review. Thanks Great review!!

@@chipaydlette6163 I’m pretty aligned with you there! I realized I had the 2022 Shenks and not 2023. But this inconsistency makes me hesitant anyways

If you would have asked me 10 years ago, I would have said heaven hill or buffalo Trace. Today I would say wild turkey for sure!
Good stuff! Cheers Mark! Thanks for watching and commenting! 🥃👊🏽
I like how you have Jim Beam 7 year Black on the top shelf. It's a good budget bottle, but top shelf??? LOL
Haha it’s with all my other beam product. I sort by distillery lol not value 🤣
I haven’t had either one of these bottles. As for favorite distillery, I would have to say anything made in Michigan.
Journeyman is def a great one! Cheers Johnny! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@whiskey_weather you’re welcome. Keep on being out the video’s!🥃

I’ve heard of shower beers….but not shower mash😅😅
Hahaha I’ll tell you what. A shower pour is nice every once in a while lol
Shenks was much better than Bombergers this year imo

Oh wow! Props to you for passing!
Neither of them are worth the price imo
Definitely agree that they are a little too pricey. Should be more in the $80 range IMO.
Shenks and Bombergers have been everywhere recently for just over 100$. The gimmick is over. They aren't worth it.
Definitely a hefty price for some average juice. Cheers Noobtube 👊🏽🥃

Thanks for watching, Harold! My issue is the inconsistency. Some are fantastic. Others are meh.
