- Stevenson Creek Falls is listed as the 8th tallest waterfall in California at around 1,200 feet. Incredibly this is in the foothills, not in the mountains proper and is a super easy paved hike of about 2 1/2 miles, you can even bike to it. After the major storm California had in December 2016 I decided to go to Stevenson Creek Falls to see if any other creeks were running with the additional rainfall. Stevenson Creek runs right under a bridge built on the Million Dollar Road which is part of a power project built by Southern California Edison on the San Joaquin River. The falls are dam controlled so the amount of water is dependent on what they are letting out of Shaver Lake (or additional rainfall). I've always wondered what the creek looked like above the main falls so I wanted to get a look with the drone. Well come to find out that there are no fewer than 3 more distinct falls up above the main falls, with the last one being even larger I think. Really incredible to see stuff like this that you would normally never see without ropes. And some of the other creek had some rather nice rapids and falls as well. Enjoy.
What a rugged place and a feast for the eyes and spirit! Great flows to make that happen. Thanks for sharing your excellent perspectives.
Glad you enjoyed it
I have lived in Fresno for all my 63 years and didn't know this existed thank you such great footage.............

En mayor quiero irme a éste hermoso lugar gracias por compartir el video
lived just down the road..... The music, what is the song name.
I believe the first creek & cascades you videoed is Bald Mill Creek on Jose Basin Rd., approx. 2.5 mi. from Auberry Rd. I've been there a few times and I recognize that bridge. Awesome drone video... great job! Please do more! p.s. - Correction... the second creek in the video where it shows the bridge below... that one is the bridge on Jose Basin Rd. that crosses Bald Mill Creek. Carry-on ;)
Awesome drone footage! Which drone did you used?
