For the people who don’t already know this, my drums are real drums. No triggers or samples are used at all in the production of this track, whether that be for replacing, layering or enhancing sounds in any way shape or form. Nothing is snapped to grid, and it was recorded in 1 take with no cuts, miming or pre-recorded audio/video. This is true for every song on my solo album 🤘🏻

Is that what 3:06-3:09 is called?! I've always listened, studied or paid attention to only the drums in every single song since I was like 12...but whatever that beautiful sound is at 3:06-3:09 & other parts of the song, has caught my attention like a short & sexy brunette with a perfect face & body, holding a sign that says "I'm not crazy, I promise!"
I've repeated that part at least 69 times in the last 3 minutes alone. Not to mention all the other times I've kept this song on repeat.

Dude I swear these songs continue to get more and more creative without breaking that classic Chris turner chug formula.
I had a student that I took over from another teacher at the school I work at. They said their last teacher was always badgering them about proper posture even though they have something wrong with their spine. I showed them a video of Chris playing and said “if you have to sit slightly wrong to play drums effectively and comfortably for you then sit that way” in the last 6 weeks they’ve improved so much behind the drums because they aren’t worried about sitting “properly” at all times
