There IS a good alternative to tanning. Selftan sprays/mouse/cream will give you a nice sun kissed color without the dangers of over exposing your skin to the sun rays.
Dermatologists really need to start talking about the fact that you reduce your ability to make vitamin D by over 90% when you slather your whole body with sunscreen every time you're in the sun. It's about balance. Low vitamin D is linked with breast cancer, autoimmune disease, depression, dry skin and so much more. The sun is not our enemy. I really wish that there was more balance with these kinds of sound bites as this is information people need to be aware of. It's about practicing smart skin exposure!
sunscreen isn't going to stop you from getting vitamin D. and secondly most of us should be taking a vitamin D supplement anyways . just for healthy brain function
Frustrating that the doctor did not mention the ingredients in sunscreens to avoid for their toxic effect on the human physiology (hormone disruptors, carcinogens, etc). There are so many toxic sunscreens out there.
@@neonpandas no, why would they sell you something toxic? No sunscreen is toxic. People just like to fear-monger every little thing they don't understand. BGS is awesome, and you should feel good about protecting your skin!
Y’all need Dr.Dray on here.
