Why is the modeling light not in the head? If you put the flash head inside a modifier and/or want to angle the head-that would make the modeling light pretty much worthless!

I use the led in the v1 for focus when I’m shooting in nightclubs, can’t bounce the flash that way though
@@C0WAN This video is about the V860III-not the round head V1. Why can't you bounce the flash if it’s on the head as it is on the V1? You can see where it hits the wall and somewhat calculate how it will bounce off the wall.

Por que no hacen el pequeño esfuerzo de poner también el español, que es un idioma usado en muchísimos países por millones de personas? Hi there, I just bough a brand new Godox V860III c and always stays on M, I can change anything but doesn't want to go to ETTL A, only ETTL M, why is that ? Wen I press on zoom, stays always on 14mm. My lens is Canon prime RF 35mm on Canon R6

i use flash godox v860 iii for sony a7iii camera. but I'm not comfortable using this flash on the hot shoe, which often breaks. I have done the replacement 5 times. Then another bad thing that I experienced in this flash was because of the intervention of the yellow color. I tried Canon's Godox v1, on a Sony A7iii camera and I'm more comfortable with the colors that match the settings. is there a sony v860 iii upgrade that no longer interferes with color?
no response. it looks like the sony v860iii flash is not good. maybe it's good I will make a separate broadcast to get an answer in the form of a solution. bottom line this is not good.

Your video shows this with Version 1.1 firmware. The unit I just bought has 1.0 firmware. How do I update? Don't see anything on Godox site.

The white glove obscured the actual button pressed and also made it difficult to read the white script

Good job Godox, please consider making more accessories for AD200, I love how versatile and convenient this system is, like using AD-B2 with 2 AD200..etc.
An AD-B2 Mark II would be nice, with more powerful LED, also some kind of protective case you can installed on the outside to protect the AD200(s) installed.

I just got my godox V860iii today along with the Xpro trigger for my canon m50. Everything seems to be fine but for some reason my zoom won’t adjust at all, not from the trigger or the flash. I hit zoom and scroll the wheel but it stays at 14mm. Tried restarting it a few times and also trying to adjust it from the trigger but nothing. Any ideas?
if the built in flash card and diffuser is set please check it at the head and I guess it is trigger by that

Does the af beam work with mirorless?
None of my buttons do anything beside turn on the light of the screen. I cannot change anything. It is impossible for me to change to power of the flash in Manual mode. The +/- button does not highlight the power, so turning the wheel does nothing. Are my settings locked? Holding down the Menu button does nothing. My flash is useless as long as I cannot change the power of the flash.
Hello. Please help me to solve a problem. When I put my flash v860iii in Ettl at EV 0, it interprets as EV -1 2/3. The image is darker than if I set it to EV-1. When I set it to EV + 0.3 or - 0.3, the flash will behave normally. Is this a firmware or hardware issue?

The Godox V860iii is not compatible with the settings of in camera body flash control available with newer Sony camera like A7IV, A7RV. The settings called “external flash settings “ under flash settings in these cameras is greyed out when V860iii is attached on hot shoe or connected as off camera flash. Can a firmware update to V860iii be a solution to make it compatible with a very useful function within camera body to use the Godox flash to its fullest potential like the Sony Flashes? Kindly reply

I purchased the Neewer version and the flash only lasted a couple of months before it failed, as for their trigger, that wouldn't even sit on my Canon camera hotshoe, just feel off after locking it. Have returned the trigger and looking to return the flash and exchange it for this Godox version. Is this Godox version more reliable or just as bad. Many thanks for your help

The fat fingers were in the way. Using a pointer might be better. Do I read the sub titles or watch a finger pressing one of the buttons or dials?

It would be a good tutorial if only the hand wasn't wearing a glove. It obscured a lot of the visual stuff and I had to replay several times
I purchased a V860iii-N (for Nikon). Two things don't quit work: 1) Zoom focus length adjustment. The instruction says press the Zoom button, then rotate the dial. I did, but the value does not change, it is stuck at 14mm. 2) There is no instruction on how to set it for FEB (flash exposure bracketing) in the user's manual. Does anyone have similar experience or can provide some guidance?
Do you have the diffusor panel on the front? It wont zoom with the diffusor panel in use as it thinks your using a wide angle lens, at least my V860II wont

I think is not useful this position of the modelling light, , when you put some accesory like difussor or so on the modelling light will be useless in that position. I think they put in this place because in the furure they will put in the Flash Screen. Make no sense the light there, I will wait to buy it until then.

I‘m landscape photographer and have hardly ever used flashes. Now I’m going to buy one and can’t decide between the V1 and 860iii. For the portraits I usually use the 200mm focal distance, if I take a group photo I often use 20mm. For this reason I think the 860iii would be a better choice for me, am I wrong? On the other hand, if I‘m going to use my new flash mainly remotely, the restricted (28-105mm only) range of the V1 doesn’t matter much, does it?
Both of them will be fine. Maybe you misunderstood the coherence of focal length and zoom length of the flash head? :-)
For portraits: Definitely invest in a godox wireless trigger too and place the flash near your model. Best effects take place when you're using a light modifier like a soft box. The closer the light (and the bigger the softbox) the softer it will be. 20mm will be fine, 28mm too.
For group photos it depends on the amount of people. Best practice is to use a white ceiling/wall behind you to bounce your flash's light on to the subjects. The V1 and the V860iii should be powerful enough to light the scene.
In both cases I'd always try to avoid using the flash directly on camera. That can lead to red eyes in portraits (especially when zooming the reflector to 200mm!). In group photos you may lost a lot of light to the edges of the group because light decreases in squares - every time the center of the group is properly exposed by the flash the sides will be slightly underexposed, no matter if it's 20mm or 28mm zoom...
Too many buttons to press too many settings to remember please try to make it simple as possible (welcome the ttl to manual switch)

You can’t get easier then this. Speedlight is not a simple device, nor was planned to be.

The video would significantly more useful if there was voice over. I found it a pain to try to watch what the person was doing and read the text. Also a few things need to be explained as you go.

The modeling light is the most useless feature this flash. Why not make it a secondary flash fill light like the Metz flashes. Nobody will use this modeling light especally event photographers.
If you have mirrorless camera...this modeling light can be useful for focusing, because mirrorless cameras can't use af assist, so I think event and wedding photographers are gonna especally use this. :)
@@unique93obr Thats it. Nikon Z camera user here. Can't use the red light assist so the modeling light is great sometimes in low light situations to focus

Next time you do a video GET RID of the white gloves!!!!! They distract, block, and are too light in color!!! Otherwise good and informative.
