Whatever he was ....but you have to stop listening to this man he is a liar and a conman ... Remember him constantly reminding the viewers in this interview he never took a dollar from Pac and Afeni ? But in the last interview he said he got a million and took it what a liar he is and the way he said it was just a million casually means he was expecting more he was not happy with just a million and again the Pac suit he talked about which he got from Afeni instead of keeping it as a memoir of his son or donating to a museum for people's to see he was trying to sell that too in eBay ..... He is disgusting there is nothing in him to be trusted ...

High road? He took the easy road. He didn't love Afeni, and she was too dark and unattractive for him to claim. That resentment of her passed down to his son. Until that son became rich and famous, then suddenly he wanted to be a dad...to a grown man. He married and was a father to his other children, though. Guess cause he actually liked their mother.

Men who say "well my baby mama lied on me," as an excuse for not being there at all, then turn around and talk about how much the child looks like them. Yeah, that's a deadbeat. He's got some Vibe Magazine info about "his son." He had as much of a relationship with Tupac as I do. I didn't know the man AT ALL. I don't know who is worse the deadbeats in the comments supporting him or Billy. Because men that actually raised their children tend to be offended by this kind of silly talk.

Much respect to that brother 💯 My father wasn't in my life & when I started asking questions at around 29 years old, I still remember the cold look of disdain & resentment my mother displayed towards me for asking. She said if you wanna look for him than that's on you but I'm not looking for him. Later my mother's childhood best friend found him for me on Facebook. He was nothing like I'd imagined he would be, he was extremely care free, a jokester he was like the oil that wouldn't be caught by accountability 😔🤦🏾‍♂️. Upon our 1st conversation after having found him, he laughed & joked amongst himself, as though he & I were the best of friends, never once acknowledging never being there for me he blamed my mom for everything. It turned out he had been a married man & a pastor, whom secretly preyed on my mother & he chased & pursued her & when she finally gave in to all of his advances she saw the lie. He said his wife didn't want him to visit me. According to a few people I bared a striking resemblance to him and I just remember working extremely hard to be as good as or perhaps better than him, this imaginary figure I'd carried in my head throughout a majority of my young adult life and by the time I'd actually met him as a full grown man I was established doing better than him. After finding him at 29 it took a year or 2 for me to actually meet him in the flesh because in that 1st phone call he was too overbearing, I mean he spent the first half of the conversation admiring how attractive my mother used to be to him, as though I were a wing man of his he even asked where she was & said he'd like to talk to her🤨😒.🤦🏾‍♂️😔Never once acknowledging that it was the 1st time he was actually speaking with his son (with whom he hadn't seen in over 2 decades). I was heart broken at what a creep he'd seemingly turned out to be. I later came to & understanding I had with myself, a harsh reality I had come to face, which was that our parents are just people,... flawed & all they are only human. I forgave my father but it was extremely tough for me considering the fact that the good book for warns us: "children honor your parents for your days will be longer on the face of this earth." I tried my best to honor him by keeping an open line of communication despite his inconsiderateness (via internet), turns out I have an older brother & a few sisters I've never met as well. After one conversation with my brother it all started to make sense, my father wasn't the idea father AT ALL in fact my brother nor sisters even knew I'd existed. The hurt the shame left me in a place where I no longer care to meet them because I'd rather keep keeping on without any extra drama. After this my mission in life was to break that generational course of degeneracy off of my name & my legacy but as faith would have it I'd meet a woman while I was down in my luck & she had dreams & aspirations for the Future types thug gentleman of the world & when I couldn't comply as a hard working young black man whom made an honest living she chose the streets over me while in her 9th month of pregnancy with our child. She chased some street dude from her past, lied about it and did everything she could to keep me away from seeing my son. She'd even arranged a meet up only for her to show up with the kid and some 6 foot tall stranger looking to fight me on more than 2 occasions by the 3rd time I decided to not fight anymore to see my son because the last time she'd popped up provoked a fake argument and some tall young black street guy rolled up behind her looking to defend her honor when I'd never cursed her out nor put .y hands on her in my life 💯 On many occasions I'd reach out to hear from my son and she'd make up excuses saying he's in the bath or she'll have him call me back and the funny thing is I don't even think she told him because he loved me very much and he loved being with me. To know that he's out there somewhere probably struggling for the sake of her pride disturbed me especially when I saw Pac's new documentary glamorizing his mother for being such a strong black woman, I think to myself how much more stable & perhaps stable minded our boy Tupac would've been had he had "his father" Mr Garland in his life.💯😔🤦🏾‍♂️ Thank you Mr Garland for being so transparent you've only further contributed more humanization to the legend & one of my all time childhood heroes Tupac Shakur (Lucky inspired me) I some times feel like a coward for not trying harder to see my child but I've experienced 1st hand the crooked biased nature of the court system as it pertains to black men. Also you pretty much have to have money for lawyers & what not... But the beautiful thing about Mr Garlands story is that you got the chance to live to tell. The truth prevailed & now your legacy has been restored for all to see.

I don't know her family, but I just hope 🙏🏾 that you didn't have a baby by someone with all degenerate friends and family. With much respect for your situation, have you fought for shared custody or visitation of your child? It’s easy for both men and women to blame the other but oftentimes the men just seem to use that blame game to live a carefree life. Much respect to Mr. Garland & really good to know that Tupac got quality time with his dad before he passed, but he’s admitted that he didn’t fight for his child. The blame & excuses have to stop on both sides. And fathers definitely need to fight harder to be in their childrens life no matter how hard the mothers make it because at the end of it all they are your children. You get 1st dibs in the influence in their lives. Instead you are choosing to allow “street dudes” to be an influence. I truly hope things work out for you!

I followed Billy’s daughter on social media. He was/is a loving beautfiul father from their perspective. Tupac situation is unfortunate outcome of choices we make in life. His daughter are smart. Or of them is a writer. I use to communicate with her before IG took my page over revolutionary listen
He is manipulating the truth about the “I’m dead” situation. Tupac’s father who fathered him as a daddy was dead. Billy is the one who came blazing with lawyers demanding half. That’s facts. On everything it said his father that he knew was dead. His stepfather stepped up to raise Pac; and even did so from prison, too.
Mr. Garland, you’re wrong for manipulating the facts when the truth is enough. He did go after PAC’s money. He and this shady lawyer. Afeni couldn’t believe. They grieving trying to fight these executive form tupacs intellectual property and now sue gotta fight with this man talkijg about give me half. Half of what?? Afeni was the one who said just give him some money so he can go away. They wasn’t trying to give him shit. Afeni and the family all live in togetherness. That’s how Pac loved & lived. People thought he was dead bc of a song Tupac wrote and then the younger generation started listening to Tupac’s music; more specifically white kids and they started publishing blogs that his father was dead. It’s sorta the same thing like what Mr. Garland is doing - manipulating the truth by mixing songs and the oastn the facts don’t change anything as far as he not trying to be his father until he recognized he looked like him in the movie juice. Before then Billy wasn’t checking for Afeni or Tupac and that’s the truth. .
