that is an absolutely gorgeous waterfall with amazing views all around. Yes, quite busy that day in the parking area but so gorgeous up there .that tunnel was very interesting ten year later, yes, definitely great you got to go again
The Jose creek looked nice quite a hike on Million Dollar road wow those Stevenson creek falls are amazing mate *🥸full viewed start to finish💯Au👍like for you 🎅🦘*
That is a beautiful waterfall. Looked like a real hike to get up the mountain. When you got there it looked like no one was around compared to the parking area. The falls were fantastic and we never knew that one was there. They built a wonderful platform to observe the falls at that one.
Beautiful tour and an amazing waterfall. The view at 4:34 reminds me of Langfossen waterfalls in Norway. Norway and Iceland has the best waterfalls I have ever seen in my life.
I know there is a Million Dollar Highway in Colorado, but I don't think I remember this Million Dollar Road. Loved these falls! Wow! Cool jump. 😁 Great job. 👍
Superb Sharing my friend! It really engaged me to the end! With great love and respect for your excellent work your friend is here from Chitral Pakistan.
Super nice hike. Stevenson Creek falls are pretty darn amazing! That tunnel was a little spooky/creepy. 😬😱 Worth a return to this amazing spot even if it did take a decade! BIG 👍 ~ Kristine N Xander 🐾
Looked dam spooky in that cave and although there were a lot of cars, the trail seemed pretty quiet, dam shame about the trash left mind. Great waterfall and what a drop, you seemed to have it all to yourself, cheers Alan
Million dollar road!! I hope that wasn’t a dead body drawing on the road 😳😳 The Falls was incredibly huge!! What incredible scenery my friend. Awesome 👍🏻👍🏻
Backpacking With Jason afterwards it occurred to me I should have pretended to lay dead on the road. darn. anyway, yes it is an amazing waterfall. thanks for your comment!
nibimocs I didn't quite have it all to myself unfortunately, but it was all right. yes, it is a pretty huge waterfall and a great place to visit. thanks!
You do a great Vanna White impersonation Leon! That waterfall is HUGE! I bet those pools in the upper tiers are awesome, but getting to them would be a bugger. Great redemption shots!
I've ridden my bicycle back to Stevenson Creek Falls, but it was many years ago. I need to go back. BTW, the 2nd tallest waterfall in Fresno County (as best I can tell) is on Patterson Creek above Balch Camp (Pine Flat area). It's probably 800 feet tall in two tiers. Check the Patterson Mountain 7.5-min quad.
@@waterfallmadman Patterson Creek Falls is pretty impressive. It looks a bit like a smaller Yosemite Falls, except that the upper fall is shorter than the bottom one.
Looked up the history of the waterfall, "Managed by Southern California Edison, a service road was built in 1922 for the Big Creek Hydroelectric Project. It's said to have cost one million dollars per mile to build. The name "Million Dollar Mile Road" stuck." Incredible to see a waterfall almost 1000ft tall. Nice one.
Now that is a waterfalls! Did the road end at the tunnel? There is a road on the North Carolina side of the Great Smoky Mountains NP that ends at a tunnel. Originally the plan was to build a road along the south side of the park after Fontana Lake was created, but the government stopped construction after 7 or 8 miles and. Now it called the Road to Nowhere.
Bryan DeLay the road continues along the river for quite a way, but I've not hiked any further than the falls. it is definitely an amazing one. thanks a bunch!
Amazing waterfall! How tall is it? It’s hard to picture so much water spilling over that it was covering the bridge! That must have been impressive! Great success 👍👍👍☀️☀️☀️
Jennifer Lupine it is 950 ft. tall. If you want to see my photo of it when it was spilling over the bridge, here it is: waterfallswest.com/images/stevenson-creek-falls-1.jpg
@@waterfallmadman Great photo! I guess I haven’t visited your webpage before, just found you on Instagram too. The waterfall that day was amazing - you can hardly tell that there’s even a bridge! 👌⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hey I so want to go to this but having trouble finding it. Anymore help would be great. Is there a better address I can use. The falls doesn’t come up in google maps. The town is 3 hour drive. Million dollar road comes up but looks long.

Maryann Hazel is that a compliment? ha ha. thanks for commenting. I'll be back for the upper tier in another year.
I grew up here. I hunted and fished this mountain from 1976-1994
What a waterfall!! I'm curious myself as to why the road is called the million dollar road now, but your explanation is pretty good lol
IfWeGoTo it does make sense, and I do think it is the correct explanation. thanks for your comment. :)
