Italy changed me. My daughter was living in Vicenza for several years and I was able to spend some time in Italy. I loved taking the bus, by myself, and discovering lots of hidden gems. I came back home with my heart filled with joy. If you are thinking of going...don't put it off. I'm physically unable to travel now because of several accidents. So, go play. You won't ever regret it. Sending loving and peace-filled thoughts to everyone.
Thanks and many blessings to you🥰💖🥰
If I could turn back time, k think I would spend the first 25 years of adulthood, working hard and living frugally and saving to move somewhere like Italy.
We have watched so many videos preparing for our trip to Rome. This one is possibly the best. It’s not over produced. It doesn’t have the blasting background music. They just roll the camera and let the beauty of the city do the work while dropping good tips. Keep up the good work.
Rome is a city that I had always dreamt of going to but not really thinking that I ever would! 6 years ago I found myself there, not only in Rome but in a place of my childhood dreams, the Trevi Fountain. It was so beautiful and the moment was so perfect, I found myself just staring and crying with pure joy and happiness to be there. I will be back again, soon!! ❤
That was me 5 years ago except my childhood dream was the Sistine Chapel!! I am going back later this month and taking my 71 year old mother! ❤
@frenchbrunette74 Ohh that was truely beautiful as well. I hope you both have a wonderful experience. Memorable time shared together ❤️
Two small things - naturalmente! - if you go to Piazza del Popolo go up the stairs to the Borghese gardens and the Galleria Borghese with the incredible INCREDIBLE collection of Bernini statues. And in Bernini's Piazza in front of San Pietro you can easily find the two round marble circles marked "Centro del Colonnato" - if you stand on them, all the pillars line up perfectly!
Jessi, I applaud you for speaking Italian so well and often. Great job!!!
Thank you!! I’m definitely trying my best!
I went to Italy in 2008, Rome being one of the main stays. I was 18 and was amazed but didn’t soak in the beauty and culture of the small things. I went to so many small towns but can’t remember a single name. If anyone travels anywhere take a journal! Even if it’s to write down the town/city and places you went. I wish I would have 🖤🖤 thank you for these videos! It’s like a flash back 15 years.
I also went to Italy around that time like 2010 and I was 15-16 and I’m finally going back and I’m going to appreciate it way more and like the food better before I was so picky
Jessi got me crying over here too 🥲💓 I love her enormous genuine heart. Thanks for sharing your beautiful adventures with us!
🥹 thank you!
Allessio, thank you so very much for your education on not wearing a bag facing the street for theft prevention. Also, using the washer was priceless. An earlier episode teaching us how to use a bidet was priceless. I loved this episode so much. Jesse, you are a delight! Kudos, for learning Italian.
I have a question. How do you make dinner reservations at a favorite restaurant if you speak little to no Italian? Maybe, cover that in a future video?
Thank you both. I hope to visit Italy in the next year and will use all your tips!
Priceless!
Thank God for all the water fountains in Rome. I was there in April once and thought it would be cool. They were having a heat spell and was in the 80s and 90s. Drank from the water fountains all over Rome. Super cold and delicious. And that apartment. Perfect location to tour Rome!!!! Perfetto!
Absolutely beautiful seeing Rome and its food and treasures through both your eyes. ❤
I think after watching the videos that I would want to go to small towns that are very beautiful and peaceful, with cafes where I can get pastries and coffee, gelato, and delicious food. I don’t feel too keen about the large crowds and lines. But that was a great tip about going in the winter if I do want to do the tourist destinations
I thought the same . Italian countryside would be more my vibe!!!
Thank you for these amazing videos! They’re so fun and relaxing at the same time. I’m living vicariously through you two. I’m a caregiver to my elderly mom and I can’t leave her to go on vacations. You take me to places I wish I could visit. My last vacation was 8 years ago in Rome and I had a great time! This video brought back so many great memories. So thank you! ❤
Also, I’m curious to know where the locals live… would they live in the same building that you stayed at or are they mostly turned into Airbnbs? Do the elderly with walking disabilities live on first levels? Those stairs and cobblestone streets would be challenging for them.
It is true, I could watch your videos all day, but A) I would get nothing done, and B) I would start crying because I have not found love like you have. May God continue to bless you and keep you safe and in good health. (I just know you have visited a beautiful church somewhere to truly thank Jesus for the love he has bestowed on you.......perhaps the Vatican to light a candle?) ❤
The best video of Italy. I lived in Rome for three months😅. I loved it!!!
Back when I was there, via this and via that had me lost constantly. And with no cell phones, I was constantly messed up. But, it was worth every lost moment.
Loving this tour, beautiful places and views. I'm so glad you are both having the best time.
My husband and I are in Rome now. Married for 16 years, together over 19 years. First time here. Unfortunately not used to the humidity and makes me sick so we’ve had to go out early, 6am and come back by 12pm and then go back out around 7pm-8pm. Trying to enjoy as best we can.
She's so sweet ❤ I'm about to visit Rome for the first time and loving your videos, guys. (: it has been of great help.
Beautiful, thank you, many people, including me travel with you in their imagination. 💙💛🇮🇹🕊
Grazie mille sei gentilissimo!
❤️
I also travel in my mind. Your videos are so beautiful; I feel I’m there with you as you film your travels. You have such a personal touch that informs us. Your videos are so beautiful. The scenery puts me there with you. Gratz👍🏻❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸🧓🏻Texas. 42:55
All of your videos are great and much appreciated. From watching them I am ready to get back to Italy and explore even on my own. Also I absolutely love Jessi's dresses, where do you get them they look comfortable for travel and are appropriate for any location you go into.
I have been in Rome three times and I am ready for my fourth. I love it❤❤❤
Alessio when we are in Italy, for drying our laundry I always hang it on the rack and then put a stand up oscillating fan in front of it - dries usually in only a few hours. Thanks for showing us the washing machine - I've never seen that kind before so if I see one, I'll know what to do.
Sweet video. Beautiful sites and sounds. Thanks for the tips. Very helpful. 💙🩷🫶🫶⭐⭐🙏✝️
I adore the way you two look at each other! 💜🙏🏻🌸☮️🤌🏻
Been to Rome several times - have never seen lines like these! One of the best trips was Christmas time loved seeing all the presepi; so magical. 😊
You have taken me to a place I will never be able to go. I had an amazing time watching your video and enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you.
The Steps, the Fountain and the Sistine Chapel, of course. Enjoy.
But, hands down, emotionally the biggest kick was the Coloseum. Standing down in pits and thinking of lions, Christians, gladiators....what a super rush.
In Canada, we can buy Roma Pass before leaving for the visit. It gets us in without the line. As for the Vatican, there is a separate pass to get in without the lineup.
Great video
I get emotional there too! I happy cried my entire Euro vacation. :) Heading back in 2 months from today. You better believe I'm counting down the days. I'm loving your videos. ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your travels with us to Bellissima Roma and everywhere else in Bella Italia
I cannot like this video enough! ❤ I'm preparing my very first trip to Italy with my mom and your videos have inspired me so much, I've got my map with the locations you have recommended all ready. Thank you so much for sharing all your tips and your adventures with us. Much love from Costa Rica.
The hotel that I had in Rome had the most extraordinary breakfast!!! They had so so much! It was amazing!
Roma is ok, but Venezia stole my heart. I went when the masked carnival was happening. The most magical place I ever saw!
You're a lovely couple! So genuine! I enjoy watching your videos, wherever you go. ❤❤❤
Love Roma❣️ we stayed in a hotel on the right side of the Pantheon - so fabulous! Many thanks for sharing your experiences - awesome!
Thank y’all for sharing this with us. Italy in 2024!
Beautiful Vlog! The hidden gems and travel/money saving tips is great! I hope this channel is nominated for Best Travel Channel on RUclips!
As a city, Rome has the best energy!!❤❤
BEST ROME PREP VIDEO, hands down ❤ thank you 🙏
All roads lead to Rome. Italy --- the home of modern day Europe. Jess is an angel of beauty and delicate sweetness. Enjoy Italy!
Crispy McBacon on repeat that is a certain type of torture! 😂
Im so happy yall are moving there….. i have tears just saying that! If u ever need assistance holding your purse, im available!!
If you are a citizen of the former HRE you can visit the Campo Santo dei Teutonici.
It’s a cemetery and extraterritorial possession of the Holy Sea in Italy, a rather tranquil place for rest and meditation.
Every day from 9 to 12 one may be granted entry when the request is made in German to the Swiss guardsman or after showing a Belgian or Dutch passport, though on Wednesdays a visit may not be possible.
We just went to Restorante da Michele on this recommendation and I had the Cacio e Pepe, and my girlfriend had the Carbonara. Both were fantastic (mine was better) and the house red wine was great too 😊. Also both had the Tiramisu. Absolutely delicious!! Thanks for the tip!
what a cute, elegant couple! thanks for sharing this informative video.
Crispy Mc Bacoooooon 😂 thank you for the amazing vlogs 🤗
Glad you like it! ❤️
Where did you stay during this trip? Love all your videos, you guys are the best!!!
I love that black dress by the way it looks amazing on you! Also, my parents are from the Dominican Republic and they would’ve responded the same way about wearing a black dress 😂❤
Wow I want to stay there, right next to history!
You guys light up in Italy 🇮🇹
💙🙏🏻💙
Time for you both to move to Italy and lead us Americanos on tours! I’m ready for sure!
I LOVE Rome, Italy. I have never been there. I would love to go to Rome, Italy.
The church. ❤
We stayed in that same building, right next to the Pantheon! Rome is such a magical place. We fell in love with the singing of the man who's down there in the piazza most nights singing Italian songs ❤ this video makes me really nostalgic so thank you. Also Jessi, I love your glasses! What's the brand and style, if you happen to know it off hand? One more thing... The next time you guys go to Rome, there's a cafe really close to where you were staying called Dolce Rotonda... They had three or four different kinds of pistachio pastries that were so delicious. We went there A LOT for breakfast 😂 safe and fun travels to you guys! I can't wait to go back there myself 😍
Can you tell me the name of this apartment? I'm planning my trip for Nov 2025.
We couldn't go this year, but looking forward to one day be able to do it. Thank you for sharing.
It is certainly a romantic city. Mark and I have both been but with our previous partners before we met and there wasn't much romance. I think we would so enjoy it now we are together. Thank you for the tips and advice. Well filmed and documented ❤️💯
Looks very nice but when he said hair plugs instead of earplugs😂
Rewatching this, LOVE IT. A room with a Pantheon view 🤩 Oh and 🥓🍔
My favorite place in Italy was Assisi loved it.
it is a very beautiful place
26:27 this is awesome. I would be clueless. Although, now we have google and so I do feel like u can almost find any info u need, as long as u have access to the Internet.
You are such a lucky girl!
Via Margutta 51 is where Gregory Peck's character lived at in the movie "Roman Holiday ", starring Audrey Hepburn
Thank You Jessi and Alesio!
❤️
You are so funny and I am lifting from you I am so happy for you!!! 🌟☀️🇺🇸
Amazing video.. ❤felt like I was there with you two lol
Crispy McBacon 😂😂
THANK YOU fot a great tout
loved your video, even if its long, its's very useful and you guys are funny, lovely and enjoy walking. That room view over patheon is quite a vantage point but but be quite noisy. I've visited Rome before, in Spring 5 days to spare but this time I only have 1 full day until near midnight so I plan walking around although I have scheduled a visit to the Patheon, it was closed last time I went. I don't know if this is still a thing but I advise to get the ticket to the vatican museum online on the half hour before it opens slot. It was a bliss.
What is the best and most affordable way to travel to Italy (travel agent, booking on your own, etc.)? All the Italian foods y’all show makes me just want to go to Italy more lol 😂…. Italian is my favorite food to eat!
this one is going on the travel playlist :)
As an italian jessi ..you are a Shining star❤
IM IN LOVE WITH ITALY!! I feel you Jessie!!

Beautiful ceiling of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
Crispy Mcbacon 😂
You two are awesome 🥰🌸💜☮️🙏🏻🌏🌎🌍
When you said "This is the most beautiful view...", and in the background there was a man picking his nose! 😂😂😂!
It is so beautiful!
I’ve been cooked up in Texas my whole life… I really need to travel 😢😢😢
Jessi & Alessio I love your videos. Italy is such a beautiful place and I would love to travel there one day. But I wanted to say that in Australia we have something similar to Fonzies called Twisties. Even the bags are the same.
The water squirt in the beginning 😂😭
Great video so much too see in Rome 🙂🇩🇰
Omg currently in Rome as well!!! Maybe we'll bump into each other exploring!
Are people afraid of getting sick anymore, are all v, never going there. Thanks for the travelog.
Okay, you missed a coupkle of items. First is the Pyramid. Take the Metro B line to the Pyramide stop, and when you exit the station, you look slightly to your left and there it is a pyramid. Also, part of the old city walls, entry gate, etc. Then get back on the subway, head back towards the main train station, but get off at the Circo Maximo stop to go see where the Circus Maximus was. Second is the Fontana dell'Acqua Paulo - a ery large fountain and pool complex on a par in size to Trevi, just not as ornate, and never a crowd.
Curious what you guys think of Tony's near Trastevere?! Full name is La Tavernetta 29 da Tony e Andrea. It's definitely a touristy spot but Tony is amazing and i love it. Just curious if you or anyone in the comments checked it out!
Love this video! We are planning a trip to Rome in March the first week. Do you think the lines will be long? Also I hear when you buy a metro or bus ticket you have to validate them. How do you do that?
Alessio and Jessi, It’s beautiful Rome,,tanks for yours tips. Sorry I probably missed some of their videos, where did Misia stay?
micia was at home with family
I was hoping Jesie would go for a swim in the trevi fountain
Jessi's heart had me crying, too. ❤
Also, if you're going to break up with someone, please do it privately. You look like a complete jerk doing it in public.
Anyway, fantastic video. Thoroughly enjoyed it. 😊
Jessi you are true empath
I'm going crazy... Jessi - zip up your bag! Back in the day, not sure if still the case, but pickpockets would bump into you and grab more than you can imagine out of an open bag, even if you have your hand over it.
Largo Argentino opened just this month. It’s new!
Great location
Haaa I think we sat in the same seat at Trapizzino last week - I could eat 5 of the doppia panna e alici (and promptly explode)
Do you guys have any recommendations about eating gluten free in Rome/ Italy in general?
Crispy McBacon
Crispy Mcbacon 🍔
Can you please be advised from which website should I buy colosseum tickets before I go there?
