Beautiful ! As all your productions are. You have a unique aesthetic and an eye for beauty. Beauty will save the world ! Thank you for sharing your precious knowledge and travels with all of us.
Ciao Curtis! How beautiful! I haven't been to Greece for decades and this really made me want to return. Thank you so much for taking us with you...a presto! 😍🤗😘
Beautifully filmed with a gorgeous soundtrack for added immersion into the local atmosphere. I fully agree with you ,buying the correct no queue tickets is the only way to see things without being swamped by crowds and having to battle your way through to see the exhibits. Hope you did well at the festival !
So cool! Thanks for sharing your trip! My 9 year is really into Greek and Egyptian stuff! When you showed the horse on top of the Athena’s temple.. I got a lesson about Poseidon and how he created them from sea foam❤
Such a beautifully filmed vlog and beautiful country. I’ve never been so thankful for taking us along with you. Congratulations on attending your first film festival in Greece.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😍😘
Great video Curtis! It's a shame that you only had such a brief time at the museums. The food looked amazing. It's a good thing I was eating breakfast when I watched this. 🙂🇨🇦
What a fabulous video. You’ve all been missed! Did you have a cold when recording the voiceovers….because it suddenly sounded 2 tones lower. The normal pitch of your voice is perfect for voiceovers! Maybe a recording glitch. Love to you ❤
Hello Curtis sorry you had to leave early. Re Acropolis Grandpa Leo Katz Artist, painter, teacher and art historian and someone I feel you and he would have recognized as kindred spirts told me about the Acropolis when I was a child. If he visited and made drawing of the Acropolis it might have been before the 1st world war - I am unsure. This is what I remember about one of his Acropolis stories. Few ancient visitors to the Acropolis were able to enter, rather they would walk as part of a ceremony around the building. As they processed, the gloriously painted bas relief walls would be experienced as a series of pictures separated by columns. He said it was like an early moving picture show. A story would unfold in time and space. What is so moving about your presentations of Egyptian temples is I feel you approach and move about a temple space as it was intended to be experienced. Regards
Welcome to Greece ❤ I watch your channel and subscribed couse I love Ancient Egypt!! Weird eh? 😂 Of course ancient Greece too, I was sleeping with mythology not fairytales Have a great time here 💓 Maria
Greek sculpture, of course, started off with the archaic period, which shows the male figures (kouros) and female figures (kores) hewn out of a square monolithic form. So, if you take a walk around a kouros, you will get the destinct impression that you are viewing an Egyptian sculpture...one straight leg before another, hands down against the sides, stylised muscles, hair and facial features. Of course, Greece was directly influenced by its geographically close neighbour of Egypt. It was only in the classical period that sculptures became realistic.
wow, the thing that caught my attention the most was the fact that on the cemetery stones there were private parts sculpted so that the male or female who died there can be identified :)). It reminds me of ancient Pompey city in Italy, which is full of masculine genitals sculptures all over the place and it shows how much the ancient world was embracing sexuality. Ive been to Greece few times including Athens, but im not a huge fan because the heat is unbearable and the city is so crowded. You were lucky to find a taxi driver so cool, ive only met weirdos in Athens. Loved seeing all the temples you visited, i wish you could have had more time there to talk us through what you found.
Buongiorno buonasera hello my lovely Greece just stunning surrounded by history steeped in mythology and with a lovely companion that orange cake looked decadent and more special enjoying in Greece😍👌Thankyou for another video full of the history and mysteries of the navel I liked that helmet on you Fillipo would of been very surprised grazie mille just wonderful 💖💖😘😘👌🌟
Taxi driver says bullshits about omonoia square. He exaggerated. Omonoia area is absolutely safe. Yes there are some junkies as everywhere else in big cities but they are harmless. Omonoia area is very bohem and alternative area.
But the question is, did either of you give the kitty any food? 😼 How wonderful to get to see all of those things. I'm betting there would be some amazing historical artifacts one could find at that market. You made me want to try that cake with orange syrup. 🥮
We did feed that cats 😜 hehe and yeah the market was great but the antiques market was way over priced considering you can get the same thing online for half the price 🙈
Greece is one of my favorite places to visit, so much beauty and history.

Sorry about your experience there. It can be tough for some in such a busy place! Yes the private parts were certainly an important symbol for them

We learned that since we spent each night there 😉
Watched your video Curtis. It was refreshing after the usual news politics yuck
The news can be depressing
Were you often recognized in Greece? Because in Russia, if I saw you, I would immediately rush to hug you.😘
Aww so sweet! I had a few people at the ancient sites, but not much haha. If I have a hat and glasses in people I look like everyone else
