- As part of the centenary of the last Cobb and Co coach service that ran in Australia in August 1924, Queensland Rail teamed up with the Australian Railway Historical Society to run a commemorative steam train to the small town of Yuleba to join in on the week long celebrations.
The train also ran a half day shuttle to Roma and return for locals to enjoy a steam train ride.
This video starts on Monday morning as the train departs Miles on its journey back to Toowoomba. Stopping along the way at Chinchilla and Dalby, the train rolled into the historic Toowoomba Railway station in the late afternoon where the tour concluded for the passengers.
Early the following morning, the train departed Toowoomba on its empty transfer back to the Ipswich Railway Workshops. Diesel Locomotive 2411 was added into the consist for the purposes of some driver training simulating a heavy load.
The quality of this was so good, I instantly subscribed.
