Cornflour or cornstarch is better suited to sprinkle on the bench. The fondant doesn't absorb it like icing sugar. Icing sugar may change the fondant if it takes on too much sugar.
Hi, thanks for your comments I’m afraid these cutters are no longer sold but you can get very similar ones from most cake decorating websites. Here’s a link to some very similar. X www.thevanillavalley.co.uk/pme-plastic-cutters/butterfly-cutter-set-of-2.html
Hi thanks for your question, fondant and Sugarpaste are the same thing, people just call them both, Sugarpaste would be the more professional word for fondant. Hope that helps, lizzie xx
Elizabeth Harris thank you for your reply..one more question could I use fondant to makes roses and would they harden solid and how do i keep them to retain the hardness
HI, no problem, you can you fondant to make roses but they wont harden like flower paste or Mexican paste would, they will go hard but not as strong and they will be more fragile when handled, i wouldn't recommend using fondant for roses. the extra pennies spent on flower paste is well worth it, you can store them in any container just make sure there is a small hole in the top to let air circulate. best wishes lizzie x
