Thank you now I can access my home cloud storage from my LTE network what a dumb rabbit hole of searching and this helped you'll be credited when I release my review video about the Zimaboard :D😬
Thank you for the video, it seems very straightforward. However, my casaOS terminal shows my Ubuntu server name in the command line instead of casaOS. As a result, when I installed it, it was installed on the server rather than on casaOS. Consequently, Tailscale directs me to my server rather than the casaOS browser address. What did I do wrong?
i just did this. but running newer version of Ubunto. people i share it with get like a lighttpd landing page even tho i specified a port. so they cant progress from there. how do you fix that ?
after tailscale up in terminal.... how to fix this problem : failed to connect to local tailscaled; it doesn't appear to be running (sudo systemctl start tailscaled ?)
Hi! Thx for the tutorial, though... I was wondering, I'm a noob with networking and I was wondering what I should do to make tailscale funnel work with casa os, in order to publicly access a my nextcloud instance?
Your Tailscale should not need a new key for authentication on each reboot. Ensure that you are not using ephemeral keys. Disable Expiring Keys: You can disable key expiration in your Tailscale settings if needed. Avoid Ephemeral Nodes: Do not use the --ephemeral flag when running tailscale up. Ensure Correct Time: Synchronize your system time with NTP to avoid key expiration issues. timedatectl sudo timedatectl set-ntp true If you continue to face issues, consider starting a forum post for further assistance at community.bigbeartechworld.com/c/bigbearyoutube/5
i have a question. When i am inside my network at home and want to access it or move files is it better to directly go to the ip from the home network or is there no downside to tailscale?
When you’re at home and on the same network as your devices, accessing them directly via their local IP addresses is usually the most straightforward and efficient way to move files or access services. This approach minimizes latency and maximizes speed since it doesn’t involve any external routing. Feel free to suggest video ideas: community.bigbeartechworld.com/c/bigbearyoutube/bbyt-suggestions/7

Cool! To log in the terminal in casaos we should use our casaos login and key, or there is another? I've tried with my adm key, but is saying that is wrong, even when it's not..I also tried with to login with casaos and the key also casaos, and also didn't worked..
For CasaOS login through terminal: Zimaboard: use casaos:casaos Other systems: use your root SSH credentials (username + password you use to SSH into your server) Sounds like you're having trouble because you're trying your admin key - that won't work here! Make sure you're using the right credentials based on your setup. Let me know if you still have trouble! 👍 Feel free to suggest video ideas: community.bigbeartechworld.com/c/bigbearyoutube/bbyt-suggestions/7

Thanks for the tutorial, it works. Btw, do you know why i cant access my device in local network like printer in 192.168.1.254 or router in 192.168.1.1?
You're welcome. In Tailscale, each device has its own Tailnet IP, so you would need to install Tailscale on each device or set up a subnet router within Tailscale.

You can use my script to enable SSH: github.com/bigbeartechworld/big-bear-scripts/tree/master/enable-ssh-on-pve-lxc
try user root
it's the same what you log in to casa os with
