Dan Levy just fits in with the cast perfectly, if I didn’t know him from shitts creek I would have just assumed he was added to the cast. He just works really well.

Because he honestly doesn’t know what’s happening and says what and no because the show is so below par that’s the best defense for in 10’years when people ask “why?” He can say he had no idea what was happening. I like the cast members but snl has been straight garbage for like 8 years with only like a handful of sketches that were good.

For those who are curious, this is a reocurring sketch Cecily Strong, James Anderson and Kent Sublette wrote, starting back in 2015 with Chris Hemsworth, where 2 people sing a song nobody knows, until everyone suddenly remember it. There's one with Chris Pine (not available anymore) and one with Steve Carrell too. Cecily Strong has been THE resident musical theater geek since Taran Killam left.

@@augustusandrew8018 so I had to look it up bc I remembered that song being called cot damn and thought the skit got it wrong - apparently the original song was called “g*d damn” but the record label made them change it bc “no one in the Bible Belt would listen.” So on the clipse album lord willing it was called “cot damn” and then on the neptunes compilation album clones as “hot damn” with a sample from their other song “what happened to that boy” . Idk if anyone even cares but this skit sent me down a rabbit hole so I had to share haha

I think that's why flash mobs are so cool. I never liked musicals, but I always thought it would be comical if you took the extremely unrealistic concept of complete strangers joining you to dance in the street and actually did that, but people .... actually do do that, and it's usually not funny, they're extremely moving demonstrations of a common humanity. People act like pedestrians and then slowly start joining into something and then it becomes this elaborate thing at which point it becomes obvious it was planned but how it all unraveled was beautiful.
I swear the enire cast is so good a t singing, if a little flat. But that makes it better
