      Garland is not being truthful. He sounds narriccisst like. Instead of taking accountability to having at least a t.v. like most back in those days where just like I knew Tupac's every move from his schooling to state to state locations via the news, magazines, and Tupac's music; he could have found him. He didn't care to. Soon as he thought Tupac was about to past he found him immediately anticipating his death for a payout.
      Garland could've even said, both Afeni & I played a part. She raised him to the best of her ability while I was absent. I do not want money because I never contributed financially, all I want is a relationship with my son.
      He didn't say nothing near this because money is the ONLY thing Garland wants and still wants.

      Mr Garland said in the interview he never looked for Tupac, but he wished he had. He said in the interview he stopped going to see Tupac when the black panther party broke up. Mr Garland do not seem like he made an effort to be in Tupac's life. He never paid child support. Never had scheduled visits. You don't find that odd?

    • @wisdom4498
      @wisdom4498 Год назад

      @@nikeshamorrow9444 Very odd because Garland is lying about everything. From what I gather, Garland & Afeni messed around and she got pregnant. Garland was with another woman and had other kids. He didn't care about the one he had with Afeni. Afeni was more involved in the Black Panthers Party and had started being with Mutulu after who supported her and Tupac.
      Garland never looked for Tupac even though he knew he was his son up until Pac was hospitalized and near death. Garland then and only then easily found Tupac to collect money for being a sperm donor deadbeat.

He had other kids by other women. That tells me he was an irresponsible person in itself. Now, add the fact that this woman you laid down with is possibly pregnant with another kid, most likely he was avoiding her and not caring until she moved on and away and then tears later he finds out the kid he help create by the woman he showed little interest in is a superstar in the making. I'm not going to take Mr.Garlands interview at face value for several OBVIOUS reasons ... however all the characters in this story that could vouch or dispute his claims are now DECEASED .. I'm not saying the man is sitting here telling bold face lies . I'm saying I've seen him in NUMEROUS INTERVIEWS over the last 25 years and this is the FIRST time I've ever heard him display this information in an emotional tone ... in fact one interview in particular all I remember him talking about was when he went to the hospital to see Pac after he was shot .. when he saw his son's penis size .. that's what made him know that was his son . He was even cracking jokes about it .. Fast forward until today .. now Afeni died in 2016 .. almost 8 years ago .. which in my opinion would have solidified a foundational reason for him to speak out .. but he didn't .. I believe the only reason he's doing this NOW .. is because Tupacs stepfather Mutulu Shakur ( who adopted pac and gave him his last name ) was just released from prison last year and currently resides in California after being locked up since 1981 .. and I heard everybody from everywhere are bidding .. to get him FIRST on an EXPLOSIVE tell all .. meaning if he accepts I'm sure he will be paid at least 1 million .. Billy is trying to get ahead of that situation .. in my opinion to clear the air .. nothing else makes sense .. 📍

    I had a similar experience. My parents were 17 when I was born. When my mom told my dad she was pregnant she found out that my father had got another woman pregnant and promised to marry her. My mom was upset and told him he'd never see me or be in my life. It wasn't until I was 30 years old that I discovered that the man that raised me wasn't my biological father. My biological family reached out to me and I found out that everyone on that side of the family knew about me even though I didn't know about them. Everyone took me in and made me feel like family. My mother knows I've met my father but its such a sensitive subject that I can never discuss it with her or let her know that I have a relationship with that side of my family. Women too often make those kind of decisions without looking long term how their decisions will affect that child later in life

    At 18 my daughter made her first Facebook, I had been checking all these years. I wrote her. Took a long time for her to trust me because she was told all lies about me.
    Then we had a disagreement on how she (my daughter) was talking to my son, her half brother. We didn’t speak for a year or so and man did I think about calling her so many times. Got a message in Facebook from a stranger that she hadn’t heard from my daughter for a long time. I tried contacting my daughter, her mother, her uncle, her grandma. NOBODY responded. Also if Billy was looking hard he should have known all the moves 2Pac was making but instead his friend was the one telling him about 2Pac becoming famous? I don’t know all the details but I find it weird that he got married and had five other children and were in their lives but abandoned tupac. That to me doesn’t really make sense. That sounds like it’s some shady ness going on. You got to understand at this time we talking about the 70’s and 80’s not the 90’s like some ppl keep saying. The bps were under heavy investigation by the FBI during that time Afeni had married Matulu Shakur afterwards who also was under investigation by the FBI along with Asata Shakur and others. He said he hadn’t seen tupac from the age of 3-15. That’s right before Afeni married Matulu Shakur. Then in 84 Afeni moved to Baltimore. She was on drugs by that time so I would imagine pac was probably moving from house to house. By 88 pac was in Oakland. It wasn’t that easy to find ppl back then so I could see how he wouldn’t have been able to reach out to tupac like that given the circumstances.

That would make a lot of sense as to why he never paid child support. Maybe she never put him on because then she would've had to legally acknowledge him as Tupac's father, which she never did even after Tupac died. That would explain why she told Tupac that "Legs" and also another man was his father instead of Billy Garland. That wouldn't make Ms. Afeni a bad mother but what if she was just your average young, scorned, and bitter woman? @@nolanstarnes7110 I can assume from Garland's words. It's my opinion and that's how he sounds to me.
      I do not blame either parent per se, it's about accountability. No parent is perfect, all comes with flaws, growing pains, trials & tribulations.
      The difference is, Afeni owned hers, Garland does not. Dude literally is saying me, me, me like his voluntarily absence did not play a part. I'm certain Pac could've respected Garland more if he'd reached out before he was near death. Pac was public record and findable. Tupac didn't respect that nor did Afeni. Garland did not deserve understanding because he's lying about it. Nor does he deserve Tupac fans sympathy. We love Pac. Garland did not and does not. Just think, if Tupac was not hospitalized near death, Garland still wouldn't have appeared because there was not anything for him to gain.

      It's never voluntary. And if you believe that, then you believe the lie that black men in general does not take care of their children. The system perpetuates that lie, and in most cases the mothers is the tool used to single handedly destroy the child's relationship. You need to get more wisdom because you don't sound like you seen and experienced enough.

    Im 52. Never met my dad. Didn't bother me until i older. Like about 35. I ended up raising 2 boys by myself. From ages 3 and 1. I often wondered how my life would have been different with a dad. But. Mom did a damn good job raising 4 kids total.
